Sandals Royal Barbados

The location of the hotel was in an amazing spot. The beach was very nice. The water was a bit rough, but we still enjoyed ourselves. Plenty of beach chairs plenty of pool chairs lots of towels. Both properties have amazing rooms and rooftop pools. The restaurants were decor very nicely. However, food was not as good as we thought it should be. The French restaurant did have the best food for us entertainment at night was OK. We saw a couple singers would’ve been nice to have more options for nighttime entertainment. We were tired of going to DJ parties. You can only go to a few of those but they had them every night. Our butler Kareem was really great and amazing. He did everything great for us and the pool bartender at the infinity pool named Larkin was the best bartender by far you have to go see him there overall we had an amazing time. I think if the food was better and we’re entertainment at night it would be a five star for us. I would recommend this resort for anybody who wants to try out sandals. I don’t plan on going back only because I prefer going to different places throughout my life and I want to try to complete a bucket list but overall I would recommend anyone visit sandals Barbados.

We booked the Royal Seaside Crystal Lagoon Swim-up One Bedroom Butler Suite w/ Patio Tranquility Soaking Tub – 1SUP for a 7-night stay from December 6-13, 2025. Arrival: We arrived at BGI airport via American Airlines from Miami. Arrival at the airport was around 1:20PM local time. We had zero issues retrieving bags and getting through customs. It took us about 30 minutes total to get to the Sandals desk outside the airport. We waited about 15 minutes total before our bags were loaded and we were on a shuttle to the resort with a full bus of people. It took about 15 minutes to get from the airport to the resort, and the drive was not bad at all. Arrival at the resort was simple, and the front desk verified our online check-in, and then called our butlers to give us a tour of the property, get lunch, and then escort us to our room. We had requested the butler team of De’Angelo and Bernard, and we did receive them as our butlers, with the third being Shanna Kay. Room: This was our first stay in a swim-up room, so we were not 100% sure what to expect. We were in room 7115 (middle of the Wahoo building). The room was a more updated room, and very spacious, more modern décor and not the older mahogany-style furniture. The bathroom was updated, and the shower was very large. The patio was a good size and lead right to the steps for the swim-up. We are not sure if it was the time of year or not, but the swim-up was mostly unusable at a paltry 78º. This room got almost no sun at the pool, and we found the only way it was usable was to keep moving to increase your blood flow and not be too cold. We used the swim-up pool 2-3 days, but not for any length of time at all. We had heard from others that some swim-up rooms tend to get very damp, so we brought a damp-rid bag to err on the side of caution. We didn’t experience too many dampness issues in our room and ended up just putting the bag in our bathroom to help with the humidity in there. Food: Breakfast was usually the American Tavern, but we did go to Spices a couple days when we asked our butlers to reserve chairs at the Barbados-side main pool. Standard buffet style food at both places. Lunch was typically jerk shack or pizza. Pizza was very flour heavy, so we ate it way less than normal and asked for jerk shack more often. We almost always ask our butlers to bring us lunch and rarely go to the restaurants to eat. We did go to Neptunes one day and found the lunch less than ideal, so we did not attempt it a second time. Dinners were spread out between Soy, Schooners, Butch’s Island Chop House, Bombay, Butch’s Steak and Seafood, La Parisienne, and the returning guest dinner (not impressed with the RTG meal). We enjoyed all our dinners, but Bombay was our favorite, by far! Both Butch’s meals were solid, so was La Parisienne. Schooners we were hoping for more, but it was still a good meal, and the same with Soy. For snacks, we spent far too much time at Sweet n’ Saltys and Café De Paris, but we did enjoy their iced coffees and treats. Our butlers did end up bringing us coconut shrimp one day and random snacks other days (chicken tenders were very good), although we were spoiled at SRC with the coconut shrimp and kebabs almost daily earlier this year, which only happened once during our stay here. Beach: We spent only a few hours at the beach in Barbados. It was very windy, to the point where it was blowing sand at your feet. The water was very rough and wavy, so after maybe an hour or so we left and went to the infinity pool. We did not attempt the beach again because of the winds, and it was one of our least favorite beaches at any of the Sandals’ resorts. Pool(s): We spent time at the royal side infinity pool, south seas pool, and rooftop pool, the main pool on the Barbados side, and the European pool as well. We did two days each at the European and main pool, and one day each at the others. You cannot get chairs reserved by butlers at the infinity pool or south seas pool, so keep that in mind if you want prime seating. We did not get up early on those days and did not have any issues finding chairs. Pool temperatures were all mostly the same, but the European pool was the warmest of all of them. The rooftop pool was rather chilly the day we went up there, but it was also an overcast day with rain, so that could have attributed to the cooler temps. We did use the hot tub at the south seas pool and on the roof top. Both had issues with the jets not working. Not sure if that is the norm, but neither worked when we tried to use them. Tours: We did ask to be scheduled for the complimentary snorkeling tour. It was supposed to be 10:30AM on Thursday, and Shanna Kay booked it and confirmed for us on the day we arrived (Saturday). On Thursday we showed up at the dive shop at 10:15 to only be told they left at 10AM. It seems they recently changed from 10:30 departure to 10AM, but they did not let our butlers know, or anyone else, so we missed the morning tour. They did manage to get us on the 1PM tour, but it was a bit frustrating that there was some miscommunication, as when we relayed this to our butler team, they seemed surprised of the change. Hopefully this is something they remedy to avoid the confusion of the departure time. Service: We had mixed feelings about potential service, as Barbados was an island we had been avoiding due to hearing the mixed feedback on service. While we understand Sandals is no-tipping at all resorts, we also know that local laws allow tipping to happen at this resort. We only saw one person being tipped during our 7-night stay and she put it directly into a jar where it seems others had done the same. We did not feel pressured to tip at all, and we did not feel like we received lower service because we did not tip. Everyone was very friendly at this resort, and we had ZERO service issues. Our butler team of Bernard, De’Angelo, and Shanna Kay were OUTSTANDING! We were very happy that others had recommended them, and they showed why so many folks say they’re the best! Departure: Our flight was scheduled for 5:45PM departure via Caribbean Airlines to St Vincent. We found out the day before via Caribbean Air that our flight was moved up to 5PM departure because the airport at SVD was closing early. We were informed bag pick up was at 9:30AM, check out was 11AM, and we needed to be on the bus at 3:30PM. With the change in flight, it ended up moving up our bus departure to around 1:30PM (no fault of the resort on our flight change, and it was likely when they had another bus that would be leaving). Since it changed our departure time by a couple hours, we opted to not use the departure lounge and just hung out in the butler lounge after checking out of our room, then grabbing lunch. Check in at BGI was simple and easy, almost no line to check in, but security was very long. It was about 1.5-2 hours to get through the security line. Once through, we still had a while before our flight was boarding, so we grabbed some food and hung out. Our gate was one of the ones away from the main terminal, and they finally called us towards their around 4:15, but we ended up waiting around for quite a while before boarding started. We ended up not leaving until closer to the 5:45PM original time, so it made for a very long departure day, which we likely could have kept our 3:30PM departure (again, not Sandals fault). Overall, our stay at Royal Barbados was a good one. We have another swim-up booked in the future, so we are interested to see if it’s warmer, and it’s also not in December. The staff at Barbados and Royal Barbados were very friendly and there were no service issues at all, which really put our minds at ease. Our butler team of Bernard, De’Angelo, and Shanna Kay are what made this stay for us. They were very attentive without being overly intrusive, and they picked up quickly on what we did and didn’t like. We are not sure how soon we would return to Barbados again with still needing to knock off more properties from our list, but it was a good stay overall!

This was our 10th visit to Sandals Royal Barbados and our 2nd visit in 2025. We have been coming here since 2015 and we have already booked to visit twice in 2026. We found the resort to be so welcoming, so well looked after and there wasn’t a member of staff that didn’t acknowledge us as we walked around or helped us if we needed anything. We had a penthouse room in block 7, a lovely room, cleaned every day without fail and drinks replenished in the fridge every day, we couldn’t have asked for more. We loved all the food, but our favourite meal is the Filet Mignon in Butches. The restaurant’s cater for all tastes and we never had any trouble booking the restaurants at the times we wanted and never had to wait to be seated. We did not have butler service, but were Club level. There was never any issues getting sunbeds (with umbrella) at any time of day, we managed to get seats where we wanted every day without any issues and without having to get up early. Some days there were great seats still available at 10am, and the resort is very large with many pools so if one area is busy just go to another. We spent 10 days in paradise, including Christmas Day, and cannot wait to return next year.

Me and my husband decided to do something different this year for Christmas. We decided to book the Sandals Royal Barbados and they didn't disappoint us. The grounds were beautiful and our butler service was top notch. Kadeem, Tony, and Traymein took great care of us and made sure that we wanted for nothing. The food and the entertainment was great. The Sandals Royal Barbados made our Christmas experience one that we will never forget.

Sasha Sasha Sasha!!! Sasha booked my husband and I for massages and I love her personality! She had us laughing until our faces hurt! Sasha massaged my husband and the lovely Ms. Shellana massage me! Ms. Shellana worked these muscles!! I left feeling soo much better. My husband enjoyed Sasha as well. We didn’t know how tense we were. We recommend both of these ladies. P.S. my husband got a pedicure as soon as we got back, Sasha👀😂😂😂😂

My husband and I spent seven glorious days at this resort and had a superb time. What made it so special was our dream team, three women who were our butlers during our stay. Shameka, Nadia and Toria were an amazing team, working seamlessly together and always greeting us with a smile. Because of their hard work, everything was worry free and we were just able to relax. We enjoyed seven different restaurants during our stay, and every experience was five star. We especially enjoyed Jack, the manager of the Merry Monkey, Keisha, the hostess at Neptune’s, and of course, Ricardo, our shuttle driver. Happy New Year to all and thank you again for a wonderful time.

It was our third time at Sandals Barbados/Royal Barbados resort. Spent another 7 nights there. And we enjoyed it so much! Everything either met or exceeded our expectations! Let’s go through our experience for every category: 1. Resort overall: 5 out of 5. It is a very convenient location, close to the airport. This location is a combination of two resorts (Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados) and no matter which one you stay in, you get to use the amenities and restaurants of both. There is much to try and explore that one week is not even enough! 2. Beaches: 5 out of 5. The beach on Barbados resort is our favorite. Spectacular views and very pleasant water. The sand is amazingly soft and flat, no bumps or potholes. No seaweed at all. Wave breaking rock walls is such a great idea! Even when surrounding ocean was “wavy” we could enjoy swimming/soaking there with just a little bit of waves which made it fun to track and jump. 3. Buildings and room: 5 out of 5. Buildings are being maintained perfectly well. The room is exactly as it is shown on the pictures on their website, no surprises. Very clean, no excessive humidity, no unpleasant smells. AC worked great. Very cozy balcony and we really enjoyed the bathtub there. Just always align your expectations with what you’ve paid for 😊 4. Restaurants, bars and food: 5 out of 5. We really enjoyed all of it! The loyalty dinner for returning guests was awesome, as usual. We also dined at Soy Sushi, Buch’s chophouse and Buch’s steakhouse, French, Indian (Bombay), Neptunes, Irish pub. Our favorites were Soy Sushi (carpaccio, nigiri, rolls) and Buch’s chophouse (roasted oysters, filet minion, aged steaks – perfect), but all others were great too. They have great selection of lunch options: Mariners, pizza, Spices buffet, Neptunes. Breakfast options are outstanding: Tavern (American) buffet, Spices (Caribbean) buffet, Greenhouse, multiple coffee/pastries places. Our favorite was Greenhouse – lobster omelet and avocado toast are our winning breakfast meals! Rooftop bar is a blast! 5. Pools and hot tubs: 5 out of 5. All pools had very pleasant water temperatures. Infinity pool was our favorite, but we also really liked roof pool/hot tub and swim-up poll/hot tub combos. They were all so great that it was hard to make a choice! 6. Entertainment: 4 out of 5. Sandals Barbados/Royal Barbados has nice stage setup. During our previous visits they had shows there almost every night. They downshifted on that: shows are not daily and the level of shows/bands is now lower. But it is still nice and bowling, karaoke and DJ parties add to it. Instrumentalist at the courtyard bar was amazing. And piano bar is a real blast! 7. Service: 5 out of 5. We didn’t even have a need to call or request any additional services, all our needs/expectations were met timely and with high quality.

We brought our two adult daughters to Sandals Royal Barbados pre-Christmas. While the resort is more designed for couples, it worked okay for the four of us but our girls did have to share a king sized bed because that is all they offer. Overall, the resort is beautiful, impeccably clean, many pools to choose from (some quieter than others, the infinity pool near the beach is more of a party atmosphere and crowded) and having both the regular Sandals and Royal Barbados Sandals combined for one big mega resort was nice, giving guests a multitude of dining options to walk to. The fitness facility is very nice, used it daily. Rooms were adequate, staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and available. Having an activities desk at the resort was great. We booked a half day catamaran trip which was a blast, and requested a last minute 4 hour private tour around the island which was also very lovely and informative. Lastly, and probably most importantly, the food was extremely mediocre. Our (adult) daughters, who will eat most anything, complained the most. Room service was largely unappealing, tasteless, and sloppy. Most of our dine-in meals were okay, not great. Wait times varied to get a table, in general an early dinner was a safe bet. Butch's, which is supposed to be the top restaurant on the property, was honestly our worst meal. I received a heavily seasoned and over salted filet (which was unrecognizable as an actual steak - it looked more like a hamburger patty) and finger-sized lobster tail was overcooked, dry, and rubbery. I ordered a side of mushrooms and leeks and it came in a thimble sized portion to be consumed by 2 bites. Everything on the property is under-sized, which I can't blame the resort for wanting to control waste, however, I overheard many guests order two entrees at a time. Breakfast in general was more "safe" and edible. Given the reasonable cost of this resort, I think my expectations of the food were met, but overall, a pretty big disappointment and for that I would not return. I also would not recommend bringing adult children, as it seems as though some of the staff may have hassled my two daughters about whether or not they were actually guests. since they weren't with us for much of the time. I'll give this review a 4/5 stars, only because it was a beautiful property and loved hanging out by the pools and the staff was great.

31 friends and family flew out for a week to celebrate mine and my husband’s 25th wedding anniversary. I was worried from reading all the negative reviews before we went, but I needn’t have been. It was amazing! Zaria from the group bookings team looked after us brilliantly, from the group dinners to the dine around sheet she organised for us, the whole week went like clockwork. The food in the restaurants was amazing quality and none of us had a problem getting sun beds. Overall it was a fantastic week and I can’t thank the Sandals UK team for their help in organising everything for us.

After spending a lovely honeymoon at Sandals Grande St. Lucian in June 2019, my husband and I decided to try Sandals again and booked Royal Barbados for my 60th Milestone Birthday celebration. On 12/3/25, we arrived and were greeted by Ackhil, who is one of the most warm, caring, and professional representatives we’ve ever met from Sandals. 🤩 There was some liquid sunshine falling so Ackhil drove us to our room so we wouldn’t have to walk in the rain. On our way, Ackhil spotted a resort monkey which we appreciated him pointing out since the sighting was a fun and neat way to begin our Caribbean vacation. Ackhil’s title is Butler but based on how well he treated us, we consider Ackhil a Dear Friend, that we will one day visit with again! 🤗 Ackhil had already read the Butler preferences, included wishing me a Happy Birthday, knew what excursions we had planned, and outlined our dinner reservations with the times and restaurants we had requested. Ackhil provided us with a tour of our room, provided information about the Royal and adjoining Barbados resort, provided us with the Butler phone, popped the champagne and our vacation began with us knowing that everything was in place for an awesome birthday vacation. 🙌🏽 If there’s a mentoring program that shows Butlers how to provide excellent customer service with a high level of professionalism, Ackhil would be amazing in that role!! Through the resort, we booked the Garrison Historical Sightseeing Tour for 12/4/25 and as a history buff, my husband enjoyed it immensely. On the ride there with James, he provided us with a wealth of information along with Peter being an extremely informative historian and guide during the actual tour. It was wonderful to understand the connection of George Washington to Barbados that we never learned in US history and to visit the George Washington House and grounds, along with seeing sites associated with the British military, seeing cannons at forts and the National Armory, and walking through the Garrison Tunnels. We’re keeping our eye out for Peter’s historical novel which will be amazing! Returning to the resort, we met and worked with Shae and she was very professional and met all our needs. And on the date of my birthday, because of Shae’s warm personality, she really made my special day fun! 🥳 We requested and Shae provided a front row spot on the beach and provided us with food and drinks, as requested. A special surprise was when she was joined by her ‘Beyonces’ and they sang Happy Birthday to me…that was so very sweet!❣️And, an even bigger surprise was waiting for us, returning to our room to Happy Birthday bed art and a drawn bath, which was a perfect relaxing transition from the beach birthday celebration…Nice Touch!! We also had the opportunity to work with Rashied who was very professional during our interactions and went above and beyond to ensure all of our needs were met. After returning from the 7-hour 4x4 Best of Barbados Jeep Experience, which was another amazing excursion that we booked through the resort, it was a lovely surprise to return to additional bed and towel art created by Rashied and Ackhil, along with a drawn bath…it really made us feel special!! 🥰 On our last resort day before heading out, we got to work with Rahyeme who was so very nice and professional. We requested and Rahyeme provided a front row spot on the beach and provided us cocktails. Rahyeme was so attentive and anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask, which was so very much appreciated! We stayed in Room 7106 Royal Seaside Crystal Lagoon Swim-up Room and each day, beverages and ice were always stocked. And I meant to note the name of the housekeeping staff listed being responsible for the room and I believe her name was listed as Octavia but I do apologize if I’m incorrect. Regardless, our room was expertly cleaned each day which was very much appreciated. The food was delicious at each restaurant and provided an enjoyable dining experience. We especially enjoyed beginning our morning at the American Tavern when Tony was there making the best made to order omelets, with so much happiness and a smile! And the ladies working the tables were so friendly and attentive which started your day on a happy note! All in all, we had an incredible vacation experience and enjoyed the resort entertainment…The Beach Party was our favorite!! It was really hard having to leave on 12/10/25 but having Shae say her goodbyes on our way to the lobby and having Ackhil and Rahyeme give us goodbye hugs on the bus before our departure, made it somewhat easier since we know we will see each of them again, when we return to Sandals Royal Barbados. THANKS AGAIN to our Top Notch Butler Team including Ackhil, Shae, Rashied, and Rahyeme, for making my 60th Milestone Birthday week, very memorable, amazing, and fun, for me and my husband!!! I visited Sandals Royal Barbados with my husband for our honeymoon, the last two weeks of November. When we arrived at the airport, we were easily able to find the sandals desk for transport, we had to wait quite a while for the coach to turn up and our cases were left behind at the airport to be brought on the next coach, although slightly worried our cases did turn up safe and sound. The transfer from the airport was about 15-20 minutes and we had a lovely commentary about the island from our driver. When we arrived, we were directed to the Club Lounge with a hot towel and shortly followed by a mimosa. We were given a small orientation about the resort and taken to our rooms, it was absolutely pouring it down, but we were supplied with umbrellas to get to our room somewhat dry! The room we had was a South Seas Crystal Lagoon Club Level Suite with balcony and Tranquillity Soaking Tub. The room was stunning. It was large with a king size bed, sofa, large bathroom with shower and the balcony was a great size. The bathtub on the balcony was huge, and we each used it on several occasions, there are curtains you can pull for privacy. The minibar was stocked daily with coke, diet coke, sprite, fruit juice, white and red wine and champagne. There were also basic spirits too which were fine. On the days we had our do not disturb sign on we got a call about 5:30pm everyday asking if we needed anything for our fridge, which was a nice touch. Housekeeping did a good job and realised that we didn’t want our room doing everyday so put in extra towels for us, the housekeeper when I ran into her was also very lovely. We spent every day by the pool near the Sports Bar, this pool often had a bit of music but was never too rowdy and the bartenders Oshin, Deshane and Hidie were our favourites here. Deshane and Oshin made my husband random drinks they would just put together and he always loved them! The mudslide was my favourite cocktail and a must try! I always got a sun lounger here with a parasol if I was down for 7am, I never really struggled but it would’ve been more difficult if I left it any later, they did fill up quickly. It was frustrating when we were sat next to butler reserved sun loungers all day and no one turned up, but I do believe the resort has put a policy in place to stop this now. We found all the food to be lovely here, and often found something we likes, since we were here for so long, we tried most of the restaurants. Breakfast For breakfast we mostly went to the American Tavern. We usually went for about 8ish and never had to wait for a table, food was always hot and there was a chef doing omelettes, fried eggs and poached eggs too. We also tried the French restaurant once, we had to wait a while to be seated and our food took a long time to arrive after ordering, there were also small birds everywhere often landing on glassware or silverware, it was also essentially a bit conservatory with no air con so it was incredibly hot too so that’s why we only did this once. We also did room service once for breakfast. The menu wasn’t that extensive, but it was okay, the food took about 45 minutes to arrive after ordering but it did come hot and they called us when it was being sent up so we knew it was on the way. Lunch There were lots of great lunch options to choose from. Neptunes - Nice but sometimes a bit of a wait, but staff were nice and the food was delicious and not too long waiting for food every time we came. The Mariner/Dinos – This was on Barbados side, and we really like the mariner, the food was delicious and extras/changes to food was no issue at all, it’s just a bit confusing about how to order. We did the Mariner on a few occasions. Dinos pizza was underwhelming though, the pizzas were small and they tasted really flour-y. Spices Buffet – We only did this once, it was okay if you just wanted a little bit, much of the food was on the colder side and not that much selection even though it was a buffet. Butches Hot Dogs – This was near American Tavern/Chi restaurant and was great If you just wanted a small lunch, we had these most days and we wanted something small as we’d often have a big breakfast. Jerk Shack – This again was okay. We sat down the first time we went, and it took ages for our food to arrive, I think they forgot about us, but they food was nice, especially the chicken. We took it away the second time to eat by the pool and it was much faster! Dinner American Tavern – This was a themed buffet; we only did this once on our first night was we were well fed on our flight and only wanted something small. It was underwhelming but we didn’t feel the need to go again Neptunes – This was nice, but we waited 40 minutes to be seated, but the restaurant was short staffed, so this was okay. The meatballs to start was nice and I can recommend the crispy chicken main too. Chi – The only a la carte restaurant we didn’t enjoy. The menu was confusing and the plates were small and not a lot of choice really. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant at all. Bombay – Our favourite. We went twice and saved it for the final night at the resort, the lamb chops, butter chicken and butter naans were beautiful and we just enjoyed the whole experience. Butches (Royal side) – another favourite. My steak was probably one of the best I have ever had, and we both really enjoyed the food, I can highly recommend the truffle fries as a side! The only let down here is that our server was a little rude and not very attentive, she forgot to give us a second set of cutlery for our mains. The Deputy Manager Darren on the other hand who was the host that night was wonderful, and remembered us when he worked at other restaurants, the guy was probably a standout staff member for us. Butches (Barbados Side) – This was nice, and the steaks again were lovely. My starter of mushroom soup was underwhelming but my husband really loved the crab cake starter. The Oreo cheesecake and the carrot cake were probably the best desserts we had for our visit. Soy – As someone who went into this restaurant not liking sushi and coming out with a full belly I was very surprised. I enjoyed this restaurant so much we did it twice. The crispy chicken and the spring roll starters are not to be missed, and for main you can order as many rolls as you wish. My husband ordered lots of different sushi as he loves it and I (as a non-sushi fan) had the Crispy Philly Rolls. Would absolutely recommend this. Danelle was a standout waitress for us here! Kimonos – The food here was good, and it was nice to get a variety (veg, steak, seafood etc.) but the real reason to go to this restaurant is the experience. Chris our Teppanyaki chef was funny, charismatic and out on an excellent host and made the experience very enjoyable. If you’ve never done a proper Teppanyaki experience before I would absolutely book into this restaurant. Merry Monkey – This “English pub” was okay, we had a meal here as we could get in within half an hour. The poutine husband had was nice and he enjoyed it, the mozzarella sticks were mid. My steak and fries were cooked nicely but my husbands “pie” was meat with a small triangle of puff pastry on the top. Portofino’s – Another one we liked and did this twice. We both had the meatball starter which was our favourite. Out of the dishes we had my husband’s favourite was the veal and I really enjoyed the mushroom linguine. Other stuff - We drank at the sports bar many times and it had a good variety of sport on from football to American football to F1. It was always quite busy but never had to wait too long for a drink. We also used the pool table a lot here! - The sky bar was nice but often got busy, especially with over noisy Americans. It’s best to come here for an early drink ad watch the sunset and then going off to dinner - The Wi-Fi was great and very rarely dropped. We managed to stream two football games on our iPad with 0 issues! - There’s a great offering of alcohol here including many well-known liquor brands, however it was disappointing that there was no Rose wine at all as part of the all-inclusive. - We booked a tour through the resort to Harrison’s Cave (100% recommend by the way) but we were delayed over 20 minutes because 2 people decided coffee and doughnuts were more important than being on time. They should’ve given them 10 minutes and then left without them. It meant we had less time at the attraction and there wasn’t a lot to begin with. - Do the included snorkel trip and book is as soon as you arrive. Sandals staff were great and Carlise Bay was beautiful, we even saw a turtle which made our holiday and our guide made sure to point him out so everyone could see. - Be polite to the staff. Yes, they’re doing their job but a please and thank you costs absolutely nothing. I was shocked at how many people didn’t say use common politeness when ordering drinks or food.

My husband and I joined friends for a 6 night trip to Sandals Royal Barbados to celebrate her 60th birthday and my husband’s retirement! What a fabulous trip! The weather was amazing. The resort was all inclusive and we opted for the butler service! Jabari, Moesha, and Stephen were our top notch butlers! Very attentive and helpful! I highly recommend going for the Butler service! We enjoyed ourselves immensely! The Bajan people are so incredibly friendly!

Overall we had a pleasant time at Sandals Royal Barbados. We paid for private transfer and butler service on an ocean view room. The transfer went very well and the drivers were great. Upon arrival to Sandals there was a lot of waiting (45 minutes+) for our butler to take us to our room. We found out the butler was never informed we were there, so the initial reception was rather unpleasant. The butler made things as pleasant as possible from that point forward, until the phone system stopped working five days into the vacation. Then it was difficult to get the butler service we received the first four days. Without the phones, departing was even worse than the reception. Nobody picked up our bags for hours, which made the departure process cumbersome. The bag pickup was the Sandals process (same thing happened in St. Lucia) , so bringing our bags to or from the rooms was not an option. Now, all that said, the resort was beautiful and very accommodating. The pools and restaurants were all very nice. Our room was outstanding and absolutely lovely. Overall, we had a very nice vacation!

We really enjoyed our time at Sandals Royal Barbados. Sanita travel counsellor had emailed in advance and asked for some simple accessible soloutions due to my partners visual Impairment, Dexter the concierge manager did an excellent job and also involved Corrie (pool Manager) who was so helpful getting us sunbeds my the steps of the pool so my partner could independently access the pool, this made a huge difference to our holiday. Dexter booked us restaurants each night at 8:30 in well lit areas which again made a big difference to us. My partner would have been unable to use the locker changing rooms independently as they was separated by male/female and wouldn’t of been able to get around and use the shower & lockers in his own, Dexter arranged for a late check out so he could use the shower. I’d also like to thank Melissa guest experience manager who went was so helpful sorting out an unfortunate incident with an unpleasant guest at the pool and really, although it was nothing to do with the hotel she dealt with the problem in a professional and polite manor. We really enjoyed the ice cream shop, the chophouses, the clean swimming pools and floats. And many of the casual lunchtime restaurants. We loved all the gardens and wildlife around and especially appreciated how friendly all the staff were. Shout yo Alicia for making the best cocktails especially the frozen margaritas- they were outstanding. Also thank you to Kelly-Anne for being super friendly in the chop house and especially at breakfast time In the Parisian.
