Once you get through the air port and all the sale’s pirates our chariot awaited to take us to our pampering station. The trip took about 45 minutes so we conversed with the driver. Upon arrival we got the welcome drink and were directed to the preferred area to check in. We were met by our representative Melenda (very nice). She made the check in smooth. We upgraded to the suite in building 1 on the 5th floor. The room was very spacious and comfortable with a lovely view of the ocean. We arrived at noon and finally got in our room around 3:30. That was not a good way to start our anniversary. Our butler Duran and Gustavo were very attentive. The food was ok, the best thing was the pizza. Overall everything was good but for us to be impressions members the staff could have done better for our anniversary. The property is nice and clean. The entertainment was very good. The waiters and 1 particular cook was excellent because they went above and beyond expectations. Johnathan (waiter), Daniel (supervisor) and chef Carlos at the El Patio restaurant. Great job.

This is the best Secrets we have vacationed to. It is so relaxing, the service was wonderful and we had the best massages and facials. The pools are great and the beach clean. The entertainment was great and very talented. The bands, the fire show, cabaret and the silent disco....

This is the best Secrets we have vacationed to. It is so relaxing, the service was wonderful and we had the best massages and facials. The pools are great and the beach clean. The entertainment was great and very talented. The bands, the fire show, cabaret and the silent disco. Something we wouldn’t try at home. It is hard for me to travel to other countries with a food allergy but the waitstaff here understood and accommodated to my allergy. Luis at the Oceana and the buffet made sure none of my food contained egg and accommodated my meals and I was able to enjoy a delicious meal without worries. Thank you Luis for making our trip less stressful!!!

Just got back from this resort, 3/4 to 3/8. We stayed in a Preferred Club Ocean View Suite which included a private Butler Eduardo. We were celebrating our one year anniversary! The grounds are amazing. There's enough restaurants to have options, and I think most were open each note. We were in building 3, with a fabulous view of the preferred club pool and the beach, it felt as good as a beachfront suite in my opinion. We came to this property after 3 nights at Impressions Isla Mujeres and feel that this property, Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres is a much better property, there's a number of reasons behind that. Our butler Eduardo really stood out as being exceptional. He went beyond my expectations. We arrived and were assigned a room that turned out to have a faulty air conditioner. I messaged Eduardo using WhatsApp and within an hour we were assigned a room on the top floor (5th Floor) in building 3 with a better view than our original room! There was also an occasion where took an all day excursion to Xplor and Playa Del Carmen, which and Eduardo wanted to know the time we would return. We were pleasantly surprised to find that Eduardo had drawn a bath for us in our room right before we returned. On our last day he had yet another surprise for us in our room to kick our anniversary off in style. Eduardo has an excellent rapport and we felt lucky that he was assigned to us! We did one excursion to Xplor in Playa Del Carmen, using a private shuttle through MeetPlaya. Strongly recommend using MeetPlay, Leo who runs the company was excellent, we had three private transfers that day and it all worked out perfect. I preferred them over Amstar who we used to get us from Airport to hotel. We also did the Spa at this property and recommend it to all guests. We got a couples massage , followed by a hydrotherapy sessions which include a number of stations, from Sauna, steam room. Hot and cold plunge. which will wake you right up ! Final tip is that Himitsu which has Teppenyake tables requires reservations which are hard to get, they must be made the day of the reservation. Other guests were logging on at midnight to get a reservation because it fills. We turned this over to Eduardo and presto chango reservation made , no fuss muss !

We just returned from our second stay at Secrets Playa Blanca. Our first trip was in October, which we enjoyed, but felt there were several areas for improvement. We loved this trip and we were pleased with several aspects of the resort that seemed improved from our earlier visit. Pros The service was top notch on both of our visits. We have found that the Secrets resorts in Mexico are very difficult to beat for their level of service. Everyone is welcoming and really work very hard for all guests. There are some stand out employees that really made this trip special for us that I will mention later in this review. We had room 3515, which was wonderful. All the rooms are great, but the view from this room was nearly perfect. The preferred lounge was much improved over our past stay. There were much better snacks available throughout the day in the preferred lounge, even though this is still not quite as good as the options available at Akumal. The food across the board was very good for our stay. It was pretty good on our first visit, but we enjoyed every restaurant more this visit. The drinks were good as usual, but I do recommend ordering a double most of the time. Ivan at the preferred club made the best watermelon margaritas. This was just about the perfect beach drink. It was made with fresh watermelon instead of a mix and had just the right amount of sweetness. We may have ordered this drink an insane amount of times because they were so good. I really love the layout with the Rendezvous bar being so centrally located. It was always nice sitting by a firepit after dinner listening to the live music. We rented a Bali bed on the beach one day. It was very comfortable and had a great view. Last visit, we had an issue in our room with a musty smell that we eventually discovered was coming from the decorative rope behind the bed. We brought a spray this time, but it really wasn’t an issue this time anyway. Cons The lack of quesadillas by the pool/beach was disappointing for my wife. This is normally her favorite lunch. Even though it wasn’t on the barefoot menu last visit either, they would still make it. This time they would not. They still do not do the mixed shots like mini beers. There are ways around it like ordering a full glass of each ingredient and mixing it yourself, but I still miss the fun shots that we have ordered lots of times over the years at other Secrets resorts. I don’t really understand this policy since you can order straight tequila shots all day every day. I think they should vary the pool pop-up lunch options a little, even though the tacos and salsa were exceptional. Our waiter for the beach Bali bed wasn’t great. I’m not sure why (we were certainly tipping) but he just about disappeared after noon. They still need more chairs and palapas in front of the dunes on the beach. The waterfront chairs go pretty fast and the chair game is in full effect with people saving chairs on the beach and the pool very early. Restaurants Portofino – This might have been our favorite this trip. I got the arancini, tomato soup, and lamb and all were great. My wife got the fillet which she loved. The steak at the restaurants seemed to be a higher quality than we were expecting. Himitsu (regular table) – This is normally our favorite restaurant at any Secrets and it was very good once again. We ordered a lot and most everything was very good. The coconut soup was some of the best that I have had anywhere. El Patio – They had a completely different menu this visit than last, but it was very good. They had el pastor tacos (not on the menu but they were making them out on the patio) that were great. I also really enjoyed the braises ribs. The churro for desert was the best churro that I have ever had and the best dessert I had the whole visit. Oceana – We normally do not go to Oceana at Secrets, but the menu looked pretty good and it was. The beef fillet was very good here. Seaside (lunch) – We normally don’t do a sit down lunch but our room wasn’t quite ready when we arrived so we went here for lunch. It was good, although I didn’t really like the tuna tataki tostada. I was hoping for raw tuna and it was way more seared than I like it. However, the zarandeados shrimp was amazing. It was basically like a bbq shrimp and was fantastic. Barefoot Grill / Casual Lunch Options – My wife doesn’t like to leave the beach / pool during the day so we normally order from our chair or get something from the pop-up options around the pool. We were disappointed the last visit that they only had pop-up options around the pool for a few days during our visit. They were available everyday this visit. They had a taco stand by the main pool every day. I would like them to switch it up a little and offer a little more variety, but the tacos and the salsas were amazing. I got these every day because they were so good. The margarita pizza from the barefoot grill was also very good. It was missing the pesto on top one day, and was much better with the pesto. They also had a delicious paella by the preferred club one day. My wife was very disappointed that the barefoot grill doesn’t serve quesadillas anymore. She ordered them from room service one day, and just went to room to get them and bring them back to the pool. Service Everyone that we encountered was great, but there were a few individuals that we wanted to recognize that made our stay exceptional. I would like to the start with Eduardo who was the concierge for building 3. He was our concierge during our last visit as well. He is our favorite concierge at any resort that we have visited. He is always available, even at times he is away from the resort, and he is so willing to help with any need or question. He did so many little things to make our visit special. Service like his is what makes this resort stand out. He is the best! Ivan at the preferred club was amazing. I mentioned the watermelon margaritas, but all of his drinks were great. Everyone loved him. They don’t always have fresh watermelon but once he saw how much we liked them, he made it a point to have watermelon available for us every day. Jeyson at the barefoot grill was a great server. One day at lunch, my margarita was getting low and he asked if I wanted another. I said no thank you, mainly because I only wanted drinks from Ivan at this point even though I didn’t say that. Even though I said no, he went to the preferred club about brought back a new watermelon margarita. I didn’t even tell him what we were drinking. Jonathan (Johnny) at El patio was a super friendly and helpful waiter. He was fast and had great suggestions. Caesar at the beach and at the barefoot grill was great. A lot of times beach waiters get overwhelmed and you don’t’ see them that often (first world problems for sure) but this was not the case with Caesar! Overall, we had a great visit. Secrets Akumal is probably still our favorite, but Playa Blanca got very close on this visit! I wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The E-team has endless energy Jesus and Saul and Mexican Beyoncé! Thank You for making the days fun and memorable. The yoga was inspiring and gorgeous beach view sunrise - WOW. Alexis and Charlie at Market square showed up when the brunch did not have tuna salad I was craving - they offered to make me my own portion and delivered it to my table. Above and beyond! I met Jose Melia the Executive Chef and had the privilege of thanking him for exquisite dining experiences. At the French restaurant Laureano served the roasted cauliflower with carrot puree and cashews was so innovative we went back twice. Special mention Angelica, Renato and Nestor at Markert square serving breakfast with friendliness daily. Ximena and Anna sat us each day with a smile and patience. At the pool and sand bar Mario, Henry pool server and Martini was so fantastic cleaning my sunglasses and setting umbrellas for perfect shade. Miguel and Vannesa at Coco make the best daily coffee drinks! Thanks to Jose waiter at Oceana too he laughed at my jokes about the plates not being round. Behind the scenes Virginia was our maid and she is on it- so profressional and detail oriented. We were pleased. And special mention to the landscape crew- Vanessa has the best smile and sparkling energy over by building 9. Overall the Mayan experience and fire show was particularly fantastic. The singers at the Caribbean night and the acrobats were captivating. All of the evening musical performances were enjoyable. We will return! Thank You!

Review of our 11 night stay - February 22-March 5, 2025 Room. We are UVC members, we booked preferred tropical view, they could only upfrade us to ocean view after 5 days. Due to our retirement/ 25th anniversary we decided to treat ourselves to ocean front master suite in building one 4th floor. Shout out to Duran and Gustavo, our butlers. They both went above and beyond for us. Pools: we opted to hang out at the main preferred pool which was our favorite. Peaceful and beautiful views later. Shout out to Celeste and Joel our BEST pool concierges EVER! So personal and will do anything for you! Our Favorite waiters were Carlos and Jeyson. Our Favorite preferred bartenders were Ivan and Cesar. We went over to the social pool at times when things were happening but were fine with the peace and quiet where we were. They have a swim up bar but we never went, a little packed when we went by. Food: we didn’t fall in love with anything in particular here so probably shouldn’t rate that. We are a little picky - not foodies. Some things at the buffet were good, fish tacos at seaside, pizza and wings best at pool (seaside). Filet at Italian restaurant was very good. Beach: the beach was ok to us but there were berms and can be very windy depending on day. Only a select number of chairs in front of the berms and they go quick. Had a lot of chairs behind them but not great views. (We were spoiled by Maroma and Akumal). We did a Bali bed one day. Things that stood out: most everyone that work around the pool and beach are such great hard workers, smile on their face, willing to take the time to talk to you, definitely made a difference in our visit. Our opinion: we feel this resort caters to the preferred guests VERY well and better than Maroma and akumal (although they do a very good job also) . We loved The layout of the large wide open preferred bar/lounge leading into the preferred pool its wonderful. Maroma and Akumal have a much smaller enclosed building. The location of seaside, barefoot and oceana restaurants were very convenient to preferred buildings 1 and 3.

This was our second stay at secrets playa Blanca. It’s our favourite secrets so far, as we’ve stayed at most of the Secrets. This year everything was open and it was so amazing to see the new areas beside the courtyard. The Desires bar beside the theatre is gorgeous, and a perfect place for watching sports. We enjoyed a Mexican fiesta one evening in the new courtyard complete with mariachi singers and Mexican dancers. The jungle pool is very beautiful and relaxing, complete with banana trees and flowering plants. The servers from the Sugar reef bar provide excellent service. We stayed in the preferred area and absolutely loved the quiet pool and the private lounge. This is the best service we have ever experienced. Upgrade to preferred if you enjoy peace and quiet. The social pool was great for pool games and volleyball. The swim up bar pool offered a beautiful ocean view. Every restaurant offered good meals but our favourite restaurants were the Seaside and the Oceana. Here, you can enjoy meals in an open air space with an ocean view and excellent servers. Rendezvous lobby bar was our favourite stop every evening. Here we watched amazing musicians and enjoyed meeting new friends. The paint night was fun. Every morning we enjoyed the beach, shell hunting and strolling the white, Soft sand. Some days the ocean was very calm and some days were very windy, but always beautiful. The servers and staff at this resort were extraordinary! We really appreciated our butlers, Duran and Gustavo! What amazing young men, who will meet your every need! They greeted us every morning and sent us a daily schedule. They organized a private catamaran day trip to Impressions secrets resort on isla mujeres, which was a must to visit! Other great servers were all the preferred pool and beach staff, Rueben the manager at Seaside, Jessica the server at rendezvous, Myra at the preferred pool, Daniel at the beach, and adam at the oceana. Deidel was the best entertainment staff we have ever met!!! Thankyou to these amazing individuals for excellent service! We will be back!

My wife and I have stayed at over a dozen all-inclusives in the Cancun/Riviera Maya area, Puerto Vallarta, and the Dominican Republic, and Secrets Playa Blanca was our favorite. Listing highlights somewhat in the order we experienced them: - Short trip from the airport (35-40 min) - Super-fast check-in (Preferred Club - 5 min) - Minimal pressure to attend the Hyatt Club “timeshare” presentation (only took 3-4 emphatic “no thanks”) - Friendly 10-minute hosted familiarization walk around property - Rooms (3415, 3412) ready well before 3pm, luggage delivered just a few minutes after room arrival. Beautiful view of the ocean and the pool from the room. Spacious, well-appointed, nicely stocked mini-bar/snacks. - Excellent experience throughout our stay with our butler Eduardo. Even though his scheduled hours were noon-8pm daily, he consistently responded within minutes regardless of the time we contacted him (although we didn’t abuse the after-hours times). He scheduled dinners, Bali beds, water-therapy spa treatment (on a moment’s notice), and our chef’s table dinner at the Mexican restaurant, among other things. He also decorated our room one evening with rose petals and a filled hot tub for our anniversary. - Eduardo checked in with us multiple times per day via What’sApp or when he saw us in person to make sure everything was going well. He was genuinely interested in our satisfaction. - We had other great experiences with Christian, Sandra, Celeste, Abraham, and the wonderfully delightful Ali at the Preferred Club bar. While we’ve had great service at other resorts, SPB service was over-the-top. The staff was incredibly friendly, would initiate and participate in conversation as if they knew you your whole life, offer great suggestions for both on-property and off-property activities (like which ferry and golf cart companies to use for a day trip to Isla Mujeres, which places to eat there, etc.). They even help you with your “Spanglish”. It was impressive how many would recognize us as well as remember our names. - We only intended to rent a Bali bed for one day but ended up doing 3 days as they were so delightful (2nd row from the beach, 2nd bed from the right in the PC area each day). - Food was outstanding, we ate at the seafood, French, Italian, Asian (table as well as hibachi), and Mexican (chef’s table experience - which was wonderful - 5 custom courses not available in the restaurant, plus a tequila tasting), as well as the buffet several times, poolside grill and pop-ups, room service, and beach service. Each experience was great. - Drinks were prepared just right, quality liquors and ingredients. Favorites were the carajillo, caipirinha, margarita, and a surprisingly well-made old fashioned (both the bourbon and rum versions). - The water journey spa treatment (included with preferred) was very relaxing, highly recommended. I could easily go on. My wife and I always say “this place was nice, but we’ll try a different place next time” - Secrets Playa Blanca is the first place we’d return to for a repeat stay. It’s that great. It just needs to stay within the affordable range, which we’ve seen be an issue at previous resorts we’ve liked, they seem to nearly double in price within a year. Maybe I shouldn’t leave such a good review ;-)

Our group only stayed here for a few days, but it was absolutely amazing! The resort was beautiful, there were so many food options, and the service was amazing. Our butlers, Martin and Miguel, even prepared a surprise for us! Truly an incredible experience!

This is the 4th Secrets we have been to. We booked online and paid in full 2 weeks ago. Upon check in they told us we still owed the full balance. I produced the confirmation email from them showing we are paid in full and also showed them my credit card statement showing the charge, yet they still wanted to put a hold on my credit card for the full amount again until they could “check with their accounting department”. We were then told we could come back to the check in area tomorrow morning at 10 am on my first day of vacation to see if they had resolved it. It’s a beautiful property, but so far we are extremely disappointed by the way this is being handled. Especially for the amount of money we spent. It feels as though each subsequent Secrets trip the service continues to get worse.

The food was excellent, room gorgeous, we loved our swim out room in building 6, it was a perfect location. We also loved the Art class, very fun ! I would recommend this resort highly!

The resort is beautiful and the people are awesome. We were met by Melanie from UVC when we were checking in and she took care of us the whole time we were there. We don’t like to do update meetings but we made an exception with her and she made it worth our while. She is very sweet and relatable. We stayed in a beautiful ocean front preferred junior suite in building 1 which has an awesome view of the beach and preferred area and great butlers, Duran and Gustavo. The butlers fulfilled all of our requests and surprised us with their exceptional customer service by watching our habits. We like to have a happy hour in our room and relax on the balcony, so I would go get ice about 4:00 and one time I was met by Gustavo and he had a full bucket of ice and said he was heading up to our room with it. On some other days we would go back up to our room and Gustavo and Duran had just delivered a fresh bucket of ice. Arely was our housekeeper and she made our day on day 1 by putting a vase of three roses on our nightstand and a design on our bed with different designs daily. We stayed 10 nights so we went to every restaurant. We liked the food and service at all of them and we opted to repeat Portofino, Seaside Grill and Himitsu because we liked their food the best. I want to do a shout out for the restaurant managers..Lizbeth at Seaside Grill, Ruben at Portofino and the Bordeux manager that we did not get his name. They take an interest in making a dining experience something special to remember. We opted for room service breakfast because my husband cannot walk far and it did not disappoint. It arrived quickly and hot and was very tasty. Sometimes we would have it delivered to the secret box so we could be outside enjoying the view. We would leave a tip and a short note and Juan Manuel was one of the waiters that delivered to the box and he left the best notes back to us. Tray pickup was always done by the requested time slot. Other resorts let it sit in the box a lot longer. We enjoyed going to the preferred lounge and snacking on some tasty bites while getting a delicious beverage delivered by Tanya. We had some great conversations with her. We stayed in a comfortable bali bed on the beach for four days. Jeyson gave us great service with a bucket of waters and checked on us regularly for our alcoholic beverages. The beach is absolutely beautiful with this awesome thick white sand. The only drawback is that there are no bathrooms close by.

Big shout out to Antonio and Raull, they made are whole stay amazing!! Highly suggest requesting them as your concierge. The hibachi grill, and el patio restaurant were our favorites. The spa experience and jungle pool are also a must!!!!!

Secrets Playa Blanca was an amazing place to celebrate our honeymoon from start to finish. We were there for 6 nights, which was perfect as we got to experience all of the night shows and daytime activities that this resort offers. We initially planned on golfing or doing an excursion, but the resort had so much to offer and was so nice, that we never even left the property! There were a few employees who made this experience even more remarkable: - Antonio (Head Butler): This man was simply awesome! We didn't necessarily use the butler service a ton, but whenever we reached out, he'd be there in person in less than 5 minutes. Bernardo was always around our building and insisted on helping us out any way he could. For instance, when he scheduled our massages, he suggested to set up the bathtub upon on return. We didn't expect him to set up the room in such a romantic setting the way he did, but it was just really kind of him and goes to show how awesome these 2 guys are. - The whole entertainment team at the social pool made time spent there even more enjoyable every day. Their enthusiasm and love for their work always made us smile. Rachel specifically was very kind to my wife and I, she spent the time to talk to us and said hello every day after! - Victor/Samuel at the preferred club beach bar made our first day, which was overcast, so enjoyable. He is incredibly personable and fun to talk to, plus he can make delicious cocktails. - Miguel and Jonathan at El Patio were both amazing waiters and made our 2 nights eating dinner there that much better. We did not have one meal we didn't love and didn't interact with one person who didn't treat us amazingly. Overall, we love Secrets Playa Blanca and will always be grateful that we got to spend our honeymoon there.

As Impressions members we have come to find that the UVC system is a lot more than just a membership to a nice resort. Our last trip to Secrets Play Blanca was a lot more than just a real nice resort. We came for some rest and recuperation after going through some difficult family challenges and the UVC management and Secrets staff were amazing. The UVC Members Service Executive, Julio Cesar, made sure we were well taken care of and went way beyond what we could have expected. His coordinated effort with other UVC executives like Karen Dominguez at Secrets Akumal to helped make our stay a very special one. A couple of true friends, indeed. Our butlers, Anna and Eddie made our trip so special, unique, and memorable. They took such special care of us and we’re constantly looking for ways to make our day a little bit brighter, a little bit more fun, a little more special. Anyone would be blessed to have them as part of their vacation. They really make a difference. And there are many other staff at the various restaurants (Sixto, Ruben,Jose, and Isaac at Seaside) or on the Preferred beach bar(Samuel) or by the pool (Daniel) and Christan at the hydrotherapy, again, just a great staff member who went above and beyond. The vegetation is lush , the water features and fire seating areas were beautiful. The beach is clear and clean. There are 4 pools and our favorite was the preferred( calm and beautiful with excellent service) Thank you to Elias and Pablo. There was an activity pool, a jungle quiet pool and an infinity pool in addition. Check in was the fastest we've ever experienced. We were in the room after arrival within 10 minutes. Thanks to Benjamin and Alejandra in preferred check in. I want to thank our UVC rep , Malena. Thank you so much! Our room faced the ocean and was so beautiful and the bed was so comfortable that we haven't slept well since returning home. Thank you to Ana and Eddy, our butlers, they really took care of everything for us. The food was excellent at every restaurant but The manager at El Patio, Daniel made sure that we had a really special meal thanks to our waiter Jonathan and the chef Carlos. The hydrotherapy area was spectacular and Luis made sure the experience was superb. The massage therapists Estela and Pamela were amazing! One of the biggest things that made an impact on me was that despite the resort being at 90%+/- capacity, we never felt that it was crowded. There were so many beautiful places to sit and relax and the service was impeccable. We cannot wait to return!

Our experience at Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres was truly unforgettable. The service throughout the entire resort was absolutely unbelievable — every staff member went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. A special thank you to our butler, Carlos, who was simply incredible. He was extremely accommodating, attentive to every detail, and always one step ahead of our needs. Whether it was making last-minute dinner reservations, setting up special surprises, or simply checking in to make sure we were happy, Carlos made us feel genuinely cared for. The resort itself is beautiful, the food was fantastic, and the overall atmosphere was pure relaxation. But it was the exceptional service — especially from Carlos — that truly made this trip one of the best we’ve ever had. We loved this resort! The beach was sandy and had no seagrass! There were large pools but our favorite was the infinity overlooking the beach. This resort staff had provided excellent service all round and we were very impressed overall. Honestly some of the best service in our over 18 years traveling with UVC and mainly Secrets Resorts. Our Butler team of Gustavo, Doran and one other (sorry we didn’t note his name) were absolutely fantastic! They went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. They even surprised us with plain M&Ms in our upgraded Ocean Front King Suite. I’m allergic to nuts and I am very grateful for their thoughtfulness and kindness. Thank you!!! We appreciated our anniversary wine and strawberries as well! Oceana had our favorite server Deana who was super friendly and made such an impression on us we made sure to request her when we had dinner there. She was very attentive and made sure our drinks were full with our dinner. Her recommendations were on point as well. The pool server Henry was also someone that provided great service by making sure our drinks”Stanley’s”were kept full throughout our pool time. We are appreciative! The masseuse Laura and Alana both provided exceptional massages! I especially appreciated the recommendation from Laura for the cool milk as it really helped my sunburn and I’m already out of it…I really like the product and will be purchasing it again. Thank you. Our UVC rep Malena was very friendly and took the time to help us with a World of Hyatt issue. We allowed a short meeting which turned into a couple hour upgrade meeting but it happened to be an ugly day so we weren’t to upset. We did not upgrade this visit as we just upgraded the year before but Malena was great. Thanks for your help. Honorable mention to the beach server, I don’t have his name but he made me a signature cucumber mint non alcoholic drink for hydration that was very good! It was our first day there and while waiting for our room we waited at the beach bar he was such a nice guy I wanted to make sure to mention him because he was one of the first impressions of the wonderful service we would have throughout our stay. We did experience one person at the Marketplace that was not a good interaction on multiple visits for breakfast and lunch. Ana who seated us was not very friendly and didn’t seem to smile or be very welcoming each time. She was the exception to the amazing service we had experienced at this resort. Another small inconvenience was the restrooms. There were many only single use restrooms around the resort. Limiting availability and making for waits or searching for multiple use restrooms. Most resorts we’ve visited have 2 or 3 stalls per restroom so just don't wait to use the restroom last minute or you might have to just go back to your room. This was by no means a dealbreaker for this amazing resort that we will definitely plan on revisiting!! We’d still rate our visit a 10. Thanks to all the amazing staff that made our stay one to remember and to be excited about coming back!

We got married at this beautiful property on April 4th and we still haven’t come down from cloud 9… The resort upgraded our room to the Preferred Club Master Suite Ocean Front which was the best surprise. Our trip wouldn't have been the same without our amazing butlers, Eddy and Eduardo. They went above and beyond to make sure our special trip was one we'd never forget. Their communication was perfect and they even brought my husband's favorite beer on resort so he could enjoy it with his groomsmen on our wedding day. The hospitality across the resort was phenomenal. We will definitely be back! I'm also going to review our wedding experience below for anyone interested in having a wedding on this property. Package: Beyond Memorable - total of 54 guests Ceremony: We had originally planned for the Beach Gazebo, but the wind was too intense, so we ended up moving our ceremony to the side area of the Contoy Plaza. Cocktail hour: Contoy Plaza (mangrove side) Reception: Contoy Plaza On site wedding coordinator: Fernanda was our assigned wedding coordinator from the resort. Since we had hired external wedding planners, we had minimal contact with Fernanda prior to arriving at the resort, but she greeted us while we were checking in and made us feel so comfortable. She worked closely with our planners to make sure all of our visions were executed and she was fabulous! Wedding Planner: We had the wedding of our dreams, and I know it wouldn’t have been possible without our AMAZING wedding planner, Claudia Rivero M and her assistant Mariela. I ended up reaching out to them about 5 months out from the wedding due to lack of response I was receiving from the resort. I also wasn’t super thrilled about the prospect of not hearing anything/getting a list of all of the décor options from the resort until a month in advance. I know that this is simply due to the volume of weddings they have and is not a poor reflection of the resort, it was just my preference to have things planned in advance. Working with Claudia and Mariela took away ALL of the stress and allowed me to enjoy the process. They are truly masters of their craft and make a phenomenal team. I was amazed at their ability to plan, organize, and execute the absolute wedding of our dreams. They handled ALL of the communication between our vendors and the resort, which took away all of the stress for me, my husband, and my parents. Photography/Videography: We hired the AmorAmor Photography team for our day and we have nothing but amazing things to say. Samantha and her husband Facundo are extremely talented and professional. They brought two additional photographers, so there was a team of 4 total between the photography and videography, plus drone footage. They worked with us in advance to ensure they understood our vibe and wow, they did not disappoint! We are still waiting for our photos/video to come back, but the sneak peek photos are stunning and we are so excited to get everything back. Their package included 8 hours of photo/video + drone. I did a first look with my husband and my dad, and the team split up to capture getting ready pictures of both me and my bridesmaids and my husband and his groomsmen. The group family photos took place after our ceremony, prior to the cocktail hour. During cocktail hour, my husband and I got additional pictures on the beach. They stayed to capture the reception until around 9:45 pm. Hair/Makeup: I hired Sara Tamargo’s team and we couldn’t have been happier with the results. I had 3 bridesmaids, and my mom, MIL, and aunt get hair and makeup done. Everyone was in love with their looks. We all asked for an elevated natural glam look - Sara Tamargo’s team listened to what we wanted and they executed perfectly. My husband and I got our room upgraded to a king suite, so we were able to have everyone get ready in our room. It worked out perfectly! DJ: We ended up getting Erick for the DJ and Veronica for the MC – both from Encore DJs and they were great!! We hired a live sax player to play along with the DJ and they really played beautifully together. It was seamless and SO much fun. We added an additional hour, and it was so worth it. Sax Player: We hired Ariel Rossi all thanks to Claudia, who is the only reason this was possible! She worked with the hotel and was finally able to get them to agree to hire Ariel Rossi to play along with the DJ. He is amazing and created the perfect party vibe. The dance floor was literally full all night and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how great he was. 10/10 recommend. Rehearsal/Welcome Dinner: We had our welcome dinner at the Jungle Pool and had 50 guests. This was our “Mexican Fiesta” theme night – we hired the mariachi trio and everyone raved about it. For food, we went with the Mexican buffet. Truthfully I was hesitant about a buffet, because I’m usually not a fan, but wow was this food great! People loved it and it was a nice way to keep this night casual. Food: We upgraded the menu in order to offer Surf & Turf as an option. The food was phenomenal and served HOT. I was super impressed. Food was very important to us and we were very happy with the food that was served and the servers were super attentive and helpful.

My fiance & I enjoyed our stay very much. The whole property is beautiful and new, focusing on sustainable natural materials. We love the lush gardens everywhere. The food is definitely the best out of all the all-inclusives l've been to and my usual expectations for all-in food is quite low. Seaside grill, Oceana, & Himitsu were our faves. There are a lot of daytime activities and night time entertainment from crafting to shows. I can tell the entertainment dept really put in a lot of effort. It's not world-class or crazy party central so if that's what you're looking for, this is not the resort for that. The pool & beach were very well maintained. I went to catch the sunrise a couple of times and would always see staff clearing out the seaweed at the beach each morning. The water is clear and the sand is very soft. Service was top-notch. The whole staff anticipated all of our needs. There was some confusion regarding reserving the cabana/bali beds in the jungle pool & social pool which resulted in getting a double charge but it eventually got sorted out during check-out. We'd like to give a shout-out to Julieta the concierge, Eduardo, our bellhop, Carlos our cabana attendant, Anthony the poolside attendant, & especially the MVP- Joel the cabana & poolside Supervisor. He went above & beyond. We were well taken care of and he even took the time to leave us a special parting gift, sand art with a personalized message. He was very attentive to detail and so personable & that gesture marked a great ending to our stay.

Our stay here at secrets was amazing and relaxing exactly what we needed. The resort is stunning and breathtaking. Once we checked in and got to our beautiful room with a stunning view of the ocean. We had the best butlers Rafa and Martin. They truly made sure we were taken care of everyday. Especially because I have food allergies. Rafa set up a meeting with the head chef and after that my food experience was totally amazing. The food here is so good. As soon with allergies there are many options to eat. I was so surprised. Our butlers did so many little surprises to make our stay extra special. Will always remember this trip. Our favourite dinner definitely was hard to choose. The preferred club was a nice place to go and cool down everyday. My favourite place was coco cafe to have my iced latte! I am taking the time to write this review so people are aware of a few missed opportunities. 1- The activity pool, the music doesn't need to be so loud. We felt like we were at a nightclub. My husband and I some days we left because we couldn't have a conversation. When we would tell the pool concierge to put it down they would but unfortunately the entertaining Team would blast it again. Also, one of the ladies fm the entertainment Team doesn't need to scream constantly. Management needs to seriously rethink closing certain sections of the resort for private events. We paid just like they did, and you need to find certain areas like a conference room to host the guests. You have the space to create these without restricting access to the pools. I have never seen that before, and this was my 30th trip. The resort is clean and the food is excellent. During my week stay most the guests were over 50. Very loud music when u go to relax is not a good combination. If I wanted that type of atmosphere, I would go on the strip.

At the pool, Angel was an absolute gem—setting up umbrellas, keeping us stocked with fresh towels, and even cleaning our sunglasses! We were surprised to see the differences in December as more things were done to the resort that enhanced the experience. The resort itself is big in size compared to others, which we liked. The restaurants are scattered around the resort as well instead of all them being located in one area, which we enjoyed as it kept the dinner crowds down. The staff were AMAZING! If you're debating on coming to this resort, debate no more! The staff alone will make your stay truly perfect. Our butler/concierge, Daniel, was incredible!! He always stayed in touch with us throughout our stay and made sure we had everything we needed. He would go out of his way to ensure we had the best stay and had everything we needed! Very responsive to any request we made and always followed up with us afterwards. Jose at Seaside Grill is a perfect addition to this resort. Jose was always attentive and catered to our dietary needs. Jose always went above and beyond! He made this trip one that we will never forget, a true gem! Our servers by the pool, Jeyson, Anthony, and Los Angeles, always made sure that we had a fresh drink and anything we needed by the pool.
