We liked the Rosewood Baha Mar. Compared to the general larger Baha Mar resort, the Rosewood was a tranquil, well landscaped corner with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the beach or the pools. The beach was beautiful, nice soft sand, gentle surf, gorgeous water. Our room was a studio suite, 6th floor east wing, which was lovely, plenty of room to spread out, great shower, added bonus of a full washer/dryer and nice views out to the ocean. We very much enjoyed seeing the parade of cruise ships head out every evening along the horizon. Front desk staff, bar staff at Manor and the Library, cleaning staff and pool staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. Boulud restaurant and Costa were both great, we had one dinner and one breakfast at Boulud, we had three lunches and one dinner at Costa (right off pool, in my opinion vastly superior to Tingum on Beach) and both were excellent restaurants. As for other restaurants on greater property, they were hit or miss. Food and service at Shuang Ba and Marcus Chop House were excellent, really top notch and the outdoor dining at the Chop House was really atmospheric and lovely. Cleo was not good, food was a totally mixed bag though I can recommend the pita like bread (delicious) and mushroom flat bread (crispy and flavorful), check in and service were shambolic and poor. Katsuya was meh, some food was good, some so-so. We are spoiled with excellent sushi at home so most places we rate against our local and Katsuya was nowhere near as good, the design was odd (felt like I was in the middle of a Shisheido makeup counter), our server was very nice and prompt but the check in again was poor and shambolic. Overall we thought we may return probably for a 4 night stay instead of a full week. Nassau is a quick trip from East Coast, the airport was very well organized and quick to transit. We generally prefer low rise beach resorts (think FS Hualalai, Ritz Dorado or Rosewood Mayakoba) to having elevator high rises. We knew that going in and were prepared, the access to towers from pool area was easy, the elevators were super fast, really it was about as seamless a tower experience as you can have, but end of day we came away thinking we still prefer avoiding hotel hallways for our barefoot/bathing suit vacations.

I stayed at the Rosewood Baha Mar for one night earlier this year. The overall experience was exceptional. The service was thoughtful and they made us feel like royalty. I have also stayed at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, which is a great hotel but a totally different experience. I was there during the week of New Year's and the Bahamas overall was extremely busy. The Rosewood however feels very secluded and sanctuary like, in comparison to the Grand Hyatt and some of the other hotels in the Bahamas. Even when it is super busy, the staff retain the ability to cater to each guest. My room had three butlers, and all three provided exquisite service, were able to do anything I needed. I enjoyed my stay thoroughly, and when I do return to the Bahamas, I will return to the Rosewood. By far the best hotel I've stayed at in the Bahamas.

Although connected to the casino and several other hotels, the Rosewood feels separated off in a good way. The pool area is beautiful and didn't feel too busy thanks to the pool being accessed to only Rosewood guests. We would definitely stay here again.

We had an exceptional stay at Rosewood Baha Mar! From our arrival to departure, the team showed outstanding hospitality, going above and beyond to ensure our every need was met. Our room was extremely comfortable, and the amazing views only added to the experience. Thoughtful touches, like finding sweet treats in our room for example, truly elevated our stay. Stephen Clarke and Sattar were remarkable hosts, as was Amanda, who you must seek out by the pool as she was fantastic. By the time we left, the staff felt like family. We cannot wait to return!

Perfect vacation with a caveat

This is an offseason review where we had perfect weather. We loved the property, the beach, water park, pools, restaurant and bars. The only minor annoyance we had was realizing we had to pay for mini golf which was fun but seemed gratuitous. The staff was fantastic across the board. The food and drink prices are expensive as advertised, plus there’s the 15% service charge and 10% VAT so know what you’re getting into and make a plan. They have a Starbucks for breakfast with decent prices which id recommend bang for buck, and plenty of options for other meals. We loved it and the Rosewood is definitely the way to go if you have the budget because the private beach, upgraded beach chairs and service. Lastly the guys at the Manor bar were fantastic. All around a 10/10 for us. But with that said, I would not want to go during busy season, because I can see crowds and some cloudy weather affecting people stretching their budget.

Where to start? Greeted as we pulled into the hotel as if they were expecting us. Always addressed by name anytime we spoke with concierge or front desk. Always helpful and polite. Loved the matching scarves they wore - so much so that I ordered some similar upon my return home. Room was clean and they paid attention to detail - housekeeping saw we were reading books so they left bookmarks! Saw I had reading glasses so they left a lens cleaning cloth. A little disappointed that turndown did not happen nightly - I wanted the chocolates :) yes food was expensive but that was to be expected. The few times we visited the pools we were the only guests at the pool which was nice - very relaxing. All attendants at the pool were courteous and helpful. We visited for a relaxing honeymoon and were not disappointed. The serene environment at Rosewood was exactly what we wanted! We walked the grounds of the other hotels at Rosewood and it was amazing how active and busy the other two hotels were - we made our way back to Rosewood quickly because it was as if we were miles away from the crowds. My husband played golf and said he was the only one on the course. After his round of golf they gave him an amazing cocktail that he loved. The bartender at Pizza Lab tried to replicate it for us and it was pretty close. The only negative I can say is we felt so spoiled that I’m worried future visits to other resorts/hotels will leave us disappointed because Rosewood set the bar high!
