We arrived early and Sam was the first employee we met and he was beyond welcoming and helpful. He took our luggage and gave us a golf car tour of the property as well as continuing to check in with us while waiting for our room. He has such a fantastic way to make you feel welcome and relaxed immediately.
All of the hotel staff was amazing - always smiling and asking if we needed anything. The grounds were gorgeous and immaculate and we loved sitting on our balcony enjoying the fantastic views. The shuttle driver, Jeffrey, was great - full of information about the area and always willing to answer questions. The shuttles were always on time - both way, which was great as driving and parking in Old Town can be quite a challenge.
This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at and cannot wait until we return. Sam was the last person we saw during our checkout and once again, he was so helpful and kind. He is truly an asset to the resort and will make you feel immediately welcome upon arrival - and missed once you leave.
Amazing resort and staff and we cannot wait to return!!

Oceans Edge Resort in Key West is truly a hidden gem! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning waterfront views, pristine pools, and overall atmosphere of relaxation and luxury. The resort is beautifully maintained, with lush tropical landscaping that makes you feel like you’ve escaped to your own private paradise.
One of the biggest highlights of our stay was the incredible staff. Jose, our waiter, went above and beyond to make our dining experience unforgettable—his attentiveness, kindness, and genuine hospitality made every meal special. Hether at activities was equally fantastic, ensuring that we had everything we needed for an unforgettable time on the water. Every single team member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and dedicated to making our stay perfect.
The facilities at Oceans Edge are top-notch, from the multiple sparkling pools to the well-appointed rooms with breathtaking marina views. We loved the unique local flavor of the resort—Key West’s famous free-roaming chickens and iguanas added a fun and authentic touch to the experience. And the food? Absolutely outstanding! We were honestly surprised at how much better the dining was compared to many other restaurants in the Keys. Fresh ingredients, expertly prepared dishes, and an ambiance that made every meal feel special.

Super happy with our choice to stay here. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the staff were super friendly and helpful, the pool and facilities were fantastic, and the extras available as part of the resort fee are really a great part of staying here. The shuttle running downtown every hour is great for planning Duval street activities while ensuring rides to and returning back to the resort. We also took part in mulitple activities offerred by the hotel at extra cost, Andrew was great for the Kayaking tour and Anela did a wonderful job with the intro to paddle board course we took; both were very personable, friendly, knowledgable, and genuine. Overall, this resort was good value for the money and the staff made it even more memorable, especially folks like Anela and Andrew will see us returning in the future.

We recently enjoyed four nights at Oceans Edge Resort. The property is quite elegant. Our suite was spacious, and beautifully appointed. It was as nice a suite as we ever enjoyed during our decades of upscale travel. The views of the harbor and the six pools were memorable. The shuttle to downtown was terrific. While the physical facility was exceptional, we were disappointed in lack of a resort vibe around the pools, bar and the restaurant.

Beautiful and clean room with a seaside feel… friendly and welcoming staff… Alex was the best at the Yellowfin Bar and Restaurant! Not much of a beach to see but the pools are warm … there is kayaking … bicycling…golf carts…and a shuttle that takes you to downtown Key West and picks you up! Plenty of restaurants and shopping and the city is laid back with a vintage and quaint vibe…people are friendly! Enjoyed the live music at the resort as well and cannot wait to come back! Negatives are only the resort fees and food is pricy!

Once you get to the property, the initial impression is positive. Lovely views from the balcony. Very nicely landscaped. Rooms nicely appointed, although I think something other than a wine frig (currently there) would be a good addition. I would suggest not requesting building three, as the view will be of a developed marine area across the water, in another part of Stock Island. Also, don't be surprised when you can chat with the folks next door on your balcony. There is no privacy in the form of a divider. It's my understanding dividers will be shortly installed.
If the Key West party scene is your goal, be aware you're about 15 minutes from all that action by car. It is accessible via the Hotel shuttle, however.
The surrounding area is pretty residential, some don't like that. It was fine for us, nice having Croissants de France and other food outlets close by.
We were a test case for a new room configuration, which they are considering. We like the old configuration, having the entry door directly in to the bedroom is not our preference.

Great room. An excellent paddle board lesson from Andrew. Attentive advice from Collette. Very good restaurant service
Excellent Yellowfin restaurant service from Alex. Good bar attendants. Lovely steaks, key lime pie chocolate mousse cake. One to one free paddle board lesson from Andrew who was very patient with this unfit 62 yo. Have already started thinking about a return visit

The rooms and the entry to rooms have nasty smell. They heavily scent it but boy the smell was enough to linger in my cpap machine’s pipe even after leaving the place. Imagine paying well over three hundred dollars per night and to have to inhale whatever nasty was going on in there. Should have read reviews about foul smell prior to booking. Partial or full ocean view - do not get scammed by it. The buildings overlook marina and really not much to see except the boats and maybe a portion of the ocean in the distance. We left the place early and arrived after ten in the night. No way were we going to spend time in the room. Since there was no refund for changing or canceling booking we were stuck with it for multiple nights. Definitely not going to re-book. The lingering stench of the room in my clothes and cpap was it for me. I checked multiple rooms and they all had the smell. Some light and some pretty strong.

This was our third stay here and it was almost perfect. They fixed almost everything from our last stay. The only negative of our whole trip was that our room smelled like mildew. Now that the one negative is out of the way let me hit all the positives! Bed was super comfy, landscaping…GORGEOUS!!! It’s what I imagine Heaven looks like!, food, beverages, coffee- excellent, convenient shuttle to downtown-Bob is a great tour guide, perfect beach music playing throughout the resort at the perfect volume, super comfy beach beds at no extra cost, 6 glorious salt water pools always at the perfect temperature, never crowded, plenty of chairs and no need to save any. In short- it is incredible and we can’t wait to come back! The people at the resort that we cannot wait to see again on our next trip…Kayla that works at the restaurant and pool service is so sweet and friendly! Not to mention she does an incredible job bringing food and drinks to your chairs in the heat and never loses her smile. She is a huge asset to the resort. Sam is our other favorite. He helps with luggage and whatever you need. Sam makes you feel seen and special. Not just as a guest but as a human being. He needs to be working in guest relations because he really cares about the guests and making their stay as memorable as possible. 5 stars for these two employees that made our trip extra special! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Don’t hesitate to book here. We travel a lot and it’s our favorite place ever!!!
