'Oh to' be back there at the 02 Beach Club and Spa!! We stayed at the O2 Beach Club and Spa at the end of January. Our choice of this hotel was based on location and previous reviews of service quality and was a late switch from another property, where recent reports referred to dirty rooms and bed linen and dreadful service by staff. The only rooms available were mini-suites and we were assigned one in the old block, the original building. The room was very spacious, with separate bedroom and a big lounge/kitchen area, with an impressively large balcony, which had two lounge chairs and a dining table and chairs. The room and balcony (often overlooked for cleaning at other hotels) was kept clean and a service call for extra towels dealt with promptly. There is also an evening turndown service. Since the hotel became all-inclusive, the kitchen facility – immaculate, as were all the utensils, which were extensive, – has become redundant. We spoke to guests, who have stayed at the O2 for many years, who said previously they went food shopping locally and prepared their own meals. We did not find instructions in the room for the telephone numbers for, for example, room service, and it was a guess that Reception was ‘0’. Equally, we did not find any instructions for the air conditioning and ceiling fans, which proved a little frustrating because the fans were not immediately responsive and therefore in turning on or off, it resulted in making a second control change before the fan had reacted to the first change. The hotel grounds were well kept and the overall impression was of a sufficiency of staff to run the hotel properly and all the staff were helpful and friendly, a refreshing change from reports at other Barbados hotels. The grounds open onto the beach. There are several swimming pools, the largest sited between the old and new buildings, with surrounding loungers. Unfortunately, this location becomes a wind tunnel and was little used by guests during our stay, including that pool. It was unfortunate that when we arrived in the evening after dark, and at the end of a heavy shower, we were escorted from the Reception which is in the new block and our room, and reference was made to places we passed en route. In the dark, this made little sense and meant we went exploring the next morning. The hotel is accessible, with ramps to avoid stairs. Unfortunately, one night, I missed a four-metre wide drop down to a lower level and fell. The step is only properly lit on the lower level and needs improvement on the upper level. In the old block, access to adjacent rooms is off a short corridor, which is lit at night but not during the day, when it is dark at the room door end. Fortunately, room keys are electronic chips integrated in a rubber waterproof bracelet, a practical arrangement. We took breakfast and dinner in the self-service restaurant, which provided waiter service on one evening. The breakfast offering was excellent in its range of choices and dinner also enjoyable. A light lunch at the poolside grill was very good. Apart from rum, spirits were imports and, although there was a bottle of gin in our room, we stuck to rum-based cocktails. The red dinner wine was average but we were in the Caribbean! We would however stay here again.

My husband and I had a great 10 days at the O2 in Feb, part of our 30th wedding anniversary celebrations. Having visited a couple of years ago, we didn’t think it could possibly live up to our happy memories of the place – but we weren’t disappointed – and everyone went out of their way to make our holiday another very special celebration for us. STAFF – Firstly, we really must mention the wonderful staff. Goodness knows how the hotel manages to pick such professional, helpful, smiley people but they do! A big shout out to those we came into contact with most – Christopher (General Manager) Rico (Manager), Sean (Front Desk) Shantelle, Devashni, Ingrid, Omarion (Elements), Yanique (Elements Bar) Ashan, Yanique (Pool & Beach) Naadira, Yvonne, Robin (Oro) Jakobi (Lounge Bar). FOOD – In summary, there was a really good selection of restaurants and food, all of which we found really good quality. The serving staff were all very friendly and efficient. The main restaurant, Elements, was outdoors and open every day. It served a broad choice in the breakfast buffet with a ready-to-cook-chef egg station. At lunch time Elements had a good buffet selection. In the evening, there was a different a la carte menu every night with changing themes. The indoor evening-only a la carte restaurant, Oro, has an island-wide reputation and was well worth the visit – on the top floor overlooking the sea, with a broad range of dishes and musical entertainment several evenings. The other two restaurants were outdoors. The Blue Fin Grill opened every day and offered an a la carte lunch menu, a grill and pizzas late afternoon to early evening and a buffet evening menu, with a different theme every day. Brisa, on a roof top terrace with lovely views of the sea and sunset, was open early evening for tapas and drinks or just a drink if you preferred. All evening meals needed to be booked so it’s worth making your restaurant bookings as soon as possible after arriving to avoid disappointment, particularly at Oro which tends to get booked up quickly. ROOMS – Our room was spacious, well equipped, spotless and the bed was super comfy. There were good supplies of tea and coffee and lots of toiletries. We had a 1 bed ocean front concierge suite which was in the original (sunset) building and extremely spacious - a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and comfy lounge area. There was a large tv in the lounge and another in the bedroom. There was air conditioning throughout with 2 separate controls for the front and back rooms. The balcony had 2 loungers, a table and 4 chairs. HOTEL FACILITIES – The whole hotel was spotless. There were 3 well-staffed bars daytime and evening with no queueing necessary and the serving staff were very attentive. All the swimming pools (1 adult only and 2 family) were small but regularly cleaned. There were plenty of sun beds and umbrellas around the hotel and on the beach. It was peaceful in all sun bed areas as there wasn’t any piped music which was great. DAILY ACTIVITIES – There were lots of activities during the day from aqua aerobics to beach volleyball, paddle boarding and learning to hula hoop, but they were kept relatively quiet so as not to disturb other guests. The gym was well equipped, clean and tidy. EVENING ENTERTAINMENT – There was live music some evenings in Oro and every evening by the Elements restaurant from 1930-2200 with a ½ hour break 20:30-21:00. Performers ranged from individual singers to a saxophonist to a 3-piece band with a broad mix of music during the evening. We love dancing so had a dance each night. The first couple of nights we were the only ones up! – but as time went on, others joined us so that by the end of our stay, there were 20-30 people on the dance floor most evenings. BEACH & SEA - The beach itself was beautiful golden sand and kept very clean by the staff. There were lots of sun beds and umbrellas available with the bar staff bringing drinks to your bed all day, every day. There were some strong waves which could make it challenging getting in and out of the sea. Having said that, every day the waves would subside as the tide changed from low to high and vice versa. So, if you “played the tides”, you could find a time most days to have a swim in calmer water. Of course this isn’t an O2 only issue. The locals will tell you that the sea has become a lot rougher right around Barbados in the last 10-15 years. They put this down to global warming which has meant the coastline has been badly eroded and a lot of sand washed away which has changed what used to be much calmer seas. Regardless of this, we’d highly recommend the O2 Beach Resort & Spa and we’ll be back to enjoy its delights again as soon as we can.

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by our O2 ambassador, we felt really important and cared for. Having stayed here before, we passed up the resort tour and were quickly led to our sunny oceanfront king room where welcome treats were waiting. We pre-booked dinner at their gourmet restaurant, Oro, as it was just opening during our last stay and we never had the chance to eat there. Dinner was well worth it. We returned after our cruise and stayed until departure time basking in the sun on the beach. Hoping to stay longer next year as we really loved all our stays here. No idea where some of the poor reviews come from.

It’s very difficult to know where to start with how amazing this hotel was! From the second we walked through the door John was there to welcome us and what a welcome it was! John made it clear whilst we were staying with them we were family and every single second we were there that’s exactly what it felt like. Without doubt the most incredible and perfect holiday. Our suite was beautiful and the view was stunning….impossible to beat. A special mention to the following people, Dwayne who found my flip flops, Robin who was an absolute delight, Nicolette who went the extra mile, Shackille who always delivered the drinks with a smile, Yvonne and Carolyn in Blue Fin who were just wonderful, Kelsey manning the bar, Damisha and Yanike say no more other than you guys make this hotel the absolute gem that it is and it’s very much appreciated so thank you for making our holiday perfect!

Tried to exchange with Interval International and while there was availability for the week we were looking for, the MANDATORY all-inclusive fees are outrageous. It was going to be $4500+ for a week for just my husband and I. Unless I'm having Kobe Beef and Lobster for every meal and drinking a gallon of top shelf alcohol per day, that's exorbitantly costly. I just wanted to share the info for anyone who may be researching ahead of time. While this resort certainly is beautiful and has great reviews, if I had known the cost, I wouldn't have considered it.

Our hotel room was a beachfront luxury suite but when we arrived it smelled quite foisty and it had another guest's name on the TV. We arrived at the hotel at about 10.30 am as we had been on a cruise and we were informed that we could either leave our bags and walk around St Lawrence Gap until check-in time at 4pm or we could pay 300 Barbadian dollars to access the resort's facilities. I can understand why the hotel might charge for early access given it is an all inclusive resort (this was not to have the room early, this was just to be able to enter the resort) but they should at least inform customers beforehand so they can make comparisons on the cost with other hotels. We already paid a $1,000 a night for our room. We have stayed at hundreds of 5 star hotels and we have never been asked to pay to sit on a sun lounger until our room is ready. We found the service in the hotel very hit and miss and the food offering not as good as you would expect of a 5 star hotel. The problem wasn't that they didn't have enough staff but that they appeared not to have had training on what good service looks like. Some specific examples: - We went to the Bluefin cafe for lunch and we were told that we would have to wait 1-1.5 hours for our food because they had more than half a dozen tables already - it would be longer if we wanted something from the grill. It didn't look that busy to us; - we then went to the Elements buffet which had a very small selection of food on offer so we went to the "pasta station" - I asked the staff what they had available and the reply was "pasta with pasta sauce". The food quality wasn't great; - we were not informed when our room was ready and we had to keep chasing until after 4pm to get into our room. After all the time waiting our bags still weren't in the room so we ended up having to go and get them ourselves; - the young lady that showed us round the resort when we arrived chewed gum the whole time. Other negatives - the Wifi wasn't great especially round the pool area; - while the photos of the hotel show lovely new fuschia pink sunbeds - many of the sunbeds are old and stained (see photo); - there were pigeons and doves all over the resort with the resultant bird droppings; - In the Oro restaurant the main course was quite good but the starter was awful (see photo) and we got no bread or anything to keep us going while we were waiting. To be fair I had said I didn't want any cheese on my salad but I've never been served anything as bad as the salad that arrived. We had booked for 7.30pm but as we were waiting to sit down, waiting to order and waiting for our food it was after 9.30pm before we had anything to eat - really poor service. I was initially going to give the hotel a 1 star review but I would never leave such a bad review without informing the hotel first and to be fair to the manager he listened to my comments and told us after we had packed our bags and checked out of the room that we could have our room longer at no charge. He also waived the fee for early entry to the resort. I would like to end on some positives - the hotel is located on a beautiful beach with fantastic views at sunset. The cocktails were amazing. This could be a great hotel if the service was improved. I would not stay here again and I wouldn't recommend it. There are lots of other better value real luxury hotels in Barbados.

My husband and I stayed at O2 Beach Club for 5 nights, 6 days in mid January. Rooms: We had a first floor ocean front swim up room. The views were nice but not much privacy keeping the drapes open as there are lounge chairs situated right in front which seemed to be the prized chairs as most were taken by 8am. We did not use the swim up pool at all as we enjoyed the beach every day. Our room was clean, fridge was fully stocked with waters, sodas and liquor and restocked each day. There is also s mini keurig coffee machine as well. Daily room service provided. Bathroom was luxurious with a soaking tub and rainfall shower. We did have an issues with no hot water for our first shower there but we called and issue was fixed right away. Weather: We had mostly sunny days and it was warm. Don't trust the weather apps. It said rain daily on those apps but we had mostly sun. There were super high winds that week all day long like 30mph gusts. This lasted the whole week. A few pop up showers which cleared after 10-15 minutes. Drinks: Cocktail menu was very appealing but most drinks tasted watered down. Your safe if you choose champagne or wine to drink. Food: We reserved Oro 2 weeks in advance at the suggestion of others and dined there two nights. The food there was excellent however the service was quite long and not too attentive. The buffet restaurant was just ok. There is a tapas restaurant with very small portions but we chose right and ordered pretty much 2 of each! This restaurant however closes super early 8:30pm. Entertainment: Usually just 1-2 musicians for light ambient background music. This is not a party place. Very low key chill vibe. No problems finding beach chairs with umbrellas but like others mentioned cushions are worn down and yes some had mold. Pretty much zero beach side service. We had to walk up to the bar each time for drinks. Also no beach/pool side food available to just each lunch outside. Spa: Chose a 1 hour massage and 1 hour facial. Prices were very reasonable and I enjoyed the spa very much. Overall we had a good stay but for the price expected much better service and food could be better for the buffet.

O2 Resort Review - 14 Nights (December 2024) Booking with TUI When booking through TUI, be aware that guests are only entitled to dine at Oro restaurant for two nights per week, subject to availability. This is apparently mentioned in the terms and conditions, though I couldn’t find this information upon reviewing the details. Additionally, the hotel is a non-smoking property, which is not adequately highlighted prior to booking. If you encounter any issues, do not expect much help from the TUI representative; they do not liaise with the hotel. Beach The beach is somewhat uncomfortable due to a combination of stones, coral, and shells, making it hard on the feet. The sea is also quite rough, with strong waves, which may not be ideal for families with children or those seeking a gentle swim. Compared to other resorts we’ve visited on the west coast, this beach falls short for casual swimmers. Pool The pools are satisfactory, with the adult pool being colder but refreshing in the 30°C heat. The sun loungers near Bluefin restaurant have new mattresses, while those by the adult pool are larger and more comfortable, though showing signs of wear. Poolside service was absent during the first week but greatly improved during the second week. Oro Restaurant Oro is undoubtedly the standout restaurant, where the best service and attention are offered. The piano bar adds an elegant touch upon arrival, resembling a high-end London restaurant. The bar team mixes excellent cocktails, and the food is exceptional—well-prepared and beautifully presented. While the service can be a little slow between courses, it’s never a major issue. Just have another drink while you wait. However, be aware that access to Oro is limited to two nights per week, and bookings are required in advance (can be booked two weeks prior to your stay). All restaurants serve premium sprits and good quality house wines. Bluefin Restaurant Our experience at Bluefin was initially disappointing. On BBQ night, the three meats offered were overcooked and tough, which was a common complaint among other diners. There were also issues with long wait times. After discussing our concerns with Chad, the food manager, and Mitchell, the head chef, improvements were made, including bringing a chef from Oro to oversee the cooking. From that point, the quality of food and service significantly improved, and we enjoyed lunch there most days. Elements Restaurant Breakfast at Elements was good, particularly the omelette station, which was a highlight. The fruit selection and bread were also excellent. However, lunch and dinner were generally underwhelming. The buffet food often appeared dry or greasy, and the meats were frequently overcooked. One example was the cheese ravioli, which had dried out, causing the pasta to stick together in a clumpy mass. Smoking Policy The hotel has a strict no-smoking policy on the grounds, which includes only a small bench by the beach as the designated smoking area. This location is inconvenient, especially if you’re in a group, as you need to leave your seating to use the area. Additionally, if it rains, smokers must stand on wet sand. 10:45 pm three people smoking on edge of beach only two other guests approximately 20m away and security arrive telling us to move 5m onto beach smoking area, really!!! We raised these concerns with the management and suggested that better facilities—such as a table and chairs—be provided for smokers. Time will tell if any changes are made. Room Our seafront room in the newer adult building was ideal, with a spacious bathroom that featured a large walk-in shower, a sizable bathtub, and plenty of counter space with White Company toiletries. The queen-sized bed was very comfortable, though the pillows were a bit lumpy. On occasion, not all towels were replaced during housekeeping (e.g., no hand or face towels), but they were typically provided when the turndown service came around. We did experience a small leak from the air conditioning, but it was not disruptive. Spa On seventh floor with amazing views We had a Bajan body blast great for the skin and my wife had ageless glow facial very relaxing. Staff Are generally polite and always try to accommodate your requests Entertainment Even though the entertainment runs from 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm at Elements, by 10:00 pm the area is usually deserted. There aren’t enough seating options outside the restaurant to enjoy a drink or relax after dinner. Management and Customer Service We raised several concerns during our stay, and the management was proactive in addressing them. They are open to feedback and prefer guests to voice their issues while still at the hotel, rather than leaving negative reviews afterward. We appreciated their willingness to listen and try to resolve problems. With a new general manager in place, there is potential for further improvements. Summary Having read a number of reviews and one in a national newspaper rating O2 as top five hotel in Barbados I’m not sure how they rated so high! I wouldn’t recommend this resort for families or anyone seeking vibrant on-site nightlife. However, the nearby Gap and Oistins provide excellent options if you’re willing to venture out. Would we stay again? If the resort takes our feedback on board and makes the necessary improvements, we would consider returning to O2, but only for a week, and perhaps combining it with a stay on the west coast for a better beach experience.

We would also like to thank Makaela, Abigail and Divitri, all went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best. From the beautiful beaches and relaxing vibe, we really enjoyed our time there.

Not worth the price. This is not a luxury property. Rooms and common areas are pretty basic. The ac in our room never extracted the humidity and one unit just quit on the last day. Staff was warm and accommodating but the reception people were on the cold side. Gaps...

Staff was warm and accommodating but the reception people were on the cold side. Gaps in restaurant hours required careful meal planning, or you went without. This area of Barbados is very crowded and a bit tacky. Also, the water here is choppy, not the nice calm waters found elsewhere on the island.

This is our 2nd visit to the 02 beach club and spa and it definitely won’t be our last. We arrived at reception to a cold towel and a lovely rum Punch , as well as a kiss and a hug from the lovely John. We had opted for an ocean view room ,which was both clean and really comfortable. There is a well stocked fridge ,with lots of soft drinks as well as a bottle of fizz and some rum . Our room was beautifully designed to create a sense of calm and opening the French doors onto the balcony and hearing the waves crashing on the beach enhanced this feeling. There are 4 restaurants to choose from but make sure you book Oro in advance of your trip, to avoid any disappointment . The food in all the restaurants is excellent and hygiene is taken very seriously here . There are themed nights and these are also very good. Brisa on the roof is a great little Tapas bar and the sunsets are spectacular from up there. During and after dinner there is entertainment (singers) who are really good. The beach is quite beautiful and not crowded . There are plenty of sun loungers ,as well as many other areas around the 2 pools and up on the sun deck to relax and enjoy one of the many cocktails that you will be offered during the day . I was a little surprised to see so many people complaining on Tripadvisor that the beach is rocky and the sea is too rough to swim in but you don’t come to this part of Barbados for the calm waters , you go to the west coast for that. But most of all for us ,it’s the wonderful staff here that make us want to return again. The majority of them exude the Bajan warmth with a special mention toYanique, Nicola,Jamilia ,Omarion andAnijas, you made our holiday extra special by the thoughtful things you did. There are however a few staff On reception and in Elements that could learn from them and be a bit more welcoming but they are in the minority. So thank you 02 for giving us another holiday , where we could relax, de stress and go home feeling refreshed .

An excellent resort, with very friendly staff. We had a fantastic ocean-view room, and an all-inclusive package which covered four places to eat (Elements buffet, beach bar, rooftop tapas and the Oro restaurant). There was no stinting on the drinks provided and some great cocktails available. There is a nice beach, although there is a strong current. The only caution for future guests is that the Spa treatments are very expensive.

The food is pretty good, although Brisa was average - not really tapas, just smaller versions of standard dishes. Bluefin very good, breakfasts at Elements good too. So, overall good but not really top notch. Drinks were excellent with proper brands, rather than budget spirits etc. Rooms are also good and housekeeping spot on. Air conditioning was good but unadjustable in our suite which was rather cold. May be user error….. It sort of lets itself down with a few shabby, broken and worn out bits here and there. One of the lifts sounded and felt as if it would break at any moment, the floor was cracked and lifting and the Otis sign had fallen out….The beach beds were rather old and scruffy, with lots of broken parasols - again, fine but not five star. Slightly struggles between being a family resort and an adults only resort. Not much room for kids/teens to splash about in the pools, make a racket etc. The outside space around the pools is quite limited, with beds up against the key pathways/thoroughfares. Overall, a good but not quite great, hotel.

As an experienced all-inclusive resort traveler, I would say this is one of the best. However, there are “little things” that stop this resort from being the best that it could be. The grounds are beautiful. The beach and ocean is right at the edge of the resort. This resort is immaculately kept. Beware of deceptive spa charges during final checkout of the resort . I was charged additional costs despite what was published on the web and told to me by the spa staff. Continuing on the theme of deception, despite requesting wash cloths several times and being told that they would be provided, none were - until a complaint to the front desk. Little thing, but why the difficulty for such a simple request? Food: The Oro Restaurant is their fine dining option. Despite listing their fish as fresh catch of the day, the fish was fresh frozen at best. N.Y. Strip at Elements was flank steak. Again little things. However on a resort of this caliber I expect more honesty. Overall the food was hit or miss. There were too many buffets for dinner. Although the food was of good quality, it was never hot so the flavor suffered. Breakfast was very good but lacked variety and ended strictly at 10am- no exceptions. Drinks: They were consistently made and the bartenders were friendly. They had a great rum punch! Entertainment: Evenings were great because there were singers every night. They sang a good variety of songs. Worker’s attitudes is a big part of all inclusive and here it was a mix bag. Most would greet you with a smile and care while some acted like it was your fault they had to be there. Workers spent too much time talking among themselves. Again another little thing is that it was difficult to get coffee with breakfast because the workers would not ask. One extremely friendly and very helpful hostess was named Carolann. They need her to train others. Because the resort is small you end up meeting a lot of nice people there. The place has a great atmosphere. However, it could use more vibe during the day with music. For example a guest requested that the music at the Tiki bar be increase because it was literally at a whisper. They and we were told no by the bar manager . Again little things. In summary I recommend this place if you keep some of your expectations in line about the level of this resort. Management was helpful during our stay, but they need to be more visible. I am hopeful that they will work on the “little things” for our future next visit.

The service provided at this hotel is outstanding and all members of staff contribute to that with their friendliness. Beach is beautiful but unfortunately rocky to get into the sea. Bars are very good but if you are a Barcardi drinker it is not available you have to pay for it which is unusual when this resort has all other premium brands. We definitely visit again!!!

We stayed for 10 nights from 11th December 2025. We booked into an ocean view one bedroom suite with a kitchenette. However, we went all inclusive. There are 4 restaurants to choice from for your evening meals, but make sure you make reservation at the Concierge desk in advance. I block booked mine for the full 10 days. Food is great at all of them but their premium Ora restaurant has a great elegant atmosphere. They have a gym that is open 24/7 and well equipped for cardio and strength training. The beach is in the door step. It is private to the resort and you don’t get non-residents and hawkers selling. The Beach Entertainment crew are great and will help you with your beach loungers and parasols. The quality of resort is judged on their quickly and no questions asked to problem solving. I experienced an issue and Pierre (Manager) solved it very quickly and I was over the moon with his response. A great, quiet and relaxing resort and a super way to miss the winter UK sun and have some R&R and great food.

This was our first trip to Barbados. The O2 was great! The staff made us feel welcome with every interaction. Georgiana, Omarion, Yvonne and Jacoby were just a few names that stood out. They always went above and beyond every time. This includes making drinks to suit your needs. We stayed in a one bedroom ocean front suite. The room was laid out a bit strange. The bedroom was in between the bathroom and living/kitchen. It did not have a view that you would expect from a resort. The room was also outdated and in need of renovation but it was still a nice experience overall. Although our reservation said adults only, we were actually on the family side of the resort. However, there were no problems at all with children. Most were under 4 years or less. The only time there was a concern was during dinner at Elements. The child looked to be between 3-4 years old. She was running all over the restaurant. The mother was pregnant and had trouble trying to stop her. Once she thought she had calmed down, when she carried her back to the table, she literally kicked the place setting off the table shattering them. But if anyone is interested in a nice boutique resort, this is it!

The vibe is chilled during the day and the evening entertainment was perfect for the hotel. Great size rooms, clean and comfortable. Nice little touch providing beach bags. White Company products throughout the hotel, again great touch of luxury. We absolutely loved our stay and would most definitely return in the near future ❤️

Fantastic hotel and staff food was excellent and varied some of best we've experienced on an all inclusive hotel . The room was comfortable and a good size bathroom ,bed large and very comfortable. A fairly small beach but still beautiful ,if like a longer leg stretch Dover beach is very close to hotel (2 mins walk) and sea is a little calmer there. Would love to go back at some point in near future !!

Have just returned from an amazing break at O2 beach club and spa. Trying to find the words to give this resort the praise it deserves. Beautiful, friendly, caring, outstanding. From the moment we booked in to the resort the staff could not do enough for us. Our room was amazing with Beautiful views of the Caribbean Ocean. Clean well maintained and comfortable. The resort was well set out and the food was exquisite. Having stayed at a Sandals resort previously, we had high expectations, but wow you guys left them standing. We will definitely be returning and many thanks to all of the team who made our just to the island so memorable and enjoyable.

We had an amazing experience at O2 for our honeymoon. The resort is small but you only sense that in the limited count of other guests around. There are plenty of chairs on the beach and by the pool without having to fight for a spot early in the morning. The food was great and dinner menus change nightly so there's always something new to try. The 1 bedroom set up was perfect with a nice patio space we enjoyed every night. There is a fridge that's pre-stocked with sodas, water, wine and beer which was a nice perk.

This is a 5 star Luxury property on a beautiful stretch of powder soft sand. This is the second time we’ve stayed here, and each time we feel more and more at home. Many staff remembered us from the previous stay, and often we were greeted by name, a personal touch I can’t say I’ve experienced often at other high end hotels. We stayed for seven nights, and couldn’t fault any aspect of this hotel. It is well situated being a 20 minute drive from the airport, and near the St Lawrence Gap, a vibrant part of Barbados with restaurants, shops, and a cool scene. That said being all inclusive the O2 will cater for even the most discerning foodie. We ate at Oro most evenings, and the food is as good, if not better than some of the top restaurants we’ve eaten in on the island. Being all inclusive you have 5 eateries at your disposal, several bars, with fantastic cocktails and wines, you are really spoilt for choice. We enjoyed pre dinner drinks at Brisa, a tapas and cocktail bar on the roof of the hotel. Here you can enjoy cool breezes overlooking the stunning beach, and take in spectacular sunsets. Dwayne, behind the bar made seriously good Caparinhas, better than those we enjoyed in Rio on Copacabana beach ! We stayed in the adults only block in a well appointed bedroom overlooking the pool and beach. In the same block is the Aqua Spa, and the Oro restaurant. The beach is beautiful and water crystal clear. You often come eye to eye with turtles who both nest on parts of the beach as well as swim in the waters just off the beach. The property is kept meticulously clean, and housekeeping is superb. Staff in every area are polite and prompt to respond to any request you may have. That said their interaction and the Ambassador team aren’t intrusive, but there when you need help. I really couldn’t fault any aspect of the hospitality and quality of our stay. This is a wonderful place to enjoy a truly chilled, very laid back holiday! We’d happily return again.

Don’t come here for a peaceful holiday. The majority of the guests here are loud and management seem to be OK with that. One guest was playing music from a boom box so loud it could be heard all over the resort. Managements response -‘it’s a free world’. We had to move rooms due to people next door screaming and yelling all night. Pool towels some day didn’t arrive until 11.30 but when my wife took a couple of extra to use the next day the pool boys aggressively berated her. They chose not to speak to the couple on the next sun bed who had 10 towels because there was a man there. Food orders frequently forgotten or brought out cold. Make sure you have the sparkling water because birds drink out of the still water jug. Then the final insult - the extras deposit they take at check in hasn’t been refunded despite me chasing 3 times since getting home so think twice about handing over your credit card. A very expensive disappointment all in all.

The hotel was very clean and modern, we booked a junior suite so our room was huge with 2 double beds. We had a pool view however you could see the sea from our balcony also. The breakfast buffet was lovely with lots of choice available, the restaurant on the top floor was amazing but you can only eat here twice during your stay. We struggled with the other 2 restaurant choices some nights. The beach had a lot of seaweed, one day it was really thick upto our knees and it was never cleared away to make the beach more attractive. Overall we had a lovely stay however will not return.

Paradise! Such a fabulous hotel. The room was stunning, and staff amazing. The service was first class with friendly, attentive and welcoming at all times. Food was excellent. Beach has beautiful white sand and clear water. Would love to return at some point.

Every drink was made with care, and they greeted us each day with warmth, smiles, and genuine hospitality. A special mention to Anthony at the front desk, who truly made our stay special. From the moment we arrived, he was attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in making our honeymoon perfect. His kindness and attention to detail set the tone for our entire visit. The whole staff was a whole vibe! They was friendly and took great care of us. They exceeded our expectations. A big thank you to O2 Beach Club for making our honeymoon an unforgettable moment for us❤️🙏🏿

There was a long wait to check in, approximately 15mins but this wasn’t any problem as we were given a Rum Punch as we waited. Once checked we had an hotel Ambassador called John show us around and he was excellent! The cleanliness and the quality of the room was fantastic, unfortunately this is where it goes really disappointingly down hill. We had a reservation at the Elements Restaurant at 8:45 but was asked to change it to 8:40 - no problem at all. We went to the bar for a pre drink and then went to the restaurant at 8:30 where we were greeted by a very grumpy lady who said the table wasn’t ready, again, no problem. When we got seated. 15mins later, she was still miserable as sin but hey maybe it was a bad moment…. The food we had was really decent and we were served by a lovely waitress called Shakira! There was live music which finished at 10pm and it was very pleasant. We finished our meal at the same time as the music finished and we went out to the bar for another drink where we were treated by a barman that was clearly exhausted and really didn’t want to be there and we were felt that ordering a drink was a real chore! We grabbed our drinks and left as we felt far from welcomed. We asked another member of staff where can we go for some music even back ground music but was told to go off site to the Gap. Bear in mind this is 10:15 in a 5 star resort and there was zero places to go for music and a drink. Very long winded review but as I’ve gone a bed early I’ve a lot of time on my hands!! Basically the hotel is lovely but more if the staff are completely uninterested of being there and it’s dead after 10pm Go if you are not concerned about service and like an early night.
