Our stay at the Northolme was very relaxing, and the setting was gorgeous, with wonderful staff. Ricky at the pool was always smiling and welcoming to everyone who stopped at the pool area and helped to make sure that everyone started their day by seeing a smiling face. We had a problem with our room that Jen C and Shavela from the front desk went out of their way to make sure everything got resolved by moving us to a different room promptly with efficiently. James was extremely helpful in that move and helped to make sure that everything was great for the rest of the trip.

We stayed in this hotel several times over the years, from our first vacation in 2019 to our honeymoon in 2023, we always stay here at least for a part of our Seychelles travels. Very friendly stuff, good location and excellent food, even floating in your pool, everything is taken care off so you can just enjoy your stay. Personally we prefer the stand alone villas with pool for maximum pleasure, but the complete hotel is very well maintained and the service is excellent throughout.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at the Hilton Northolme. We waited at the arrival/departure lounge while our room was being prepared. This is a convenient feature that helps with flight timings that can obviously not be aligned with check in/check out times. What we loved the most about this property is the tranquility it offers. Situated amidst the lap of nature filled with amazing greenery and perfect views, if you are a nature lover this is the place to go. We found the service very friendly, willing to go the extra mile and unobtrusive. Thiru and Oscar from room service deserve special mention. Overall the property had a big hand in making this trip memorable.

We stayed at the Hilton Labriz for 11 nights and then a night and day at the delightful Northolme. We loved them both; we originally chose Northolme as it was convenient for the midnight flight back to UK but returned there because it was so beautiful and charming. The fabulous villa with infinity pool was one of the best hotel rooms we have ever experienced with its amazing pool and view over the Ocean. The restaurants were excellent, they prepared my food especially and we enjoyed our meals. It was romantic and quiet with no children under 13. The staff were helpful and friendly(Fabio the sous chef looked after us brilliantly), we negotiated an extension for our room which meant we could stay there until late in the evening. We will definitely include the Northolme in our Seychelles itinerary next time.

The service was outstanding. The staff are extremely kind and very helpful. Anna was amazing and just is so beautiful in wanting to always help and to be there for us. I cant say enough about the service and staff..wow!!
We stayed in 2 waterfront villas with pools. These were perfect. Rooms were clean, refreshed multiple times per day, and very updated. The views were to die for.
The food and entertainment was a huge plus. Buffet and also menu options were delightful
Location was 35 minuted from airport and the town of Victoria

Amazing location. Great views. Fantastic staff with a shout out to Gorvachov (& his sister Reagan back in Ethiopia)! Lounge if you get there before check in time. Tropical paradise reminds me of Fiji, Tahiti or Hawaii! Beautiful breeze and breathtaking views

This aged property has a certain unique charm as it is nestled into the hills with a wonderful vista and is not a massive generic hotel structure. Unfortunately that is where it stops, this hotel is not at a 5 star standard, even by lower Seychelles hospitality standards. “Customer experience” is not a phrase known by management or delivered by the team, the overall feeling is that everything is offered just enough to click a check-box, but not with a feeling of hospitality or amenity. Everything is managed to the convenience of the team and not towards the guest. The front desk staff gives lip service promises to get rid of you and there is no communication between team members. We were asked exactly the same question multiple times over and over again. Nothing is ever offered, everything is by request. I don’t feel that turn-down, ice, or an early departure breakfast box is upon request, but should be OFFERED proactively by the team. The Hilton Honors GOLD amenities such as early check-in, or upgrade are non-existent. Most of the staff are junior and untrained with little social skills.
The food is fair at best. The breakfast is fine, nothing lavish, just fine. The Mahe creole dinner buffet is expensive and limited. The service is sloppy at the bar as the food sits waiting to be picked up with apparently no communication between the bar and the kitchen. The burger which I thought would be a safe and easy choice was cold… instead of remaking it properly the entire plate was popped into the microwave. That being said there where a few individuals that were a delight and happy to be working with guests. Joy, who makes the pancakes, was a delight to see at breakfast and offset her co-workers who could hardly be bothered clearing the table.
We were allocated an ocean view room as booked, but these bungalows are two levels so not only our view was partially obstructed by low tree branches but you also hear people upstairs above your head!! Bungalows with pools have a better location on the property but we found their pricing a bit excessive compared to ocean view and there is no other intermediate option.
Overall, we expected that this would be a higher standard of a real 5 star Hilton and it is just not delivering that.
Maybe it’s a bit more attractively priced than the Four Seasons or other luxury brands on the Mahe Island but if they don’t deliver at advertised level, it is still too expensive for price paid, isn’t it ?

We recently stayed here for 14 nights to celebrate our Silver Wedding.
On the morning of our anniversary the breakfast staff brought us a decorated plate of pancakes with a piped message of chocolate icing wishing us a happy anniversary - when we returned to our room the staff had been in to make our bed with a pair of love swans (towels) and a message made out of flowers and leaves to celebrate our special day.
Our villa 208 was amazing it was almost a tree house with complete privacy overlooking the Indian Ocean with amazing wildlife to watch, cleanliness was astounding and every member of staff were so courteous and friendly.
The bars had a good selection of drinks and when I asked if they had any Guiness they said that they would obtain me some the following day which they did and the sunsets are amazing.
Breakfasts are brilliant with a wide choice of products and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
When our stay was coming to the end its the first time ever that we have felt sad that our holiday was coming to the end - a truly wonderful place and the people are so nice that it felt that they wanted you to be part of their family - TRULY PARADISE

What a fantastic hotel, with mountains on one side and sea on the other. Our villa was very spacious with huge bathroom, jacuzzi and balcony surrounded by tall trees. The villa was spotless clean, with a lot of sitting areas. We were lucky to have a small water stream coming from the mountains next to our villa. My favorite part of villa was the balcony, with huge trees, music of the fountain and partial view of the sea.
The hotel has 2 private beaches. All restaurants come with wonderful views. Infact, all over the place the view is superb. Best sunset view one can get from Restaurant Mahe. The swimming pool is equally fantastic.
The breakfast served was very nice, had a lot of varieties. All restaurants serve very tasty food.
The service provided by the staff is excellent, they take care of the guests very well and always very attentive.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and definitely like to come back.

spectacular stay at the Northholme Hilton with 5 star service and a very beautiful and picturesque setting.
positives-
greeted with sparkling wine then transferred for check in at the main hotel.
we are diamond members so were able to check in early and had access for their wonderful breakfast with a wonderful ocean view.
service at breakfast was very warm and personal. they made us feel special.
the rooms are all villas i believe. we were very happy with our villa and it was beautiful especially with the welcome flowers on the bed along with some snacks and some fruity iced tea on the table. huge bathroom area with a stand alone tub and a shower. refrigerator present. my wife is still raving about how she loved this villa!!!
ocean views forever!
drinking water was replaced daily.
infinity swimming pool very nice and with ocean views. towels available as well as loungers.
hotel is not crowded.
they have a lounge area for people waiting for rooms or waiting for the flights. the lounge has coffee and some pastries as well as a shower and bathroom.
once a day transfer -free to town or to one of the beaches but need to reserve a spot.
staff were terrific - very friendly and helpful.
loved the fruit bats flying around in evening.
loved the cannon ball trees next to our villas.
dinner at the Mahe restaruant was very nice and seemed to be fairly priced.
there is a small snorkel spot and kayaks are free to use for guests but the ocean was to rough for that when we were there. i was lucky enough to spot an eagle ray from the pool area cruising by.
negatives- none really however should be aware that there is not much within walking distance except a couple of small stores that sell basics/drinks/alcohol but no hot food, if you are going stay for several days would need a rental car or a taxi hire-and taxis are expensive!
overall highly recommended hotel and a very special and memorable stay for us.
thank you Northolme hilton staff!

Fantastic service. Staff couldn't be more helpful - we were treated like royalty.
Restaurants serve amazing food with great menus.
Fabulous room overlooking the ocean, with completely private un-overlooked outside deck area. Large comfy bed. Good air con.
There is a small sandy cove thats good for snorkelling and another small sandy cove thats fine for sunbathing and paddling but too shallow for swimming. Adventurers can take one of the free kayaks down to local beach Beau Vallon.
Live music each evening in the Ocean View bar with some very good local bands.
Daily shuttle bus service to Beau Vallon beach or Victoria (needs to be booked)
Well worth getting a hire car for a couple of days to explore the south of the island. Anse Royale has excellent snorkelling and Petite Anse and Anse Soliel both beautiful beaches.
All beaches on the island are public accessible (even those attached to hotels)
Lovely infinity pool and sun bed area and a reasonably equipped gym open 24 *7
Never a problem getting a bed as some villas have private pools.
Overall an unforgettable experience

Booked an all inclusive stay here for 6 nights, sunset villa, and I can honestly say, it is probably the best holiday i have been on.
Staff - Extremely friendly, really look after you well and work hard. Their service is impeccable and the hospitality is above and beyond anything I have experienced before (ive been on many 5* all inclusives before). Shout out to Anand and Jomy in the Wave bar also! I have read reviews on here saying ‘staff are miserable’ etc etc - all lies!
Food - Scrumptious. The food quality was unreal. There is a lot of seafood dishes…if youre not into seafood then it can be limited but do your research and check the menus online to judge if you think the food meets your needs. Again, some reviews on here slating the food, your fault for not reading up! I recommend the Tuna burger (had it 4x) and the Seychellois breakfast!
***NOTE*** - Not all items on the lunch and dinner menu are included - where it says ‘Supplement for Half/Full Board of X rupees ’ - it means you have to pay an extra fee for it (even if you are all inclusive) - this note on the menu can be slightly misleading and I would recommend the hotel to change the wording
Drinks - Not much option for all inclusive ( 4 cocktail choices that are included are Pina colada, Mojito, Rum punch, Mai Tai) but Im not really a drinker so I was fine with these options. The drinks were really refreshing. I do recommend trying the Sparkling green mocktail - works wonders when its really humid!
Rooms - Nice and spacious and comfortable bed with a great view. They are a bit old school but who cares! We had a few issues with our room initially but the staff were on hand to repair the leaks and even offered us room swaps for the inconvenience which was very generous of them! The staff also wrote a hand written card and gave us a complimentary fruit platter as an offer of apology which was sweet of them to do so.
Hotel activities - Not much to do to be honest. If you solely want to relax then this hotel is for you. There is an infinity pool (albeit small) which is chilled out and plenty of sunbeds…they have snorkelling and kayak gear available on the beach and an indoor gym, and a pool table in the bar. So if you are into keeping busy, then maybe this hotel isnt for you. I personally just came to relax and I was content.
Beach - Small beach, bit rocky, but the water is clear and warm. I liked the beach being different…most destinations have just standard sandy beaches, this was definitely a new experience here and I enjoyed it
Conclusion - It is a great hotel to relax in, with wonderful food and customer service. The staff take great pride in what they do and ensure you are comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Northolme Seychelles. My wife and I are both Hilton Diamond members and we stayed here for 5 nights using a combination Free Night Certificates and points. I picked this hotel over other Hilton properties because of its relatively close proximity to the Cat Cocos ferries in Victoria which can take you to La Digue and Praslin. The ferry terminal is 20 to 30 minutes from the hotel provided traffic is not bad. The hotel itself is older, but provides great views (if you get the right room) and gives you the feel that you are in the Seychelles and not at a typical hotel. Special thanks to Emmelyn at the front desk who upgraded us to a pool villa with a great view. Also thanks to Loes, the operations manager, for her cheerful greeting each day. She is a real asset to this property.

This is not a 5 star hotel, we came here for our honeymoon and were disappointed from the get go.
We were “upgraded” to the Ian Fleming suite, which was a nice gesture but in reality it was crap - i'd be surprised if much has changed since the time he stayed there. There was a big blue tarp blocking the view from the balcony, and noisy works outside the window during the daytime. The blinds were all broken and the doors all had gaps in them so we got eaten alive by mosquitoes, visited by cockroaches, and also there were lizards going in and out the room all the time (we get this can happen, but it didn't happen at any other hotel we stayed at on our trip, presumably because they didn't have big gaps in their doors).
Our travel agent booked us the honeymoon package, which consisted of some tacky mugs, a hamper of the cheapest things on the bar menu (which we were given without consultation, it several of which we couldn’t eat, we were not asked about preferences or dietaries - not a 5 star experience) with no drinks, and a bath with petals which we have to say was nice.
The food was a mixed bag, some dishes were lovely. Others were inedible. When we said we couldn’t eat the very overcooked mixed seafood casserole (gritty/chalky prawns etc) the staff wouldn’t let us forget about it for days after. As for the staff, also a mixed bag, a couple of them stood out as super lovely (e.g. Ricky, and the lady who makes the pancakes!) but on the whole the hotel was clearly understaffed so the majority of staff seemed overstretched, in poor spirits, and everything was done very slowly.
There’s great snorkelling here and the hotel offers free use of their gear. All good except it’s obviously never cleaned, we found chewing gum in one mask and the staff’s response was to pour bleach in it and hand it back to us to clean out. Fine elsewhere, but again not 5*.
The plants and wildlife there are amazing. Done right the hotel has potential but generally so many things seem outdated and minimum quality. You can get real 5* quality for a similar price elsewhere (especially on Praslin). If you want something truly special, this is not it - in terms of quality this is a 4* hotel so manage your expectations if you’re coming here.

Private pool villa is amazing but overall, hotel lacks value for money, has poor management, food is not great.

We spent 7 nights at the Hilton in a private pool villa with half board.
Purely based on the price we paid (approx $1,200 USD per night), and that it is a Hilton brand, this hotel is a solid 2*.
When we spoke to the hotel about the below issues - we were told the hotel Op manager would see us at breakfast the next morning.
Yet when morning came, they didn’t bother to show up / were not available and sent in an Exec Chef to speak on behalf of them. I think this pretty much summed up how we saw management of this hotel and likely explains a lot of our experience. If management had bother to meet, they would know this poor review was coming.
The excellent:
Private pool villa was a 4/5.
The views were great.
The pool was excellent as it was a decent size to do some laps.
The whirlpool bathtub was a nice touch/addition.
There were some parts of the room that were broken (faulty light mirror, power sockets that don’t fit chargers, etc.).
Our room must have been close to the outside road as we would constantly hear cars driving past and their loud music.
Housekeeping was a 5/5.
Service was regular and we often only requested for a clean once a day instead of day + turndown.
They kept the room clean and stocked with water and coffee pods.
I explained on the first day we needed six bottles of water daily and they accommodated this request with no reminding.
Overall, the staff were 4/5.
They were polite and pleasant, but most were not what I would describe as cheery, happy, welcoming or friendly. That’s not to say they were unhappy. They just looked quite serious.
Perhaps we stayed at the end of the season and they were “done” with guests - but in saying this, anything we requested was actioned. And the above didn’t affect our stay.
The exceptions to the above were Anna on reception and a gentleman who said he’d been working at the hotel for 9 years - I think his name started with S.
The areas that need major improvements considering the hotel brand and price per night:
All the restaurants would average a 2/5 each.
They were consistently inconsistent, or consistently disappointing.
This hotel is 1000% not a foodie destination. If you are into gastronomy or sensational food, it is not the place for you.
It felt like there was something weird happening during our stay - as though the kitchens were full of new staff, undergoing training or new management, or understaffed.
It was single handedly the let down of the hotel and the brand.
It is because we stayed for so long at the hotel that we can give a detailed review of each restaurant, as we ate at each one at least twice.
In a nutshell:
Mahé - the food was okay.
Visit #1 - the pork tomahawk was overcooked and almost inedible.
Visit #2 - everything was fine, but as I left the restaurant, I felt lightheaded and woozy and was not sure if it was due to something I had eaten.
Ocean View - the food was not great, and it took too long to be served.
Both nights, the restaurant was not busy and our sitting took over 2 hours. The point of going each night was for a “quick and casual” meal.
Visit #1 - it took 45+ minutes to receive the main after the starter. We ordered a burger and gnocchi. The burger was overcooked and unenjoyable to eat.
Visit #2 - it took approx 15 mins before anyone took our order, then 35 minutes for the starters to arrive. Both starters required no cooking as one was a salad and the other a cold cut-type dish.
I also ordered the burger and asked for it to be medium-rare, but it came out the same as the first night.
Wave - the food was shockingly inconsistent.
Visit #1 - the food was okay. We were sat at a table where no breeze came through and there were no fans so as the night got on, it got uncomfortably hot in our seats.
Visit #2 - we sat where there was a natural breeze. We ordered almost the same meals as the first visit but they looked completely different and also had some different ingredients. The ravioli Alfredo was terrible - the sauce drowned the ravioli (like a soup) and the ravioli was gross.
—
To sum up our stay, in terms of value for money, management, and living up to the international Hilton name, it was terribly disappointing - and I would be hesitant to recommend it to someone who is used to the Hilton brand, or return.
However, if a private pool villa is your requirement, this is a great hotel option.
I would suggest the following:
Ask for a room away from the busy road.
Pack a lot of drinks and snacks to eat in the room.
Eat outside when possible (eg if visiting the city or on a tour).
If you must eat at the hotel, order a starter and main to share.
The half or full board is currently, absolutely, not worth it. Avoid avoid avoid.
—
Overall, this hotel felt more like it was run by a small, local hotel brand. Or as if Hilton merely supplied their name and don’t bother to oversee operations.

Extremely poor service , no options for vegetarian cuisine, not at all responsive staff to even attend calls or take orders from the guests
Would never recommend to anyone especially vegetarian guests and people looking for late night food as they have no option even after being a 5 star property.

We had a Grand Oceanview Infinity pool villa and it was well worth it. A spacious suite with comfortable large bed and good shower. There’s also a jacuzzi bath in the bathroom but we never used this. The room is maybe slightly dated but who cares when the pool with views is spectacular! The only slight issue is the bed is on a raised platform so be careful if you get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night as it’s easy to forget about it and take a painful tumble.
We had half board basis. Breakfast was excellent with a large buffet of cold options to choose from. In addition there’s an a la carte menu of made to order hot dishes, predominantly egg based, but sausages etc too. Dinner is slightly hit n miss and certainly not 5 star fine dining, more 3/4 star at best but we always found something we liked on the menu.
We didn’t eat in the bar but we did in the other 2 restaurants. Of these we preferred Wave for both the menu and the ambience. The paella with lobster was delicious.
There is a reasonable choice of wine, including some decent french wine with prices on a par with what we’d pay in restaurants in UK. Some have said cost of drinks is expensive but we found prices to be pretty much in line with hotels in UK. If you’re on a tight budget there’s a happy hour 5-6pm with half priced cocktails.
Staff were excellent, all very friendly and doing their best to please. A special mention for Gabrielle from Jakarta who went the extra mile each day at breakfast and the waiter from Mumbai in Wave who gave us very good service.
If you want entertainment Benidorm style this is not for you. It’s predominately a couples based (no children!) resort for people who are here for a quiet relaxing break and not for Glenda from Doncaster crooning out I Will Survive on karaoke!
We took a day trip into Victoria but for us it wasn’t worth the bother. Not a lot to see and a stench of fish - probably the tuna factory - all over town.

We were booked to travel to the Seychelles in 2020 when our plans were scuppered by Covid but it was definitely worth the wait.
It is an absolute paradise and the Hilton along with its super helpful friendly & happy staff is a great host.
We spent a week just chilling by our private infinity pool where we enjoyed floating aperitifs as well as the floating breakfast, eating at the lovely restaurants and drinking at the Ocean view bar, where Ian Fleming was inspired to write his James Bond novels
We took signature grand ocean pool villa which complete with our memory maker Anand and room attendant Thiur who looked after our every need and made Lady W’s birthday a day to be long remembered.
We did a cocktail masterclass with Wesley and I hit numerous fish food filled biodegrade-able golf balls into the beautiful Indian Ocean, just a couple of fantastic touches from the attentive staff
We were on the all inclusive option which was a bit confusing around what was or wasn’t included but we got the hang of it and we’re not disappointed with our choice by the end
Great hotel which clearly cares about and invests in its staff and which we would happily return to too
Thank you for making our trip so memorable
