Stunning location overlooking the Caribbean. Old skool Colonial vibes, white picket fencing up a steep cliff with verandas bursting with an old almond tree. The most evocative hotel we’ve ever stayed in and we’ve stayed in some pretty stunning places. The rooms are fairly basic but make up for it in romance. Sitting on the balcony late at night listening to the crickets and watching the dark sea was one of the loveliest experiences of my life. Tiny pool but who needs one with the sea at the bottom of the dock. Food excellent, especially the breakfasts.

The food was good in the restaurant. The rooms were VERY tired and the nightclub opposite kept us awake to 2pm- noisy considering how far out the town. It was odd that they wanted a room deposit when there was nothing in it! We struggled to charge phones. Pool had a good view. It was small but the jacuzzi was lovely.

The room came with a balcony. We enjoyed sitting and watching the sun rise. The bar area has a great view and provides a picturesque sunset. The downside was our bed was not comfortable and because this hotel is directly on Main Stree is gets very noisy at nights from the car horns and ouside music. The traffic is tight

So I decided to try out Hibiscus lodge resort in ocho rios to spend my birthday weekend from May 19,2023 and check out May 21,2023. The night of my birthday dinner not gonna lie the food was exquisite .The other day we went for breakfast breakfast was ok but the portions were too small not because it was complimentary you want people to come back so you must do better. We went on the road to get some lunch which was a great idea because dinner for the last night which was Saturday night was terrible meaning my other half ordered spicy curries goat with rice and peas but ended up getting a watery curried goat, in a small portion not having any spice and mostly bone to chew ,I ordered the chicken pasta but got a dry chicken pasta meaning it had no flavor and the sauce wasn’t creamy at all we both didn’t enjoy our dinner. The other day checking out the front desk lady asked the housekeeper to check our room if there was any damage to it, when she was making her report they are going to say because makeup was on the sheet and the pillow case they have to charge me $4000 how ridiculous is that Kmt isn’t their job to wash the linens and towels with stains, dirt or makeup never again,so if I was to bring a child and the child mess up the linen I would still have to pay for that as well. I wouldn’t recommend that place to anyone total madness.

Love love this place. Tony is awesome!! Great hospitality, beautiful garden and ocean front property. Resident parrots and doves. Great restaurant and bar on location. Free breakfast daily. Would stay again in the near future!!!
