Pillow had a thick make-up stain first night I noticed it, ended up not using that pillow. The bathroom towel rack kept falling. Woke up with my towel on the ground. The food was mid, made me sick for 2 days. Love Curacao but definitely stay somewhere else. Asked if they can accommodate a late checkout, they said no to me but said yes to the person in front. Honestly, Not worth the hassle. First and last time I stay at a Marriot Resort.

It was our first time in Curacao and overall we really enjoyed the hotel. Rooms were clean and modern, the pool areas were nicely landscaped and clean - only one day did we have a challenge finding a chair. While the menus are somewhat limited, the food we had on the resort was very good and much better than we found off the resort. Overall we found the staff in the restaurants to be wonderful, but the front desk could have been more helpful. We arrived at check in time 2/22 (4:00 PM) and our room was not ready until 6:00 PM. We were told we were upgraded to a garden view room, but I was disappointed when we arrived at the room to find our ground floor patio was about 10 feet from the CSpice restaurant. Not only did that mean no view, but also no privacy. I asked that evening if we could upgrade (even offering to pay). I was told they had a lot of checkouts the next morning (2/23). When I approached the front desk the next morning, I was told the person who would be able to move our room (a manager) was out sick and they had a lot of checkouts the NEXT day (2/24) and they would let me know. It was never addressed and we stayed in the same room all week. The challenge was not only the lack of privacy (curtains had to stay closed or everyone at the restaurant could see into our room), but the noise level. We are early to bed people and there was music every night and while some of it was nice, there were two nights our room was literally vibrating from the music. I write all this because, if we had been moved, this review would have been spotless - but there seemed to be no concern about our request. Also note - this hotel is used for corporate trips and special events - which honestly didn't bother us at all - just an FYI.

I've recently had some bad experiences with service at Marriott resorts, so I was really hoping this resort was going to be better. I'm happy to report that the service here exceeded my expectations, and has rekindled my faith in the Marriott brand. The servers and bartenders at the Salty Iguana and ÇSpice were friendly and consistently took great care of us. But what really stood out as over-the-top amazing was the service we received from the concierge team. Alexandra and Precious went above and beyond with dinner reservations and car rental. Due to Carnival, there were almost no rental cars available, and Alexandra and Precious called every rental car place on the island until they found one. They also followed up with us after dinners and activities to see how we were enjoying our stay. They were both super awesome!

Location. The hotel is located on the west side of the island, only about 10-15 minutes from the airport.
Pool: pools are great. One pool is for everyone, the other pool is for adults. Free cabanas, hotel was full when we were there and we found chairs each day.
Restaurants. Breakfast buffet is awesome, worth it. Elite member here of Marriott so I didn't have to pay for it.
Beach. Super nice beach, if you visit other beaches you'll find that ultimately the Marriott's beach is just as nice.
Attached photo shows the layout of the resort. X marked where we stayed. Benefits of that part of the resort: quiet, far away bars/pools.
Interior of room: American sized rooms, large bathrooms, quality furnishings. No compromises here on anything. USA tv networks, good quality internet.

We checked into the Marriott Curacao from Sat Feb 22, 2025 to Saturday March 1 2025.
The Property was great . The only issue we had and it was addressed by Renee was the bed ( firm- addressed by adding a topper ) other than that we had a Garden View and it was quiet.
We had breakfast included and if u go ask for Paulette who make the most amazing Omelet ! And ask for Mary Jane to wait on you so friendly and down to earth...
I would highly recommend this hotel. Amazing service and staff.

This resort exceeded my expectations.
Before arrival at this beautiful resort, I receved an email from Graceny Webster - Rooms Controller, that I had been upgraded to an Ocean Front room because of my Marriott membership!
There were so many things I liked about this resort, however there were a couple of small things that could easily be adjusted by management to make it stellar.
Pros: At checkin, free champagne was served in the lobby. There was a bit of a wait but it had a party vibe. The lobby also had really cool swing chairs that I swung in more than once.
Ocean front rooms have an unbeatable view. Hearing the soft Caribbean waves crashing at night was an amazing experience. The room was also well equiped. We were there during Superbowl and were able to watch the full game on the TV in the room. The bed was comfortable and the storage was ample.
All food served at this resort was very tasty. We especially liked the Papiamentu Marketplace for breakfast as we like to eat a small breafast.
The men working in the arrival area were excellent. They parked our car and got our car. We always gave them a good tip for this service.
The beach was very pleasant to swim in. I did not go snorkeling at this beach as we had a rental car so went to other snorkeling areas on the island such as Tugboat and Grote Knip.
The resort's location is excellent. You have access to all parts of the island as you're pretty much in the middle of the island.
Cons: There was a green flashing light in the room which can be seen from the bed at night. It appeared to be a motion sensor. This was disruptive and should be removed or majorly toned down.
The hardware used on the handles for the heavy door into the bathroom and opening the refridgerator had a sharp edge and was uncomfortable to open and close these doors. This could easily be swapped out.
When ordering room service, we forgot to order drinks. It appeared to be impossible to add to your order once placed online. We had to place a drink order over the phone which arrived 45 minutes after we ate. I did not accept the drink as we'd already finished eating. I'm sure this glitch in the ordering software could easily be fixed.
The cons are quite minor compared to our overall experience at this resort. We enjoyed our stay thoroughly and as I mentioned, the Marriott Curacao EXCEEDED my expectations. Thanks for the great stay!

I recently stayed at this resort for a surprise birthday getaway for my lady, and it was an amazing experience. Before our arrival, Graceny, a Marriott guest representative, reached out to help me plan the trip. She made all the difference! She arranged for a fantastic room upgrade with a perfect view of the ocean and an overlook of the "adults only" side of the resort and pool—two incredible views from our corner room. She also helped organize a special birthday surprise for my partner. Graceny was truly focused on customer service and attentive to all my travel needs.
Upon arriving, we met Bryan, who worked in the lobby and assisted with our luggage. He was incredibly helpful in arranging private transportation around Curaçao and was a great resource for all of our questions, as it was our first time visiting the island. He was also very friendly and approachable.
As for the resort itself, here are some highlights:
- The room was excellent—spacious, clean, and located on the "adults only" side, with breathtaking views of the ocean (Room 322).
- The breakfast buffet was delicious, with plenty of options. Highly recommend it.
- The on-site restaurants for lunch and dinner were good, although a bit pricey.
- To reach the main tourist area of the city, a taxi or rental car is needed, which takes about 7-10 minutes.
- The staff were friendly and welcoming.
- The beach was lovely.
We've traveled to many destinations in the Caribbean and around the world, and this Marriott stands out as one of the better ones. I highly recommend it, especially if you're looking for a peaceful stay away from the crowds of cruise ships and the city.

It started when we waited in line for half hour after a long flight. 2 people working the front desk with a huge line of people wanting to check in. Not staffed well up front it seems. Our room was not cleaned our first day there. After having breakfast on our terrace- we came back at around 5pm to see the food and trays and old towels still there. We brought this to the manager attention and if you can believe it- it happened once again on our second to last day (what a way to go out). We were woken up by people in our hallway, which you should not be able to really hear that clearly in a hotel room (maybe they don't have proper sound proofing). This happened a couple of times. Our tv didn't work. They had to come and fix it. The service at the Salty Iguana food wise was slow and there's no reason the menu should have to change from the day menu to the very what I would consider limited "dinner" menu. We woke up one morning to a puddle of water by our glass sliding door bc of our ac setting? Seems odd but nothing surprised us anymore. We got the invitation to attend the managers happy hour bc we thought it would be a good time to speak and bring to light some of our issues with the managers there. Wouldn't you know it they changed the time but failed to tell the guests. Overall poor management here and there needs to be a real change. Again, we have been away to Sandals St Lucia, Hyatt Aruba, etc we have never experience such terrible operations and I blame management.
