The Kontiki

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Kontiki in Curaçao. It was quiet, peaceful, and exactly the relaxed vibe we were hoping for. Being just steps from the beach was incredible, and we loved that everything we needed—restaurants, little shops, and beach spots—was within easy walking distance. The shuttle to the grocery store was a huge bonus and made our stay even more convenient. Most of all, the staff truly went above and beyond. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help—always with a smile. We fell in love with Curaçao during this stay and can’t wait to return. I would highly recommend the Kontiki to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-located place with exceptional service.

I absolutely love the Kontiki and this was my second time staying here. I came 2 years ago and stayed in the regular rooms which are so cute! This time I saw that they had apartments and decided to try those. The apartment was lovely and spacious with a big patio/terrace. The grounds of the hotel are a dream. The beach and bars/restaurants are really nice and chic giving you a real boho Caribbean vibe. The mood bar bartenders make great cocktails and the vibe is sexy and serene! If you’re beachside definitely grab a caparina from cabana beach or wet and wild, they make them very well. Berry bliss upstairs has good breakfast. Greenhouse has amazing shrimp tacos. Rikeh rooftop has ladies night specials all Thursday and the space is so colorful and nice! Chill bar is a must go, the design of it is so cool you’ll want to take a photo! And the shrimp skewers were so tasty. Madero has fun parties on Wednesday and Friday. Zanzibar, a quick cab ride is the place to go on Saturdays. It’s an outdoor space with a large bar that goes around, filled with locals. Fun music and vibes. Definitely take a walking tour to learn about the culture of the country and visit the museum! Try Boho 6 restaurant if you go. Cabs are expensive here so be prepared

I had an incredible stay at this property. I stayed in a bungalow surrounded by trees, with a beautiful view of the sea and the swimming pool. Waking up in the morning to the sound of birds was truly relaxing. One morning, while I was swimming in the pool, I saw two iguanas nearby, which made the experience even more unique and memorable. Breakfast on the beach was a highlight—peaceful, delicious, and with an amazing view. The beach itself was very comfortable and perfect for relaxing. The hospitality at the resort was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this property and would love to return.
