Four Seasons Resort Seychelles

We choose to stay in FS Seychelles in February for 7 night vacation. It was one of the most memorable one. Location of the hotel is one of the best on Mahe island. The bay that hotels stays is really incredible! Sand is very great - white and very fine, ocean is with a turquoise color. We stayed in a hilltop ocean villa - perfect choise! Villa was very big having a good pool outside, not appropriate only for a floating breakfast but a deep one you can use really for swimming. We tried all the restaurants and in-villa dining also. All were super cool, there is a very good Steak Shack restaurant, Asian is also great. Service is on a top quality - there is no need to go to reception to arrange your stay, you can clarify everything by their app which is very useful. All people constantly asked you if you need any further help or if you are satisfied with the stay. All of them are more than polite. The team arranged a boat for us to go and seek for other nature treasures on the other islands - very good organization. We were very happy by it. Our flight was late in the evening and we asked for a late check-out. Nevermind, the hotel was full they decide to confirm it and we used our villa until the end of our holiday. Recommend that property for sure!!!

The sky, the ocean, the mountainside layout, and the friendliness of the staff combined for a great 5-day stay. The snorkeling and water access via a stunning powder white sand beach was a highlight. The water was among the brightest blue I've ever seen, and the beach ultra clean and safe. The underwater scene changed throughout the day, but it always felt like being in a magic aquarium. We also enjoyed swimming laps in the 30M pool, which was seldom used by other guests. There was plenty of shade and seating, and frequent attention from the fun and friendly beach staff (kudos to Marita, Edwin, Portia and others who looked after us). The breakfast buffet, service and setting were outstanding. We dined twice in the ZEZ Bar for Indian cuisine and thought it was tasty. Mary Rose was a delightful roving hostess. Housekeeping was flawless, unseen and frequent. We appreciated the kind gestures of wine, fruit, a Thanksgiving desert, tropical iced tea and other amenities that frequently appeared in our room while we were enjoying the beach. The front office team was on professional point and very friendly. We were grateful that James was able to arrange accommodation for us to work around our flight arrival and departure times. He and Mohammed also capably handled a minor facilities issue we experienced in our villa. WhatApp chat made it easy to communicate. We rented a vehicle, which was parked without charge just inside the resort gate, a short buggy ride from the villa. We enjoyed exploring the island and seeing the local residents. The driving was bit daunting sometimes, but we found everything orderly, comfortable and picturesque outside the resort gates. Overall an excellent stay and a reasonable value for the money.

Absolutely Exceptional – A Perfect Stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Seashells Our stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Seashells was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we arrived until the very last minute, everything was flawless. The service was truly world-class – every member of the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. The team at the bars, the restaurant, Koi, Sess, and Steak Shark were all exceptional – attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Dining was a highlight of our trip: every meal was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The food was simply first-class. Kids Club is amazing! Every Day lots of activities all day long (compliment!!) with lovely Team! The atmosphere by the sea and on the beach was serene and luxurious, and the pool area was spotless and inviting – a perfect place to relax and unwind. Our room was immaculate, tastefully decorated, and always perfectly cleaned by the wonderful housekeeping staff. Every detail at the Four Seasons Hotel Seashells radiates quality and care. It’s rare to find a place where everything – from the service to the setting – is this consistently excellent. We left with full hearts and can’t wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone seeking true luxury, warmth, and perfection in every aspect.

We were just at FS Seychelles for our 10-year wedding anniversary. The property is stunning, we have been to bora bora, anguilla, amalfi coast, etc., and I can confidently say this is probably the most beautiful beach in the world. The room was updated and spectacular, unbelievable views and beautiful furnishings. Amazing small touches, attention to detail, notes in our room about our anniversary, just excellent service all around. Re: service, Laurent at the front desk was an absolute gem. Beach service was great, Humberto and Martina were awesome. Honestly everyone we encountered was so kind and helpful! Re: food, we are from NYC and really appreciate good food (and know the difference.) When we travel, we generally like to leave the hotel to eat the more local, authentic food, at the local spots, but after having a couple of meals at FS we realized their food was so good it didn't make sense to leave! Not your usual boring hotel food (although they have a great club sandwich and fries if that's what you are after) but amazing indian (zez bar), wagyu steak (steak shack), sushi (koi), and of course local creole dishes (kaneel), etc etc. I should also add that we had a hiccup with the room on two of the nights, which could have really tarnished the experience for us. But the managers (mandy and mohammed - "mo") handled it quickly and with such class and grace and made us so impressed with the FS Brand! That is what makes people want to come back! We will definitely be back, this is a really special place!

We stayed at the Four Seasons resort, on the island of Mahe, for 10 days as part of our honeymoon. We opted for the Serenity villa for that extra privacy and we weren’t disappointed. The Four Seasons Beach is the best on the island; soft white sand, palm trees and amazing fish and coral makes for great snorkelling! The villa surpassed our expectations, it was beautiful and we received treats each day from housekeeping. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and were super friendly. Big shout out to James, Mervin, David, Hansel, Ian and Basil. The main hotel offered an extensive cuisine which equalled the quality we would expect in London restaurants. Highly recommend this destination for a couples holiday/ honeymoon.

This was our most expensive splurge for our trip to the Seychelles and it was absolutely worth it! Prior to going, I had compared reviews of several different beautiful properties for our splurge including the six senses, Constance, Waldorf Astoria, Anantara and we ended up choosing the Four Seasons because we had amazing experiences with other FS properties. We also saw a review on YouTube that ranked this particular FS property as one of their top 5 in the world. We knew we had to choose it! From the get go, they took note that we didn’t drink alcohol so they gifted us the most delicious non-alcoholic bubblies, along with a cake to celebrate our 7 year anniversary! I also loved the fresh coconut welcome drink they gave us. Every day, they would leave our room with a little snack and surprise message on the bed. This is not the most ‘updated’ Four Season I’ve visited, but I do love how spacious the villas were. We booked the garden villa so we had a beautiful lotus pond as our view. I saw workers cleaning the pond daily of debris. There’s always people making sure the grounds are extremely manicured. We had an amazing pool outside, and some lounging area, but honestly, we spent most of our time at their beautiful on-site beach Petite Anse! I believe we were there during low season (September), but the weather was actually perfect, and the resort wasn’t crowded. The property is very vertical in design due to the granite mountain it’s built on, so you will mostly take buggies to get from place to place. They came quickly whenever we requested for them on WhatsApp. They did let us know that during peak season, it can take up to 15 minutes sometimes to get your buggy ride. We did a group snorkel with the on-site marine biologist and it was so much fun! Out of everywhere we stayed in Seychelles, this particular beach had the best snorkel! We saw a ton of fish and they had told us that people even saw whale sharks out at sea! We tried asking them about any tours that were available for that, but they said there weren’t any particular whale sharks tours. We did a sunset kayak, and it was lovely as the waves were extremely gentle. I normally do get sea sick easily but the way the beach is sheltered, it seems to make that area very calm. Petite Anse also had some of the most soft, white sand there was. It was so powdery and comfortable. There also wasn’t much debris. We thought the chicken sandwich was delicious too. I liked that they gave us water with a cooler bag. However, I wish people came to check up on water service more often. I also did a mat Pilates class, which they said normally would be 8-10 attendees, but mine happened to be just me. The instructor said he kept it easy, but I definitely felt sore the next day. It was a great workout after all the food I ate! It’s also located at the Spa which literally has the most INCREDIBLE view! I wish I had time for a spa treatment! We booked the private residence tour as well, which was AMAZING! It truly inspired us to come back with our family/friends in the future. The house had the most crazy panoramic view. Food was delicious. If you visit Seychelles, you’ll realize that you’re mostly going to have to share food with birds. The Four Seasons clearly understood that, so they have doors to the food buffet areas. This was not the case for some other hotels we went to, and I actually saw birds standing on the waffles at another place. It’s nice to know that I didn’t have to worry about this. However, you still have to guard your food once you get it to the table. The birds are always going to be attracted to the delicious food when you’re in an outdoor space. Just be mindful of that. We also enjoyed the steak shack, both the fish and steak were perfectly cooked. The octopus was super soft too. We loved Zez’s fish and eggplant as well! The dessert was SO delicious. We weren’t planning on it, but the waitress convinced us and we’re glad she did. Lastly, one thing to note: we had to take a cold shower the first night because we were SO impressed by the beauty of their tub, we decided to fill it to relax in first before jumping in the shower. We actually barely filled it to the middle, and started realizing the water was cold already. We thought we would have warm water soon, but after sitting in lukewarm water for about 35 minutes, we couldn’t handle it anymore, and when we messaged them about it, they said it takes at least 45 minutes for the water to heat up again if you run the bath. My issue is that this wasn’t communicated ahead of time. We didn’t get in till 8pm that night, so we were hoping to settle in/eat/ then take a hot bath/nice shower and go to bed. By the time we got in the bath it was almost 11, so I was falling asleep in the lukewarm tub just waiting for water to become hot again, which it took too long. I think the main issue is the design of the bath tub being way too big for practical use. You could probably fit 3-4 adults in there. It looks SO beautiful, and has an incredible view out to the pool etc, but just note the hot water availability issue. Overall, service was great, staff were friendly and on par with other FS properties we’ve been to. We also loved that they had a whole activity calendar for us, which other properties didn’t necessarily have. We can definitely see why this was ranked so highly amongst all the four seasons properties in the world! Highly recommend!
