Park Hyatt St. Kitts

We just returned from an incredible stay at the Park Hyatt St. Kitts, and I can't say enough good things about this property. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was a special place — the grounds were immaculate, every corner beautifully maintained, and the staff made us feel welcome from start to finish. Check-in set the tone for the entire trip. Novellene at the front desk had us checked in quickly and even took a moment to engage with my son, giving him some fish food so he could feed the koi near the lobby. After a 6-hour flight, watching him light up with excitement was exactly what we needed. Breakfast each morning at the Great House was a genuine highlight — fresh, delicious, and something we looked forward to every day. The concierge team was equally wonderful, helping us book golf and pickleball lessons with zero hassle. The Sugar Mill Spa deserves special mention. I had a deep tissue sports massage with Yeshim that was nothing short of transformative — she worked out weeks of tension in my neck and shoulders, and I left feeling like a new person. Our son had an amazing time at the Camp Hyatt kids club at Island Fort, where Kenya took wonderful care of him — he couldn't wait to go back each day. Over at the Recreation hut, CJ was fantastic, helping us with pool floats and patiently guiding us through two pickleball lessons. One moment really stood out: my son lost his bucket hat on day two, and between security and housekeeping, it was found and returned to us that same day — no small feat at a resort this size with so many guests to look after. Park Hyatt St. Kitts is a true gem on the far side of the island. We had a wonderfully relaxing vacation and are already looking forward to going back.

We have visited this property 3 times in the past 4 years. We previously reviewed the Park Hyatt St Kitts after a prior stay and shared how special and lovely this resort is. So, clearly we feel this is a very special section of paradise. This review is an update on what is new and what is better. Several reviews in past years mentioned issues with service and even food quality at some of the restaurants. The need for some refreshes to the physical property. The inconsistent service. We had seen these issues in the past as well, but none of it was enough to justify avoiding a repeat stay. So, what is the current update. Well, they have clearly done some refreshing but most noticeable is the improvement in service in every area of the hotel. The GM even reached out to us over a minor issue after we left and addressed that issue!! They are on their game and, while there can be lapses, you will also find those at any Ritz or Four Seasons. The food in all 3 restaurants is noticeably better. Actually, the food is quite good. Stone Barn, which used to be a fancy, fixed course tasting restaurant (and not very good at it) that didnt fit the Caribbean, is now a high end steak and seafood restaurant with regular menus and portions, and it shows the care, attention and vision of a true chef. Not a hotel chef, but a restaurant chef. We went twice. Fisherman's Village has always been good and consistent. The Great House, which was noted as very pricey and inconsistent is now solid across the menu...for dinner or breakfast. The landscaping on the property is exquisite as it has been enhanced and grown in over the years. The rooms (we prefer an ocean front suite) are large, private and well appointed. It is like your own private apartment. So, when a hotel tries to do better and achieves that, it is worth calling out. Job well done Park Hyatt St Kitts! On the "still to be done side", the gym (which is a highlight) shows a bit more wear and tear and several of the machines were often out of service. So, they need to address that because this is a capable gym and people will want to use it. Continued property infrastructure maintenance should stay on their radar. Especially with a new Ritz planned for the Island (we are also very loyal Ritz travelers), but based on its location The Ritz will not be able to achieve the cozy privacy of the Park Hyatt. It will likely be large and glitzy, but not beachy. However, it will be a viable competitor. So, the net is that the clear improvement in service and the restaurants, on top of the existing amazing location, access to Nevis and small feel of a beach front resort, makes this a hidden gem worth trying if you are looking to get away and chill. Not many like this. If you want action and endless night life, maybe wait for the Ritz. Highly recommend and we are planning our next trip.

The resort is beautiful and relaxing. The amenities are great. The only down side was that you needed a car if you wanted to go any where or get a taxi. It is out of the way. It is a great place for relaxing. Nevis is right across si you are able to get a water taxi to get you there in about 10 minutes.

Celebrating my birthday at the Park Hyatt St. Kitts was an incredible experience, largely due to the phenomenal staff. I consistently prioritize staying at Hyatt properties when I travel, and the team at this resort perfectly demonstrated why. The property itself is stunning, but five specific individuals truly went above and beyond to elevate the entire trip. T'Shonda & Michael (Front Desk): From the moment of arrival, T'Shonda and Michael set the tone for the stay. They were incredibly welcoming and efficient, handling every detail with warmth and professionalism. Additionally, their collaboration with my wife on setting up a boat cruise was spot-on and absolutely fantastic. Shermel & Watisha (Fisherman's Village): Dining and relaxing at Fisherman's Village were highlights, entirely thanks to Shermel and Watisha. Shermel is a fantastic bartender who crafts excellent drinks with great energy, and Watisha provided attentive, intuitive service that made every meal there an absolute pleasure. Alson (Bellhop): Alson was outstanding. Not only was he prompt and incredibly helpful with our luggage, but he also went out of his way to give my wife and me a comprehensive, guided tour of the property in a golf cart. He was highly informative, sharing great details about the resort, and always greeted guests with a genuine, welcoming attitude. This team represents the absolute best in hospitality. I highly recommend this property and look forward to returning!

What a beautiful property! The moment you step on the premises you are immersed into a new world, one that is relaxing and pleasant. The welcome you get makes you know instantly that you will have a hard time leaving. We stayed in the King Suite and it was amazing, very spacious and loved the fact that we could close off the bedroom from the living area where there is a queen sofa bed for our young kids. The staff were always pleasant and friendly and the food was delicious. Highly recommend,

This was by far the BEST vacation we took as a family. It didn’t feel like a trip but a true vacation for everyone, the parents and the kids. Everybody was able to rest, have fun, and find something to do. The kids pool is amazing. My kids enjoyed the kids club. Property is well maintained. If you have an opportunity to stay at the premium suite with the plunge pool, it’s a must. Food is good and fresh. They provided a lovely complimentary chocolate cake with prosecco to celebrate our anniversary. The place is incredibly family friendly. We highly recommend and look forward to returning.

My wife and I stayed for 6 nights on points ( Great value ) before the change coming up. We stayed in the last full week in April. The resort was relatively quiet. There was a work group there ( that mostly had their own events ) but otherwise not a lot of other people. The resort is isolated on the southern part of island .Taxi rides can be expensive as we chose not to rent a car. Getting to resort from airport was easy as we arranged it through the resort. They had our name on a card as we exited the terminal. That is so helpful especially to a place that we have not been before. Arranged by the hotel it was $60 one way. On way back, we arranged directly with taxi driver we met and it was $40. Nice mark-up for them. However, get used to the inflated prices if you stay here. Once at resort, the service was great. Every single person was so helpful. The resort can be confusing and associates when we were still trying to find our way around would say “ That me show you”. And walk us to location. Alexis at front desk was very helpful at check in/ out. We had breakfast each morning at the Great House. Since we were using a Guest of Honor and had globalist status for week it was included. Great views of the beach and Nevis. Not crowded , but at times food was slow coming out if ordered from menu. The Banana French toast was excellent. Had most mornings. No prices on menu so I can not say how much it would have been. We had no problems getting chairs at beach and seaweed was not bad so was able to enjoy that. The restaurants were very good. We ate at both Fisherman’s Village and Stone Barn. Special thank you to Terrence at Stone Barn for his great service celebrating our anniversary. Another shout out to Theo at Flemings for his great smoothies at breakfast and his rum tasting class. We ate off site at Spice Mill. ( walking distance about 10 minutes ). It was very good. I would make reservations for every dinner. On site and off. For on-site you can do it at the Great House Concierge desk. I would do once you arrive. Thanks Wycliff and Shareef for your help . If you book taxi’s from resort you can charge back to room so you won’t need extra cash for that. Usually same driver takes you back. My wife did the spa and that was underwhelming especially for this type of resort. Premium price for less services. They have a dock right on property and that made it is easy to take ferry ( Very quick )over to Nevis . I would recommend doing that if you get a chance. Pinney’s Beach was great and get a Killer Bee at Sunshine’s if there. We had a great time . Thanks Park Hyatt

We did a day pass here while on our cruise and had an amazing experience. The hospitality is wonderful. You cannot beat the captivating views of Nevis from the pool and beach. I have to mention the young lady by the name of Zica that served us while we were there. She made sure to keep our drinks full and has such an amazing personality that added to the experience at the resort.

This is a wonderful resort! It is so beautiful, and even at 90+% capacity it never felt crowded. The pools are so large and there were always chairs available. It was unlike other hotels where everyone saves chats at 7 am! The globalist breakfast benefit is wonderful, with access to a great Buffett, and the staff and service are great! We had two different rooms and they were both lovely. We will definitely return!

Nice resort. We went with our kids (three kids 5 and under). Although it's a quieter resort and seemed to be geared towards couples, we felt very welcomed with kids. There were multiple other families with young children. The pool and sand area by pool were great. There were floaties and beach toys available to use. The kids club was nice and our kids enjoyed it. The daily breakfast was fantastic. The sea had a seaweed problem when we were there so we did not spend much time at the beach. There is an adult only pool available if you desire. Rooms were clean and very spacious. My family of 5 comfortably stayed in a room with 2 queen beds.

Resort is very beautiful. We enjoyed our stay. As a Globalist the breakfast was very good deal. The beach and pool were nice. The issues we had were with service. It seemed like most requests (and we didn't have that many) we'd have to ask about 4+ times. Things like an extra blanket we never did get after 4 attempts. They need to be better at doing what they said they will do and following up to verify. It was very fustrating for this expensive of a hotel. We did have one significant issue which the manager took care of. He did an excellent job with it and showed what the service level should be for this hotel. Tips & suggestions: We used Tatem's Tours and Taxis to/from hotel. Highly recommended. We also added a stop at grocery store on the way which was very helpful. We prefer small meals/snacks sometimes and this saved us a lot of time and money. We enjoyed walking to Reggae Beach and ate there. Very good food and great price (for St. KItts). Had one meal at Fisherman's Village and really enjoyed it. If you are looking for conch shells, this is your place. Go to Reggae Beach and keep going. It is a little rocky walking but not bad. There were shells everywhere.

The Park Hyatt hotel is a great place for couples or families. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is exceptional and attentive to any and all of your needs. At the pool bar Gleniece and Emily were amazing. Also amazing are the concierge staff, they helped me with all my dinner reservations and transportation. Wyclef and Sharez went above and beyond setting up our nightly itinerary. I highly recommend this property and look forward to visiting again.
