JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar - Adults Only All Inclusive Resort

The Joia Paraiso is an excellent resort. The grounds, service, food, and facilities are all world class. Front lobby reception, bar, and coffee shop were all professional, fast, and excellent. The outdoor facilities/pool/spa/fitness center were clean, maintained, plenty of towels and water, and the little gym had a good amount of equipment and was close. The big gym had a lot of equipment but farther away – get a cart ride there. You can use the other Iberostar lobby/resort activities but they aren’t easily identifiable. The food – I MISS THE FOOD. The food in the buffet and restaurants was amazing, well prepared, huge number of different selections at each station (bakery, grill, vegetables, fruit, salad, salad topping/nuts, sushi, fish, meat, pizza/pasta, ceviche, cakes/tart and gelato/ice cream. One in our family is vegan, and every dinner or lunch a chef came out and discussed food options. This resort will custom cook meals for you to meet your dietary needs, and even your wants (yes I wanted a thick yellowtail tuna steak and the head chef made it for me.) The seafood is top quality, the chicken juicy, great cheeses, amazing fruit varieties (minimum 12 types), huge desert counter; the best gelatos outside Italy, huge salad bar….at first the varieties are overwhelming. The oceanfront butlers are amazing. Paola, Tomas, Angel, Mauro, Anna, Gabriel, Freddie, all did everything they could to make our stay perfect. Any request was handled very fast, and they showed concern to make sure we had everything we wanted. (We even asked if they could buy local toys for our grandkids as my wife didn’t want to leave the resort and we had puppets the next day. As I said amazing butlers! The entertainment team was exuberant, but the week we stayed was older clientele and there wasn’t much participation. We noticed the following week when we left was much younger (spring break?) so this may have been a one-off. The shows we saw were nice, but “resort average.” This was our 2nd trip and after a couple days back my wife is already talking about next year. There’s a reason this resort is rated so well.

A Wedding, A Celebration, Family, Friends, made for Another Unforgettable Stay at JOIA Paraíso by Iberostar Our recent 18-day stay at JOIA Paraíso by Iberostar in Riviera Maya was more than just a vacation — it was the setting for one of the most meaningful moments of our lives. Having visited multiple times before, we already loved this resort, but experiencing our wedding here elevated everything to an entirely new level. Arrival & First Impressions From the moment we arrived, we were reminded why we continue to return year after year. Despite a small customs delay due to the many wedding welcome bags we brought for our guests, our W2M transportation waited patiently, and the warm greeting upon arrival at the resort immediately made us feel at home. Every member of the staff greeted us as if we were family. The property looked better than ever — pristine landscaping, constant maintenance, and thoughtful upgrades throughout. The Star Prestige lounge featured beautiful new furnishings, and our room — one we’ve stayed in several times — felt like returning to our own beachfront home. The staff surprised us with roses, photos from previous trips, and a heartfelt congratulatory display in honor of our wedding. It was those personal touches that truly set the tone for our stay. The Wedding Experience Choosing JOIA Paraíso for our destination wedding was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. The beach ceremony was absolutely stunning. As Sue walked across the sand toward me, nothing else mattered — though we were later told many guests had gathered to watch. It was the perfect setting on the beach, between buildings 70 and 71. They set the chairs and the ceremony altar up as if they were from a magazine. The cocktail hour overlooking the pool at sunset was beautifully arranged, complete with a live saxophonist. From the balcony, you looked over the main pool and then onto the ocean. Everyone said the food was remarkable. Our reception dinner at the quiet pool was flawless. The food stations were abundant and constantly replenished — in fact, we may have selected more than necessary because the presentation was overflowing in the best way possible. The chefs and staff were overseeing everything and ensuring nothing ran out. We hired a DJ, MC, and florist and added an LED dance floor (a tip for future couples: if you expect a larger crowd, consider sizing up). We had sparklers go off at the end of our first dance, and a giant S & P (for Sue and Pete) that was light-up. The music kept everyone dancing all night, with blow-up instruments, light-up wrist bracelets, and light-up sunglasses. and even guests from the resort sat on surrounding cabanas to enjoy the celebration. Some that we knew, even made their way onto the dance floor by the end of the evening. For anyone considering a destination wedding, I cannot recommend this property enough. The organization, setting, and staff execution were exceptional. Our wedding planner Joyce took care of everything. Romantic Beach Dinner One of the most special evenings of our stay was the Romantic Beach Dinner, gifted to us by dear friends. Held in the exact spot where we exchanged our vows, it provided a peaceful and intimate moment after two weeks of celebration. A candlelit teepee overlooking the ocean, rose petals, soft lighting, and the sound of waves created an unforgettable atmosphere. The multi-course dinner was outstanding — lobster tails, beef carpaccio, scallops, seafood terrine, perfectly cooked tenderloin, decadent chocolate cake, and tequila cream coffee to finish. The service was flawless, and the ambiance was simply magical. We have enjoyed this experience on prior trips and highly recommend it for any special occasion. Wine tasting and food pairing This was an extra charge for a dinner with wine pairing. The Butlers were asking anyone in buildings 70 and 71 if they would like to participate for an extra charge to have dinner in the wine room, which is inside the Mexican restaurant, the Sommelier and the chef hosted it. It was Mexican wines with Mexican food, and nothing on the Mexican restaurant's menu. This was a fantastic evening. There were four couples in total in the room. I guess that room can fit five couples. The Sommelier started with a history of the Sommelier job, which was quite interesting. We started out with chips, beans, and cheese, which was delicious. Then  our first course was King Crab stuffed in a pepper; it wasn't that spicy at all. They paired that with a Mexican sparkling wine, and the two went together amazingly well. Then the next one was a real surprise; we had duck breast in a tortilla with mole sauce on top. We paired that with a light Chardonnay, and it went extremely well. I would’ve thought we would have paired that with a red, but that’s why these guys are professionals; they really know their stuff. Next course was 4 baby lamb chops, which were great. They paired that with the Mexican 3V blend of reds, which had a nice touch to it. I was almost stuffed at this point when they brought out a lobster tail over a bit of vegetables. There was some sauce I can’t remember that had the consistency of mashed potatoes, but it was light green, and it was really good. Then, later, they brought out another red, a Cabernet, which had a slightly better taste than the 3V. For dessert, we had the best, creamiest vanilla ice cream I've ever had on top of chocolate lace, and then they called it a crème brûlée with a peanut-butter taste. This dessert could only be described as decadent. We finished that off with a tequila infused with almonds, over ice. What a great flavor. Everyone had met for the first time, and we had some great conversations. We learned about the food in the pairings, and a wonderful time was had by all. I was a little too busy, enjoying myself to take pictures, but I did take some. The cost to attend was $145 per couple, really worth it. Dining Highlights during the trip Dining throughout the resort continues to impress: • Embers Steakhouse delivered an incredible group dinner experience, featuring bone marrow, braised rib, lobster tail, and exceptional service even with a large party. • The updated Mexican restaurant menu is a must-try. The SIKILPAK (traditional Yucatán pumpkin seed dip), Aztec soup, three-chili beef tenderloin, and lobster al pastor were standout dishes. The authentic flavors and knowledgeable staff made it one of our favorite evenings. • The intimate Chef’s Lunch at Star Prestige Beach was another highlight. Chef Yadhir’s dumplings and shrimp lo mein with Thai sweet chili sauce were extraordinary. With only eight seats available, it’s an exclusive experience best shared with friends. Atmosphere & Community Beyond the food and events, what truly makes JOIA Paraíso special is the people. The staff consistently treats guests with warmth and sincerity. Even after multiple visits, they remember our names and welcome us back as family. We have had many butlers over the years who have been amazing: Gabriel, Fatima, Carolina, Ruben, Manuel, Mario, and Angel. Yet, this year we had a new butler, Paola, who was absolutely amazing. She was organized, professional, efficient, and always there for us. On our wedding day, she had everything organized for the Bride and the bridesmaids in our room, for the groomsmen in another room, and for me. She was the best butler we have had in any resort, and we have had some great butlers in the past. Over the years, we have formed lasting friendships with fellow members — what we affectionately call our “Iberostar family.” Sharing long dinners filled with laughter, bottles of wine, mezcal tastings, and evenings at the lobby bar created memories that go far beyond a typical resort stay. You form a very special bond with the people that you choose to vacation with, time and time again. Waking up each morning to sunrise over the Riviera Maya coastline remains one of our favorite rituals. Each day feels like a new beginning, and there is no better setting to appreciate it than being in building 70 or 71 on the beach. You can also go down to the beach and experience it, but some mornings, just lying in bed with the curtains open and experiencing the first glow of light as it starts to fill the room, followed by the most magnificent colors of red and orange that your eyes have ever seen, is the best way to start the day. Final Thoughts JOIA Paraíso continues to exceed our expectations in every way — service, cuisine, ambiance, and attention to detail. What began as a membership decision for better room rates has evolved into something much more meaningful: friendships, celebrations, and memories that will last a lifetime. If you are considering a destination wedding, romantic getaway, or simply a place where you feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated, JOIA Paraíso by Iberostar is truly exceptional. We had another great stay at Joia. From cold towels at check in, to organizing our next visit at check out, everyone was wonderful. Our butlers, Karolina, Rueben, Bejimin and Gustavo, took care of everything. Dinners, ice, coffee tea, different pillows! They were there every time we had any requests. On the beach Humberto and Rodrigo were running (in the hot sun) making us our favourite cocktails. The best part is the food. The buffet at breakfast and lunch is a masterpiece. Josue & Leonardo welcomed us daily. Our best experience was at the Italian restaurant. We repeated 3 times. My spouse and I have made approximately 4 trips to this particular resort. The resort itself spares no expense in beauty and professional, friendly staff that thrives in excellence and detail. We’ve been to this area approximately 50 times in the past 30 years and would rate this location as one of the best I’d like to thank the Iberostar staff for making this resort stand out above the rest, and make a vacation experience exceptional. My husband and I have been visiting this resort almost every year since it opened…we say many times each visit “this never grows old” . We usually stay in building 70 or 71 because of the gorgeous view. We decided to stay in a villa this year. It was an amazing. There’s plenty of room in the beautifully decorated villa, a huge bathroom , private pool and two bikes to each villa. We didn’t think we could feel any more at home this resort, but the villa is truly a home away from home. Service is top notch from the butlers, servers and wonderful from desk staff. The shows are amazing. Every year a bit different. I’d say everyone should visit this resort just once, but that won’t happen because once will not be enough, You’ll be return guests as most people we met there are.

We spent 10 days at this extroardinary resort - February 9 to 19 in building 70 oceanfront butler category - and highly recommend it for many reasons. We’ll highlight a few; First, the staff team is first rate, professional, caring and attentive to every detail, and always looking to improve and enhance the guest experience. That starts with leadership. Manager Fernando oversaw our experience superbly as did his capable team Sofia and Paulina. Our transfer, check in and orientation were flawless and we were on the beach by 1pm. The ultimate. The management team checked in on us several times during our stay and asked questions about how to improve, suggestions, recommendations etc. They listened and truly took our feedback as a means by which they could even better their high standards. The butler team of Karolina, Adrian and Benito were professional, warm, capable and attentive - always.They were attentive to detail, engaging and spoiled us rotten with catering to our big and small requests. Special note to Karolina who followed up constantly, ensured everything was perfect at all times and who did her utmost repeatedly to dazzle and delight us - with a smile and extreme professional competence. She went above and beyond and truly made our stay extra special. Special note to Ruben and Fernando and the team in building 70 who always provided good cheer, a kind word and a warm smile. Hugo coordinated our excursions very capably and also helped stick handle a small issue at the end of our stay with generosity and diligence. Rounding out the staff team, Daniel coordinated a beautiful Valentine’s evening that was memorable and top shelf on every measure. We loved having our custom smoothies attentively made every day with a smile and also our custom coffees crafted for us with care. Staff throughout our stay would engage with us and say hello and any time we had a room service delivery it was professionally and warmly provided. Beverage service on the beach was well managed as was all food & drink services throughout the property. We enjoyed three excursions and transport was capably overseen by Ricardo. Whenever we would visit the other 4 resorts nearby (say, to see the flamingos!) the drivers were cheerful and engaging and positive, again reinforcing the lovely tone provided by every single staff member we encountered on the property. Second, on to the facillities. Wow. Everything is immaculate and mint. Our suite was wonderful and overlooked the pristine beach that afforded plenty of loungers and spaces to relax. Turn down service, cleaning service were perfection. We enjoyed the quiet pool several times also and also the spa pool and facilities, including the steam room and sauna. The lobby and interior and exterior gardens are awe inspiring. The vibe is luxury, opulence and beauty that actually stunned us at times. The ultimate enviornment to unwind and truly relax nestled in magnificence. Third, the dining experience. We enjoyed the French, Italian, Mexican and Gala buffets, immensely. Room service was very high quality and warmly delivered. To forego issues with wait times, we would dine early at 6pm or later at 8pm or enjoy a beverage in the beautiful spaces. Fourth, the evening shows. Wow. The fireshow was outstanding! We attended three other shows that were incredible to enjoy - very professional and top tier entertainment. The shows were of the best caliber we have experienced in over 20 years of travelling. In summary, we endorse Joia Paraiso highly and can’t wait to go back. It is our GO TO across every measure!

The activities she organizes are so much fun and the shows are absolutely amazing. She kept us entertained the entire time! The rest of the staff was also extremely attentive and friendly. My wife and I had a great time for our honeymoon! Resort was pretty close to cancun, so we werent on the road from airport too long and the whole place was beautiful. There was lots to eat, lots to do, beautiful pools and beach, the architecture was very cool, and there were lots of beautiful animals outside the buildings. Lots of great things to admire. The room was amazing! The villas had a private pool and "backyard" we had a tub, shower and 2 sinks plus a counter for my wife to do makeup. The rooms were cleaned 2 times a day and they regularly gave us more snacks, the beds were made differently ever day but it was always very nice. We were also able to get anything for the free minifridge that we asked for! We werent too far away from the main pool so around noon time we could hear music playing from the pool but it wasnt too loud or annoying, it was actually really pleasant. Reducing it 1 star because they asked us to sit through a sales pitch to get reduced pricing for future visits, but at least we got free massages out of it. Best part was the butler service! Benjamin and Gustavo were amazing and were able to handle anything we needed!

We have been staying at Iberostar resorts since 2002 and became Black Club members in 2019. We joined because we were exclusively staying at their resorts anyway and the Club memberships are a fantastic way to truly make the most of a vacation there. This year my husband and I went solo and made it a true romantic anniversary getaway. As always the club reached out early to find out what extras we might want or need. One great benefit of the Black Club membership is that you get free transportation to and from the airport. We could order 4 wine/alcohol options for our room. Complimentary massage or 9 holes of golf daily. The Club sets it all up for you. They have a terrific staff and this year Grecia, Anselmo and Bogart were our hands on team. Everyone was so helpful and welcoming. We always book an ocean front suite - the view is worth the entire price of the vacation. The sunrise was sensational every day. Gaspar was our first Iberostar employee to greet us upon our arrival and last when we left and he made sure we had a smooth transition of luggage and us to and from the lobby. Our check in was super quick and the ocean front rooms are spectacular. We were so grateful to the entire butler staff but spent most of our time with Ana, Fernanda, Karolina, Ruben and Benito. Spoiled is an understatement. These people are so accessible, knowledgeable and patient, anything you want or need they graciously help and make you feel extra special. We celebrated our anniversary this trip and we returned one night to our room decorated with rose petals, champagne on ice and chocolates courtesy of our butler team. It was a wonderful surprise and just one small kindness of many during our trip. We did one specialty restaurant the Ember which is a surf and turf style menu. The service and food were outstanding. Our waiter Samuel made our experience there unforgettable. All of the speciality restaurants are spectacular but we really are buffett people - each night a different theme. The food selection is huge and really caters to absolutely everyone. We loved our hostesses Sandra and Alejandra as well as so many of the wait staff Angel, Luis, Leonardo, Daniel, Flora, Dano, Samuel, Carlos and more. We also got to know Abel the Buffett manager who checked in with us regularly to make sure we were 100% plus satisfied. The resort has terrific shows every night and the Star performers did meet and greets throughout the resort often in their show costumes trying to entice you to attend the show. We didn’t attend many events this year but have never been disappointed in the past. The shows are entertaining and the performers are all so talented. A special shout out to Mala, Alma,Johnathan and Fabian from the group! Lastly a special thank you to all of the staff that keep the lights on, the grounds beautiful and the housekeepers that make sure your room is just right, thanks Beatriz. I know my review is a bit long and lots of names and I missed a ton but just consider Iberostar for your favorite vacation ever - you will go back time and again just like we have.

Check in is fast. Very convenient bracelet with a room key. We had a room a main building. Hotel is beautiful, Rooms are spacious. Minibar is fully stacked. There was a gift of Tequila bottle waiting for us in a room. Have to mention - for this type of hotel - bedding should be upgraded, especially pillows. Room & bathroom are very clean and housekeeping was twice a day. We did not use room service though menu is very extensive. Restaurants - just a WOW! Every restaurant is impressive, but buffet was were we end up after each - if not to eat, just to look (as funny as it sounds). Seafood was in abundance and everything one could imagine. Meat = every kind and cut you might wish for. I enjoyed very much assortment of fresh fruit. Grounds maintained very well. I did not encounter any bugs and not many wild creatures. There 2 pools with whirlpools available. Smaller pool is warmer and quieter. Whirlpools are very warm. Towels one can take a many as you want. All lounge chairs come with a padded mattress. Around the pools there are many cabanas and we did not have problems to get one when wanted. Wait staff is all around and brings you drinks and water when you want some. Food as available as well though we did not order it. Beach - plenty of shade and places to rest. Access to the water without stones is available with a short walk. There is a restaurant on a beach if you want some food. few names to mention- Sofia - concierge service - we were a group of 20 for dinners and she organized big tables for us though prior reservation was not in cards. We are very thankful for such service. Valerie - head of food concierge - she went far and beyond to make sure that our group and birthday person had the best service. She was presented almost every evening and introduced us to every chef who cooked that evening. Made our get together very memorable. Paulina - front desk manager made sure that our check in was seamless. Rooms are close to each other and for birthday day room was decorated with flowers, champagne and dessert. Entertainment - very colorful and joyful. Looks very professional. There are places to walk outside the resort and complex is huge, consistent of 5 resorts. There are many activities to participate in.

We recently stayed at JOIA Paraíso by Iberostar, and as Double Black members of the Star Prestige Club who typically visit twice a year, we feel especially connected to this resort and its team. We would like to share that this was truly one of the best stays we have ever experienced. What made it so exceptional was the Star Prestige team. Even though many team members are new, Laura’s return has made a tremendous difference—she is truly the heart and core of the team. Every time we had a question or requested even the smallest change, the team responded immediately and with genuine care. Each member clearly understood their role and worked seamlessly together to ensure that our stay was comfortable, smooth, and enjoyable from beginning to end. The attention to detail was remarkable. From the thoughtful welcome-back notes and the beautiful flowers in our rooms to the special arrangements that made my sister’s birthday so memorable, everything felt personal and heartfelt. It is this level of care that keeps us coming back year after year. We just returned from a 7-day stay at Joia Paradiso in Mexico and it was incredible. Our room was extremely big, always clean, close to the pools and the beach. The staff, especially our Iberostar the Club representative, David M, were incredibly welcoming. The beach itself was clean and private, with plenty of loungers. Food was amazing, we didn't need reservation for the restaurants and no wait time to get in. Definitely, a must-visit for a relaxing getaway!

It was around our 10th time there. 70 building second floor. Bellbstaff amazing. Check in quick and flawless. Carolina, Benjamin, Fatima, and all of our other Butlers were very attentive, wonderful and helpful. Mala, Monserat and Raymundo the best Star Friends at the pool. Fun, very conversational and kept things entertaining. Elizabeth was always there to help with your pool, Cabana and other pool needs. Always special to see here there. Leticia and other drink servers very attentive. Pool Cabanas go quickly after 7:30 on nice days. Almost always Palapas available on beach. Grounds beautiful and constantly being groomed. Ladies kept sleeping rooms clean and well stocked. Some of room furniture could use some updating, mostly refinishing, but was adequate for longer stay. Electrical outlets need to be added so they are on either side of bed. More on food later.

If you are debating visiting this resort, STOP! I am still in awe of the vacation my husband and I just experienced at Joia. Everything was absolutely perfect. The resort is immaculate. Clean on another level. It literally sparkles. The food is so incredibly good. The buffet was amazing! The Italian restaurant was so good but Ember steak house was our favourite. Samuel was the best and so attentive. The bacon wrapped filet, insane. The pools are beautiful and well kept. Towels and chairs are plentiful. The grounds in general are just so spectacular. If you have a chance to select the butler suit walk out, DO IT. This was more than I could have dreamed of. Waking each day to a beautiful sunrise and walking right out into the white sand beach was an experience I will never forget. The butler team of Benjamin, Fatima, Adrian, Ruben, Ana and Karolina were beyond kind and helpful. They really enhanced our experience and we were happy to see their smiling faces every day. Thanks to Rolando as well. He helped us book a reservation at a sister resort and was just a really upbeat and super guy. I would return to this resort tomorrow if I could. But for now I will dream about floating in the quiet pool with a mango margarita in hand.

We had the best time on our mom/daughter getaway to JOIA last week! The resort was beautiful, the service amazing, restaurants all exceptional, and top shelf alcohol at the bars! The staff went over and above to make our stay extra special. Ruben and Ana were our butlers and they went over and above to make our stay in building 70 the best experience ever! Alma and Hilario from the entertainment team were so funny and kind and kept things fun at the pool each day! Our driver Leonardo was so helpful in helping us to navigate this huge property! Golf carts with drivers are available any time you need them! Joel, our server at the Italian restaurant served us twice and was the best server and kindest person. He made our experience so exceptional that we came back a second time! Lastly, Eli and Ricardo from Bell services were wonderful and made our arrival and departure seamless! We will definitely return!

My husband and I went to JOIA Paraíso by Iberostar in December 2025. Overall we had a great time and definitely recommend it! I just want to point out the one downside up front instead of burying it further down: the average age of guests here is about 65 to 70. So if you are a younger couple looking for a party atmosphere, late night activities, or to make friends with people your age, this may not be the resort for you. Just as an example, my husband and I were at the bar at midnight one night and were the only ones there. But if you are fine with this, then everything else was great! Room: We had a 2nd floor (which is the main level) suite overlooking the quiet pool and the room very nice. Staff come and clean and restock your room every day and then turn down the bed in the evening. Our favorite part was the balcony overlooking the pool with a big swing seat and couch. Food: The JOIA Paraíso has 5 restaurants (Italian, French, Japanese, Mexican, Steak/Seafood) plus a buffet and beach restaurant and bar open for lunch. The food at all of them was great! Don’t expect Michelin star quality but it was very good for a big resort. Honestly the buffet was one of our favorites, they had great food for every meal. The only thing you have to make a reservation for is the hibachi grill in the Japanese restaurant, which was fully booked so we could not make a reservation. You can also go to any restaurant at any of the other connected resorts. Restaurants are only open certain days of the week, so make sure you check the app. Pool and beach: There are two pools at JOIA Paraíso - a quiet pool and an activity pool. Both are very nice! The quiet pool is very peaceful and relaxing, but even the activity pool isn’t crazy (unlike the Lido pool at one of the connected resorts). At the activity pool they play music, have a few activities throughout the day and have a swim up bar. The beach is also very nice with plenty of chairs. Servers come around and take your drink orders on the beach also. However, the best part of the beach is that all the way at the edge of the property, locals have set up two massage stands and you can get a massage right on the beach for less than half of the cost of a massage at the resort spa. Do it!!! Service: All the service was great. I read a lot of complaints about you getting continually bombarded by people trying to sell you a time share. The concierge desk did try to sell us hard on attending a brunch for the time share once, but we said no and then just didn’t go back to the concierge desk and didn’t get bothered again. Shows/Activities: The app is great at showing you all the activities and shows going on each day. You can also see the shows and activities going on at the connected resorts. Our favorite activity we did was a tequila and mezcal tasting and our favorite show was the fire show (get there early for a good seat, it’s the most popular show). There are also lots of group gym classes.

this resort is immaculate and location is beautiful. Staff is top notch and friendly with excellent service. We had an ocean view room and a balcony. Butlers provided great service. Comfortable chairs were provided for the beach and pool areas with plenty of towels, drink service was very good. There were plenty of cuisine choices with high quality food although there were numerous times we noticed items on the buffet were not being kept hot or warm and were at room temperature. We did get solicited several times for the breakfast to learn about the travel club, this became annoying, ask once and then just stop! The resort has an ap with some useful information but it it kind of clunky and needs improvement. There is nightly entertainment at a very nice theater on the property, entertainment was better than what we have typically seen at resorts.

We came to this resort for second time within two years. Both times in January, even weather is changeable, but still great. The resort itself is spectacular, very quiet, unbelievable clean. The beach is very well maintained , we had a few days seaweed but resort is doing great job to clean it. The huge pool is also in perfect condition Apart for having great food, nice restaurants, astonishing buffet, I cannot be thankful enough for personnel. Our butlers Benjamin, Fatima and Anna provided great feeling of being taken care on very high standard. Great people, friendly, professional and amazingly always available. Any requests or concerns are taking care of immediately, either way - information, fixing broken safe, inter resort transportation, spa reservation, anything.. Thanks again to them for making great vacation. In our previous visit, i needed a doctor help. The butlers handled it minutes.(resort has medical staff and ambulance 24/7, who would know without them). There is something minor what resort could pay attention, such as week or dead WIFI on the beach or generally outside of the room. I think some bars, snack stations, coffee shops located closer to the beach would be great. Not all restaurants open every day, its not big deal just FYI. But great buffet available everyday. My overall experience is great, even on comparison with neighbor resorts where we stayed before, such as Valentine and Secret. The worse part is price - the panoramic ocean front suite is quite expensive, but from another hand, there is no such thing offered in proximity.

This is our second year at Joia Paraiso in the Iberostar resort complex and we will definitely return. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and the food is delicious at the sumptuous buffet and 5 themed restaurants. Guests at Joia, the nicest of the 5 resorts, can eat at any of the other resorts. While we enjoyed our daily walks through all the resorts, it was hard to leave the excellent cuisine at Joia. The rooms Joia are large with a seating area and oversized bath. We enjoyed a beach front balcony with couch and basket pod swing for two. Other rooms open onto interior or pool areas. The beach and pool areas are well- appointed with lots of seating and cabanas. The beverage and butler service are very good, not intrusive but ever ready to meet your needs. There are activities of every type each day and evening. While we did not engage in the water sports and competitions we had a lot fun cheering on contestants as they competed at the giant Joia pool and the pools at the 4 other contiguous Iberostar resorts. There is also a large quiet pool that is serene as well as an indoor pool and gym facilities. (Spa service are separate.) The landscaping and architecture of the entire Iberostar complex is stunning. Definitely a luxurious experience. I saw the review that complained about the reviewer’s experience with the Iberostar Prestige membership presentations. Obviously, if you know you don’t want the membership, don’t go to the presentations. We never attended any presentations and did not feel pressured to do so. All in all, this is a luxury resort that is well worth the price.
