Fun family vacation!

My family and I had a good time at this resort! We landed at Cancun airport and the transfer ride to the resort took around 40 mins. The land the resort sits on is pretty and full of nature (palm trees, various plants, coati, agouti, etc) and the rooms were nice and clean. The rooms have AC, hot water with a spacious shower, a safe, extra fleece blankets if you get cold at night, balcony, reliable wifi, TVs that you can log into your Netflix on - all of which we appreciated greatly. The beach was beautiful with clear water and minimal if any seaweed. There are plenty of chairs at the beach and spots can be found in the sun and shade alike. There is music playing around the main pool area during most of the day so if that bothers you I would recommend the adult pool or further down the beach instead. They have live music and parties at night that could, at times, be heard from our room so that may bother you if you like to go to sleep earlier. You can eat at the buffet, snack bar (has things like hotdogs, burgers, pizza, fries, etc), cafe, and restaurants by reservation. The buffet is your average mass produced food and there is plenty of options to choose from. The restaurants were good - we like the cosmopolitan one the best. The staff were very friendly for the most part - housekeeping, bar staff, food service staff, etc. We, like many Canadian guests, do not speak Spanish and the staff did their best to communicate with guests no matter the language. They regularly explain things in Spanish and English, French too sometimes. The nighttime shows were quite entertaining - we went to the the rock one and the Vegas one. One of the best parts of our trip was definitely the animation team who put on activities to do each day. Sexy Wil, Stephanie, Valentina, Jair, Ronaldo, and everyone else on the animation team brought so much energy, enthusiasm, and humour into every activity they ran. The cocktail class and cooking class were so fun! Overall the highlights were definitely the beach, nature surroundings, and animation team for us!

This resort was wonderful it is a smaller resort . The pool bar staff remembered our drinks from the first day animation shows at night were great we did 3 al a carts the best one was Italian beach gorgeous with lots of loungers

Absolutely amazing experience, this is our third time at Viva Maya and we will definitely be returning next year! Ismael went above and beyond and made the BEST spicy mango margaritas on the resort!

A wonderful resort. Great location with terrific food. Our housekeeper Bartolome, was particularly noteworthy. He was always pleasant and eager to please the guests. The wifi coverage would be my only complaint.

From the helpful staff to green water views of reivera Maya, from entertainment options within all inclisuve to ample options of food, despite us being on Halal diet, and were able to eat only few things but still manageable... a lot of things met our expectations.
