Ladera Resort

Private, Romantic, and magical location. We stayed here in rainbow suite H for our honeymoon January 16-22nd. Every room has fantastic views. The staff was wonderful-- one the gardeners brought us fresh coconuts and cut them for coconut water. The rooms are clean and beautiful. The trail was lovely. The restaurant is delicious. We saw a rainbow or double rainbow every morning. You will not be disappointed with the beauty and peacefulness of this resort. This is a perfect place for any romantic trip including baby moons (I saw lots of cute pregnant couples). You may be wondering about the glamping style sleeping situation. I have insomnia, but I was able to sleep well because the pool waterfalls mask noise. Some of the rooms are two story and may not mask noise as well, so maybe bring a noise machine if you're an extra light sleeper like me. They provide earplugs too. You have a mosquito net for the bed, but bring bug spray and loose, light, beachy panys/long sleeves for evening and mornings. They provide natural bug spray, but it was no help for me. It worked great for my husband. They do sell deet and basic meds in the store, but I'd bring some next time. Even with the itching, I had a wonderful time. I'd come back and plan on it! About driving: We called for rides and Ladera made that incedibly easy. The drivers know the rough roads and terrain. I wouldn't rec renting a car unless your comfortable with small and perilous roads. It was actaully less expensive to get rides to Anse Chastanet and excursions. Loved the superman falls and piton hikes-- we booked these through the resort as one needs a guide for almost every hike.

Our stay at Ladera exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Even before we arrived, Yvette in the concierge office was incredibly helpful coordinating details and making everything feel seamless. At the airport, Vaughn made meeting our transfer easy, and the reception team at Ladera was warm, professional, and welcoming. Our butler, Theo, was excellent — helping with bags and even shuttling us around the property one evening in the Moke when my wife was wearing heels. Dining at Dasheene was consistently fantastic. The wait staff remembered us night to night, and Akim went above and beyond by bringing out the best wine glasses from the wine room when we ordered a bottle. The spa at Élevé was outstanding, and we really enjoyed time at the Hideaway Bar, especially meeting Hilarious. Outside the resort, the Soufrière volcano tour and mud baths exceeded expectations and were a highlight of the trip. The room was incredible. The three-walled, open-air design was exactly what we expected and loved — the breeze, the views, and the connection to nature were all exceptional. Throughout the resort and on excursions, everyone was kind, respectful, and we felt completely safe. Ladera is a truly special place, and St. Lucia left a lasting impression on us. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it for a romantic and unforgettable getaway.

This was such a magical week in St.Lucia! The views from our room were just stunning. The room itself was very comfortable, beautiful pool, well stocked mini fridge and bathroom. We hiked the steep trail to the yoga platform 2X, the panoramic views were beautiful. We enjoyed morning yoga on the pool deck (shout out to the instructor, he was great and funny), every breakfast was as fabulous, delish cocktails, room service dinner in our room at sunset between swimming and was perfect. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We took several excursions- highlight was the ATV tour! Check out The Chocolate Project across the street. Google it. Fun spot with yummy unique milkshakes. *mosquitoes are no joke here! Wear bug spray!

Nothing can beat the view from the rooms. The free shuttle to Malgrétoute Beach and Sugar Beach make it easy to enjoy the ocean and beach within a 5-10 minute ride. If you want simple and just want to go to the sulfur springs and get in the mud without a big tour it’s only $15 to taxi there and back and $10 per person to get in. The hotel gives you a cell phone to take with you anywhere you go so if you do get a taxi anywhere you just call the hotel and tell them when you’re ready to come back. Everyone was so friendly and had a smile on their face and made it so welcoming and some even called us by our names the entire time. The rooms were clean and it felt like every time I left the room I came back to everything refreshed and replaced. Soda, beer and mineral water always stocked in the fridge and a Nespresso machine with full water for every morning. Not a single person pressured or hinted at any type of tip but of course we always tipped very well because everyone always did a fantastic job. All meals were delicious and fresh and the cocktails and smoothies very vibrant. Definitely walk the property and the trails to the tree house it took us around 2 hours but we went slow and looked at all the plants, fruit trees, outdoor gym, the 300 year old mango tree, the greenhouse and garden. It never felt packed or busy and we were always quick to be served but enjoy that slow island time you are meant to enjoy everything and that means slowing down. We were nervous about not having A/C and it being too warm but there was a ceiling fan and an additional standing fan and I actually used a comforter every night it was perfect. They light two slow burning mosquito repellent incense for you every night in your room when you’re at dinner so when you get back there’s no bugs and then a net around the bed for while you sleep. If I could rate Ladera any higher than perfect I would.

Ladera has it all! The grounds are beautifully kept and the views are gorgeous! We hiked to the yoga platform with a view of the Pitons most days and spent time relaxing at the tree house. The Thursday night fish fry is a must!! Get the Lobster - thank me later! The staff at Ladera are warm and welcoming. The moment we arrived and loaded up in the Moke, Schol showed us around the property and to our room. Schol along with Darrel checked in each day and took great care to ensure we had an amazing trip. We spent 2 fun nights at The Hideaway hanging out with Hilarious and had the best time. He had great recommendations for rum and snacks to try. Everyone is so friendly and ensures that you enjoy your time while you are at Ladera. Our room was absolutely incredible and we loved the open air experience. The incense at night kept the bugs away and I enjoyed my early mornings as sunlight crept in. We had breakfast each day in the room and it was always delivered on time and warm, with delicious breads and pastries. Dasheene, the resort restaurant is where we ate dinner every evening. The food is excellent and we had something new at every meal. Friday night of our trip there was also a great local band playing. The concierge at the resort helped us set up all of our reservations including a sunset catamaran cruise and the Soufriere Experience, I highly recommend both. Go to the mud baths early- they will be less crowded before the cruise ship passengers arrive and it is so calm and actually relaxing. The Botanical gardens were lovely and the cold waterfall is a great experience. The spa at Ladera was one of my favorite mornings. The facilities are brand new and gorgeous. I had a coconut scrub and massage treatment followed by a relaxing time at the beautiful pool. While we found so many fun things to do, the pool and lounge chairs in the room provided a great hang out spot and perfect view every afternoon as the sun set. Ladera is such a special place and we cannot wait to be back!

We stayed at Ladera over Christmas which also included our 25th wedding anniversary with our daughters. Will say it’s breathtaking. The boutique resort of about 30-35 rooms provides a great laid back vibe with best of the best views, amenities, people and overall experience. We travel a lot and this was different than anything else you would consider 5 star. Open air concept to the rainforest which gets 160” of rain annually. You have 2 solid walls, 1 wall closed off with open slat windows for the breeze and 1 side fully open to the rain forest that is nestled between the two pitons and the Caribbean ocean. Postcards do the view no justice. That’s how spectacular the view is. You sleep in a plush bed with mosquito netting surrounding the bed. True “glamping” at its best. Wake up to the rain forest and the pitons was out of this world. Oh and no AC and I will say it wasn’t needed during our stay. Rooms were great, bathrooms very well done with amazing wood work and a private pool in our room which was slightly heated to the perfect temp and views to die for!! Sunsets amazing, food was great and excursions were all booked at the resort with great travel arrangements they handled for us. The rum bar/ speak easy layout was a gem. Chef Nigel and the food staff were on point. Breakfast, lunch poolside and dinner we did at the resort many of our days and all delicious. The spa was facing the volcano side of the island so the view was different but all so good and spectacular. Staff and services at the spa from hello was top notch. Spend the day at the spa, it is easy to do. For our anniversary we did the couples harmony spa day and it was spectacular with the massage time, our own private pool served with champagne and chocolate strawberries was amazing. The main spa pool was great to spend an afternoon and the food was amazing. The spa staff was great. They have a nature trail walk which is a great climb and amazing views once you reach the top. Great yoga platform overlooking the pitons was pretty cool. So food, spa, rooms, amenities, and excursions all covered and amazing! Now to the staff. So many to name and I actually had a lot of the departments write down names so I could call them all out but the list is too long. I will say this. They know your name during your stay and they all from the gardeners and ground guys to the head managers all truly want to make your stay amazing. The ladies at the front desk day and night made our trip 5 star. Handled all our requests and needs. They will take amazing care of you. To all the staff, thank you! Our trip was everything we had hoped. And the whole staff will know who wrote this review because they took the time to know us and I wanted to know about them also. Can’t wait to come back. From the guests in room O and P we can’t wait to see you all again.

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon. We did the peak to beach package. When you walk into your room and see that amazing view of the pitons, it doesn’t even feel real! The whole stay, the view was just out of this world! We felt this was the perfect, romantic, intimate stay we needed for our honeymoon. This was our first time in an open air room and we enjoyed it! The hotel does offer insect repellent to use during your stay there. If you are a light sleeper, bring some ear plugs as some nights the tree frogs were very loud. Other nights it was just regular nature noises! The service was outstanding. Our butler would call and check on us to make sure we were doing okay. He was great at helping get excursions booked and very prompt! The restaurant was amazing as well and me and my husband enjoyed the food (he is a picky eater). We enjoyed the nature walk that the resort offers! We also loved our couple massage! The heated pool was perfect for us and we were in and out of it all day! All the staff was so friendly! I can’t say enough good things about our stay there! We would definitely come back!

We went for 5 days and stayed in room N. A Ladera employee met us at the airport and put us in our own nice new air conditioned cab for the 45 minute ride there. Ladera staff took our luggage and put it in our room while a host gave us a welcome drink then gave us a mini tour and told us about all the amenities: the pool, the restaurant, the studio with the in residence artist who has carved all the wood around the resort, the game room with ginormous TV, pool and ping pong tables, the hammocks, the gym, the trail around the property with the treehouse in a 300 year old mango tree, the rum bar. Then she took us to our room. I am not exaggerating when I say that when we walked in and saw the view of the valley in front of us and the Piton mountains looming above, we both teared up. I have traveled a fair bit and my husband has been to 72 countries and it is one of the most beautiful places we have seen. Each room has its own heated plunge pool and our had an opened walled bathroom so it’s basically an outdoor shower as well but totally private. The resort staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. The concierge Kaleen made some great suggestions for snorkeling places and a place to eat at that beach. Our butler Sanjay was sweet and always looking for ways to help us out, including giving us a second bottle of champagne after we finished the welcome bottle they gave us. The food at Dasheene was good. We come from a foodie city so it wasn’t Michelin star level but perfectly good. The best part is again- that view!! Also, we discovered late that most nights there is good live music in the lounge area next to the restaurant. We got a couples massage for 90 minutes at the beautiful spa. We went early to have a bite there. The smoothies came immediately but I think I waited 40 minutes for my salad which apparently had to be made at the main r restaurant and brought over to the spa a half mile away. The massage gets mixed reviews. My husband loved his masseuse, mine was rough and I had to repeatedly tell her to lightened the pressure. The treatment rooms were nice and there is a steam room and two types of saunas. The pool at the spa is really cool too with chairs sunk into the water and a waterfall. We also hiked the entire trail around the resort. It is only about 2.5 miles but the equivalent of 49 flights of stairs up and down. It was a lot for me but worth it! There is a viewing platform at the highest point which has a different view of the Pitons from the room and it is STUNNING! there is a meditation area with “pond” that is kind of lame but then you come to the outdoor workout area which is ingenious with monkey bars and resistance machines made out of wood with cement weights you can add to them. Right before that we came to the treehouse. So cool! It’s 4 floors and each door has a cabinet with books and games and a cool water dispenser. It all built in a mango tree. Breakfast is included every day and they have every kind of food and beverage you could want, including about a dozen flavors of smoothie. The rooms each have a tablet where you can check activity schedules and order food and a little cell phone you are encouraged to take with you so wherever you go you can call reception and they will send a can to get you and bill it to your room. Saves you from getting ripped off by cabs or having to negotiate prices. when they call you one from the resort, you wait comfortably in reception until the ford desk lets reception know the cab is there. No standing around waiting. We toured the gym which is spotless and beautiful and well equipped. The main pool looked nice but we never went in it because we had our own. By the way they will adjust the temperature of your pool to your preference. They have a regular shuttle to two different beaches. We went to one of them and it was easy 12 minute ride. Another day we took a cab to a slightly further beach that we liked even better called Anse Chatenet ( and the one next to it with a great bar/ restaurant) which was 20 minutes away on a horrible hair raising road I was glad I was not driving my own car on! The St Lucia drivers are good! Having the open wall in the room was a highlight. They do everything to prevent bugs. The bed is well swathed in mosquito netting, There are lots of fans in the room and they burn mosquito repellant at night for you. Bugs were no problem in the room. They also provided (non deet) repellant and some after bite lotion. I brought my own deep woods deet filled stuff which we used at the beach. They also provide earplugs (the birds start singing early) and eye masks (room faces west for great sunsets but the sunlight does come shine in the morning. I used both, my husband used neither. On my next visit I might bring a more comfortable eye mask. The only bummer about room N is the bed upstairs and bathroom downstairs. That was tough in the middle of the night by We did have a sweet but persistent stray cat show up with our room service breakfast. We would lure her out the door and she would climb to the roof and drop back into the upstairs bedroom and come down and beg again. Happened multiple times, then she just hung out with us a bit. We actually kind of loved it. Overall, I would say this was one of the best trips to any island I have had. Ladera doesn’t have the kind of ritzy luxury you might get elsewhere but it has any amenity you might want, and the absolute best views. It is classy and homey and cozy and friendly. I was genuinely sad to leave. Everyone should go there!

The location is great, right in between the pitons. The open air suites with the view take your breath away when you enter your room for the first time. The concierge and reception were helpful in making our reservations for activities and dinners. The spa was excellent. The nature trails within the property were surprisingly jungly and give you a challenge, but have a great view at the yoga platform. However we did notice a few things lacking that made me give a 4/5: one of the receptionists was deliberately cold to me whenever I had questions for her or asked help with something. I noticed that she was behaving cheerfully with other guests. When I’m paying thousands of dollars a night to stay here, I don’t expect anything less than a warm interaction every time. In addition, the room had a bright green glowing exit sign that prevented us from having a dark sleeping environment. The initial suggestion from reception to cover it with a towel is laughable, as thats not something that I should be expected to do as a paying guest at an expensive resort. They eventually rectified the situation and owned up to the cold demeanor, but unfortunately that doesn’t change my experience.

10/10 at Ladera—It was our 43rd year anniversary. We are a M/F couple who needed these 4 relaxing days to reconnect right after the busy holidays. Upon entering the resort, we had an immediate ‘White Lotus’ season 3 vibe. The reception/concierge team of Caroline, Abigail, Ariela took care of anything and everything! Views of the two Pitons and the Sugar Beach bay below with sailboats and yachts was our sunrise and sunset. We paid more for the Holiday Suite, but had a two level room with large private, heated pool. The open wall vibe was romantic, exciting and simply amazing! A bonus being a nonstop flight from ATL!

We stayed here as part of our St Lucia honeymoon and it was nothing short of perfection! The view from our open room was incredible. The staff at the resort were welcoming and we had no issues with service. Definitely worth ordering room service breakfast for the perfect morning. The room was clean and the aesthetic fit the resort atmosphere. The open room did come with challenges against nature at night (this would be 10/10 if there was a wall in the bedroom and air con) however the views were worth it. A stunning resort for a honeymoon, would definitely recommend!

We went for our honeymoon for over a week and loved every minute. The room was better than we imagined and the view was even better. The entire experience from start to finish was well thought out and we felt special. The location, architecture, grounds, plants, staff, and weather add to the beauty of Ladera. The restaurant food was great with tons of options and room service for any meal. The experiences they offer made the trip adventurous (volcanic mud bathes were our favorite) plus the shuttle to the beaches made things easy. We will 100% be going back!

We stayed in a heritage suite for three days in December. Coming from the northeast USA in cold dark December to beautiful St Lucia is the way to go. The resort itself is gorgeous. It sits on a ridge between the pitons with spectacular views which the photos on the resorts website do not exaggerate. The staff were all polite and went above and beyond in their hospitality. We booked through American Express fine hotels and resorts program and enjoyed free breakfast each day at Dashene and a late checkout. The food at Dashene is good and the views and service there are excellent. We took advantage of complimentary yoga on the pool deck with a great instructor. All in all this is one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at. The open concept (3 walls) style rooms took a little getting used to but once you do it’s such a great way to live. Waking up with the sun and getting out of the HVAC air we live in 24/7 in the USA was revitalizing. We also did the couples massage at leve spa which was a treat. I would highly recommend Ladera to anyone going to st Lucia. It’s perfectly located and is a world class property. As a note, Ladera does have a few rooms with 4 walls and AC so book one of those if you must.

Located perfectly between the two Saint Lucia Pitons, up in the mountains facing the sea to the west, guaranteeing the most magical sunset views, pictures and setting for a romantic trip. The beautiful setting is amplified by the most wonderful staff. Sanjay our butler and Janelle the hostess greeted us with joy upon our arrival, and each of the staff we met after that was such a blessing to work with. A special shoutout to: Jeremie making cocktails, Lorne our waitress most mornings, Bernice & Cindy bringing Joy to the gift shop, Alvin & Kevin showing us the treehouse and outdoor workout area, our pool boy who made time to make sure our pool was the perfect temperature, and Abigail who made checkout a breeze. Truly too many wonderful staff to name. When you come here be sure to take advantage of the additional experiences to guarantee a special trip. The Wine tasting, the fish fry, the paint and sip, and complimentary breakfast each morning led to what can only be described as the most perfect setting for your honeymoon or a romantic trip adventure.

Wow!! We had the most amazing honeymoon at Ladera. We stayed for 5 nights, and we kept describing this resort as our own personal paradise. The staff is INCREDIBLE - special shoutouts to Bernice, Jermie, Sanjay, Cindy, Janelle, Lorne, and Abigail. Too many amazing staff members to name. Ladera is hands down the most beautiful location I've ever been to! The open-air views right out of our room was just breathtaking! We literally spent hours just holding each other taking in the Pitons. Perfect, perfect honeymoon spot! Expensive? Yes. But very much worth it! Also, shout-out to the staff who made our stay even more pleasant and bespoke, running up and down on our behalf - especially Vianney, great guy, made us feel really comfortable during our stay. Loved our stay!

My wife and I recently visited Ladera for 4 days. We were there to celebrate our honeymoon. We are SO glad to have chosen Ladera! I would rate them a full 5 star operation on all facets; treatment from their staff, beautiful accommodations, views, outstanding food, and so many fun things to do! The experience my wife and I had there will be a memory we will cherish forever. We were able to go hiking on the beautiful trails, got a couples massage at Leve, had a wonderful yoga session with Anson (he's awesome), got breakfast and dinner at all their restaurants, and enjoyed the beautiful sunset amongst the Pitons each day from our balcony. Would definitely recommend checking out the cool tree house too! Thank you to ALL at Ladera for making us feel special and at home. Special thanks to our butlers/chefs/helpers, but especially to Devonte, Vinnie "V", and Schol. My apologies for not remembering everyone else's name but they all were fantastic.

My wife and I decided to make a last minute trip to St Lucia in December. We book Ladera based on Trip Advisor reviews and Tube Videos. Like any thing you can always, find something negative but this place is amazing. The view is spectacular, the resort is charming and the people are extremely friendly. We consider ourselves hard to please but this experience has been nothing short of amazing.

We stayed at Ladera Resort in St. Lucia for our honeymoon, spending 8 nights and 9 days, and chose the all-inclusive option. From the moment we arrived, I was brought to tears — and that feeling never left. This resort is truly something special. Everything exceeded our expectations: the people, the service, the food, the cocktails, and of course, the views. We stayed in Room N, which was on the smaller side but absolutely perfect for us — intimate, peaceful, and exactly what we wanted for our honeymoon. We dined at Dasheene every single night and still couldn’t get enough. We’ll be dreaming about the shrimp risotto, blackened tuna, and the post-dinner chocolates for a very long time. The staff are what truly make Ladera unforgettable. A few people deserve special recognition: Stephanie, who handled our turndown service with such care Abigail at the front desk, who was always warm and welcoming Janelle at Dasheene, who went out of her way every night to say hello and make us feel remembered And our absolute favorite — the gentleman at the Hideaway Rum Bar, who was unbelievably kind and even shared the recipe for our favorite nightly cocktails I was emotional when we arrived, and just as emotional when it was time to leave. Ladera is not just a resort — it’s an experience, and one we will cherish forever. We cannot wait to return.

I haven’t been keeping up with my TripAdvisor reviews but wanted to post one for Ladera. My husband & I have traveled to many places around the world and both agree that Ladera is a very special place. The views from the property, from your private room are unforgettable. Upon checking in, we felt as if we were on a second honeymoon. Some items to note are as follows: - Roundtrip airport transfers were complimentary. - Breakfast at Dasheene was complimentary and included a wide variety of choices. - Roundtrip shuttles to Malgretoute Beach and Sugar Beach were complimentary. - Yoga classes were complimentary. - The resort offered hiking trails on-site as well as an indoor gym and an outdoor gym. - Reservations were recommended for dinner at Dasheene, we ate there several times and enjoyed each meal, the menu rotated every other day. - We ate dinner at Hotel Chocolat one night, it was a short walk across the street from Ladera. - There was a main pool onsite, but we mostly swam in our private heated pool. - We didn’t have issues with bugs and slept great in the fresh air; the fans kept the temperature comfortable at night. We would very much recommend this resort for a honeymoon or special occasion (for those who love the outdoors) and hope to return in the future.

When I first learned about Ladera 10 years ago, I knew this is where I wanted to spend my 20th wedding anniversary and it was a great decision. This place is like no where on earth. I travel a bit for work and get to experience some amazing hotels and none come close to Ladera and its staff. The team here is bar none, top class. They were very helpful and everyone greeted you with a smile, from your butler to the groundskeepers. Let me address some of those standard concerns as well. The temperature was perfect. the first day we got there the pool was super cold, which during the day felt refreshing but at night, it was too cold. I let the team know and they were on it, and the second night it was a good temp all around. The bugs: we are south florida natives so bugs don't concern us too much. As far as the hotel room it wasn't a problem. The linens are very clean and the bed was super comfortable. we saw a couple of large, but amazing looking moths that happened into our room and then didn't bother us. My wife is a mosquito magnet and she did get bit a little at dinner, we feel it was more our fault for not putting on the spray and we had done the superman hike earlier that day, so the shade is a big place for mosquitos. So with that, use the provided sprays if you know mosquitos get you. Didn't have a problem with bugs in the bed area, or in the pool. The temperature in the room was great. Mid november it was lovely with the breeze and the fans. One thing that did catch me off guard was the sound of the crickets. I had never heard crickets like they have there. It sounded like a laser battle! The provided ear protection and floor fans did help to mask that sound a little bit. It woke me up a couple of times during the night, but funny enough the whole trip I never felt tired. The fresh air, fresh food, the piton beer and the view of the pitons kept me nourished. Ladera is an absolute must to put on your bucket list. We will always cherish our time there and now thanks to them, we are huge fans of jerk chicken!

From the moment of arrival at the airport, La Dera’s staff provided the best experience, service, accommodations, and experiences. The staff are soft spoken, kind, & positive, taking great pride in their resort. They go above & beyond to exceed expectations making your experience the absolute best. It’s as though they are always one step ahead, providing answers and services promptly. Ray, the gardener loves educating and describing his tenure of work for 20+ years, Leah is dining insures each meal is curated to your liking, Daryl, Ray, and all of the staff, including pool maintenance are Johnnie on the spot! We can’t wait to return! A beautiful & unique experience.

Ladera Resort in St. Lucia deserves more than five stars—our entire stay was absolutely unforgettable. We celebrated our ten-year marriage anniversary here, and everyone on the team went above and beyond to make sure it was truly special. The service was top-notch from the moment we arrived, and every staff member we met was warm, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to making our experience perfect. A huge shout-out to Dayne, our driver to and from the airport—he welcomed us with such kindness, made us feel comfortable right away, and set the tone for an amazing stay. Every meal we had was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Housekeeping ensured our room was spotless every single day. And the butler service was exceptional across the board. Special recognition goes to the wonderful butlers who assisted us: Rohan, Saidely, Vianney, and especially Devonte, our main butler who took care of us most often. Their attentiveness and timing were incredible—there were moments when we weren’t expecting anything, yet a butler was already outside our room ready to assist. Our room featured a breathtaking view of the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea—waking up to that every morning felt surreal. The entire resort is incredibly peaceful and allows you to truly disconnect from technology so you can experience the island’s beauty in its purest form. The views, the nature, and the quiet serenity alone are enough to make you fall in love with this place.
