Came here for a couples retreat long weekend and was blown away by the place. The location, staff, amenities, restaurants are top notch. I need to stress that the level of service received is comparable only with great resorts outside of Greece. Amenities are always there and the concierge is wonderful. Rooms are spacious and the ones with the private pool that we stayed on was great. Recommended for a nice relaxing time. Not cheap but many offer are about so keep an eye out as it can be very competitive but always well worth it.

Went for a long weekend back in July with my girlfriend. We had a fantastic 4 days and spent time doing many different activities within the resort ranging from hanging out at the different pools/beach to playing tennis. The restaurants are also great as well as the breakfast, with countless of options to choose from. While I've been to the Westin a few times in the past and therefore was familiar with the area, the location of the hotel is also convenient for going to places outside the hotel such as Voidokoilia beach, as well as walking around the town of Gialova.

We had an absolutely terrible experience with the booking process at this hotel. We initially reached out via email to book a room for an upcoming wedding, but shockingly, we did not receive any reply for two weeks. There was no acknowledgment of our inquiry, let alone an apology for the delayed response. When we finally managed to contact the hotel, we were met with further frustration. The employee we spoke to was completely unaware of the cancellation policy, which is crucial information when booking a room. She mentioned that they have many weddings and that she is handling everything by herself. While we understand that weddings can be busy times for hotels, this lack of professionalism is unacceptable, especially from a property that claims to be five-star. Is this really the service level we should expect from a five-star hotel? Unfortunately, based on our experience, this hotel falls far short of that standard. We are deeply disappointed and will be considering other options in the future.

We can't speak more highly on The Romanos after just getting back. From the moment you enter the level of service is on a different level, all staff are so professional, welcoming and cannot do enough for you. We went for our 10 year wedding anniversary and they made it a truly special stay and made our celebrations something we will never forget. Anna Evangelatou in particular was amazing with us. She went out of her way to make our stay and experience so memorable. Helping us book our restaurants and advice for excursions and activities. There was nothing too big that Anna and her team couldn't do - she was also on hand all the time with any questions we had. It was such a nice personal touch. The staff at breakfast were so friendly and hospitable. We really enjoyed Onuki and Flames which were recommended. The staff at Onuki especially had exceptional knowledge on the menu. (Obviously you must check out Barbouni) Facilities at the Romanos are so good, everything is so well thought out and make sense. Rooms were large, with little amenities dropped off by housekeeping randomly which is a nice touch. You have access to costa navarino outdoors to hire outdoor equipment as well as facilities at the Westin. Buggies are available 24/7 to take you anywhere you need as the hotel is huge! Honestly, recommend to everyone, just book it! You will not be disappointed.

Our stay here was magical. We couldn't decide between the Westin, Romanos or W. I am glad we chose the Romanos. It is quieter than the Westin. More lux too. And the W while cool, seems less like a resort. And more like a hotel. Positives- Loved the food- all restaurants and the breakfast buffet. Service was great everywhere. Especially at Flame and Kooc. At Onuki the service was mixed- some great servers and some that did not make you feel welcome- like the hostess. Beach club- Thanos was the best. He really made us feel welcome. Housekeeping was good. Usually I have complaints about this but none here. The front desk- This is my only gripe. When we arrived, we did not get an overview of the hotel, a printout of our reservations, a list of activities etc. We found out later that we missed out on things like a wine tasting and the hotel lounge. Who knew? And when we inquired about different things- such as use of the W facilities we got incorrect info. Seems everyone is inexperienced. Maybe summer hires. Outdoor activities- I feel this could be improved upon. There could be some bikes on site. Some equipment at the beach- to be rented or used. Like SUPs, rafts etc. There could be some music at the beach too and pool. Maybe live. This is the high season. I went snorkeling- meh. There wasn't much to see and the boat was an inflatable. I expected more on a snorkeling trip from a 5 star hotel. The pool is lovely but small. Some umbrellas were broken for several days. These should have been repaired. This is the high season and it is hot!!! Golf course- Amazing!!! Really an awesome, relaxing trip.
