We went on a 10 day break - our first holiday with no children since our honeymoon 32 years ago! And what a place to go. From the minute you arrive the welcome is warm from the lovely staff on Reception. We spoke to Maria on arrival, who along with the rest of the front of house staff were excellent. Nothing too much trouble. Little touches with mattered - for example we had one of the ladies who service the room leave some towels on our bed in the shape of a heart with some flowers. Lovely touch. The properties are amazing, beautifully done out, we had a kitchen, fridge, washing machine and fridge freezer, a large sofa, big TV which we logged into our Netflix and Amazon accounts, and a dining room table. Outside a beautiful view - sun beds, and outside dining too. A lovely infinity pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and mini-gym with stunning views. The weather was beautiful, around 25 degrees C and clear blue skies. The only thing I would say is for someone like me with poor circulation the pool was a tad chilly, we plumped for it to be heated the last few days, but it was an extra 90 Euros a day. But worth it. Then there is the breakfast - you won't be disappointed, there is so much choice, English, Continental, Greek plus so much more. Salmon for breakfast every day! And the coffee is amazing, even decaffeinated for me. There was even Prosecco every other day! The staff. First class. Not only in their service, but the way they engage with you and turn eating a meal into an event. Wonderful people, Sofia and her team, I can't name them all, or remember all their names, but Manolis (and his sister!), Vitalis and Michalis, the young guy with them (I forgot your name!) as well as the guy on the bar (sorry forgot your name!) were a credit and a joy to spend time with, all of them. To all of you, thank you for making our holiday even more special! Be prepared on a Thursday night after dinner for some traditional Greek dancing, you have to join in, followed by a jump in the pool fully clothed with Vitalis. He will persuade you! Well, my wife, not me! Σας ευχαριστώ όλους. Neil and Teresa.

What a great hotel, we had the most perfect holiday. From the moment of arrival when you are warmly greeted (at 11pm) with a cold refreshing drink to check out 7 days later the staff could not have been better. The suite was just lovely the bed was super comfy and the bathroom had all you needed and more. Breakfast was an amazing choice and the orange juice was freshly squeezed. The beach club was the most relaxing beach I've ever experienced so peaceful and George could not have been anymore attentive, fresh beach towels and mineral water on ice provided the moment you arrived.

Heaven on earth! This place is very very special. We booked last minute and got a fabulous offer which included a private airport transfer and half board. We were met by someone to help us with our luggage, then a very nice car was waiting to take us to the hotel. Upon arrival we had a delicious lemon drink to welcome us, and the lovely ladies at reception were incredibly helpful and friendly. Our room had its own pool, which was just stunning!! I was pinching myself when I saw the breathtaking views. But also, we had so many small home comforts, quality sunbed loungers, towels for the pool, a very comfortable bed (very important) and daily housekeeping that were so attentive (we had little flowers left everywhere in the room one day) The hotel staff cannot do enough to help, we had some dietary issues and they took great care to ensure that my husband had anything he needed. Breakfast was so amazing we had all kinds of eggs, smoked salmon, Greek pastries, (mini donuts to die for and the Bougatsa cream pastry was incredible) Greek yoghurt, fresh fruit and Prosecco daily. Staff made me lovely lattes too. Dinners by the pool were delicious (the soufflé was outstanding) They also had a Greek buffet night that was good. Thank you to Sophia, Dimitri, George, (both of them!) Janis, Vassilli, Nectaria, Micheal and Manos. The beach staff were equally helpful and it was a great place to go to if we wanted a change of scene. No fighting for sunbeds, or paying for them - just arrive (by a lovely driver in the minivan) and everything was there including bottled water. Big George was there to bring you all you need! Excellent food and drinks too. Tip - Just bring your own beach shoes as there are some rocks on the sea bed. Elounda Gulf is the perfect place to rest, recharge, enjoy the stunning views and beautiful peace and quiet. We will never forget this trip. Thank you so much.

We visited in September as the first stop of our honeymoon and immediately felt at peace and relaxed by the team at the front desk when we checked in. They were amazingly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The accommodations were luxurious, with the private infinity pool & glass ceilinged shower being the highlights. We enjoyed breakfast daily and lazed by the refreshing salt water pool at the hotel. Whilst the property is not built on a beach, it was very easy to get shuttled there and enjoy the day beds with the warm water and amazing food available at the restaurant there. Located a quick 3 minute drive, or 15 minute walk to the town of Elounda, the location was ideal. Private, yet close enough to the nearby town or 10 minutes from the larger town of Agios Nikolas.

Wow, where do I start. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. The ladies in reception (especially Maria) were so lovely. Nothing was too much bother. The room WOW, the views WOW, the food WOW. The service we received from the waiting staff was second to none. They were so attentive, kind and nothing was ever too much trouble. Thank you so much for such a lovely experience, we are already looking at booking for next year. This place is amazing and couldn’t recommend it enough. Thank you to all your staff (including the drivers who picked us up daily to take us to breakfast and the hard working driver who took us to the beach)!. Thank you what a week!

Enjoyed 8 nights here We had a 1 bed suite which was huge, with a lovely bathroom and separate lounge Food wise was excellent from the lovely breakfasts, daily lunches by the pool and 2 dinners in the evening Service was friendly and very helpful The villas are around an hour from airport (115 € exec transfer), then in taxis 10 mins from Elounda centre (10€), 15-20 from Plaka (15-€) and 20 mins from Ag Nic (16€) The pool was empty most days as people in pool villas stayed around the villas and others went to the beach club. On a couple of days it was a bit noisy, if family’s were playing in pool, but for the majority of time it was great !!! No probs we reserving beds due to amount of people using pool Beachclub ( located just past Domes hotel) - sea was lovely there on our visit Tip is to ask reception how many people have gone down their in the 15 min courtesy bus, as again it can be busy as only 2/3 working at bar restaurant and took us 1 hour to get lunch So in summary lovely villa, great food and we might be back in the future with our girls !!!

I’m not sure where to begin. This has to be one of the nicest places we’ve stayed at. From the moment we arrived, we could get a sense of how special this place is. Nothing is too much trouble, anything you ask for is accommodated. The resort is stunning - a bit hilly, but that doesn’t matter as you can get a lift in a club car whenever you need. Our suite was located at the top of the resort and had the most amazing views over Elounda ,a very generous garden with a huge private pool. My lasting impression was watching the sunrise through floor to ceiling windows from the comfort of the very comfortable bed. The grounds are maintained to a high standard. All of the staff without exception had a smile on their faces and were so so friendly and helpful. Food choices were plentiful and delicious with buffet breakfast and a wide menu for lunch and dinner. Waiting staff, led by Sophia , were extremely professional and it made for a very relaxing dining experience. If I could have squeezed Maria from reception into my suitcase, she would be home here with me now….absolutely delightful, as were the other ladies , in fact my list would be endless if I had to mention individual staff.Thank you so much for a fabulous holiday…. I’m sure we’ll be back.

Elounda Gulf Villas are a fantastic resort with beautiful views out to the Aegean Sea. The food is delicious. We had an imperial one bedroom villa. The pool was amazing infinity pool. Most importantly we experienced a beautiful welcome from reception and guest relations. The highlight of our stay were all the staff especially Sophia and Vasils who made you feel like you were being looked after by long lost family. However all the staff are a credit to their employers. Nothing is too much trouble We felt very relaxed. This is our last day here before moving on to our next stop in Crete but it will be hard to leave. We never return to the same place twice however we would absolutely make another trip or two to this resort without hesitation. There is a golf buggy aka The Limo that collects and returns you to your villa if you wish.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in (and that's a lot !!). The staff are genuinely very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. We stayed in one of the suites, which was huge and beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean (which goes for the rest of the hotel). As we didn't have our own pool we made good use of the hotel pool, which was lovely. The food was amazing. Huge choice at breakfast and as we were on a half board basis ate at the hotel every night. Some of the best food I've enjoyed in a while. It was lovely to dine outside around the pool area each evening. I would recommend this hotel 100% and go back in a heartbeat.
