Facilities • Clean and constantly refreshed. It was receiving a fresh coat of paint while we were there. • 3 Elevators that do not “ding”, so pay attention for when the doors open. • Main lobby floor with check-in/out, tours/excursions, concierge, most of the restaurants, lobby bar, coffee/sweet shop, general merchandise store and a jewelry store. The Sol pool is located here as well as stairways down to the beach. • 3rd floor has the Cavo Bar and Terraza patio restaurant, with a smaller infinity pool. • Bottom floor has the Spa, Salon, Pure restaurant and Luna Pool & bar • There are plenty of hotel staff around, so just ask for directions. • NOTE: if you get various credits, make sure you ask and understand how and where they are applied. We had “Blanc Benefit” credits, but only 50% can be used at the Spa, the rest could be spent elsewhere such as golf green fees, some excursions, pictures, limited selections at the shops. However, you have to pay the tax, which the benefits do not cover. If you attend one of the 90-minute member pitches, they may offer you different credits that can be used to cover your taxes and any other purchases not covered by the Blanc Benefits. They were listed in my App under Billing. It got confusing, and we left a couple bucks on the “table”. If you charge Spa tips to your room, none of the credits cover those, you have to pay them. Room • We had a Lagoon view room • A Room Concierge took us to our room, and we were shown where various things were located and some instructions in the lights. It took us a couple tries to figure out which light switches controlled certain lights. He also showed us the TV and how to access the various services and order things such as the pillow menu, aromatherapy options for the room and pillow, room service and how to request a bath to be drawn. o Rooms were well appointed with French balcony (just ability to open windows, no step-out balcony. o Plenty of storage for clothing with drawers and closet. o Plenty of walking space o TV has a Chromecast option so you can link your device. Most of the channels are the Spanish version with the major US networks broadcasts in English. o “Bar” area had  several types of glasses,  snacks (Gummy Worms, Salted peanuts, dried peas, Pringles Chips)  4 bottles of liquor in dispensers. It took a bit of maneuvering to find the sweet spot to release the liquor. My room had Johnnie Walker Black, Grey Goose, Centenario Anejo and Flor De Cana 5 year. I believe these can be changed by asking your Butler, but I was happy with what I had. None of them tasted watered down.  There is a Illy coffee machine that can do espresso and regular coffee, spending on the pod and button pushed.  Electric tea pot with an array of teas.  Small fridge with some beer, club soda, tonic, sodas. We asked for Ginger ale, and it was replenished daily. o Bed: was very comfortable with a memory foam topper. Our bed did have some deep body sags but wasn’t uncomfortable. o Spa tub for two people with shear curtains. o Sink was a single, with limited counter space and storage.  NOTE: Would be nice to have hooks for a toiletry bag. We used the swingout vanity mirror to hang our kits. o A full walk-in shower with a wand and overhead rain tied together and two body sprays on its own controller. A knob is used to switch from rain to wand. The toilet is in the same space as the shower. Together it can be a little cramped. o The room had a small table and chairs that we used for room service for breakfast. o The AC system was OK, but didn’t get the room as cool as we like.  NOTE: if you are on the Lagoon side, you get the afternoon sun that will heat up your room. You can ask your Butler to have the shades closed after a certain time. We asked for 1:00pm. Room Service: We only used it for Breakfast a couple of times. Mainly for coffee, fruit and pastries and pre-ordered the night before. The one time we ordered eggs, they were cold, even though they had them in a portable warmer. We were notified via text that it was on the way. Food arrives on a cart that they leave with you. We never tried to order breakfast day-of, but our friends said theirs arrived within 20 minutes. Butler – This is the one person(s) that will make your stay memorable. The Butlers go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. They can make reservations for dinner or a spa. They send daily morning texts with the day’s activities. Need a bottle of wine, just ask. Bath drawn for a specific time, no problem. If they are at their desk, they will greet you by name and call for the elevator. • NOTE: Make sure you know whose phone number the Butler has. The Butler was trying to reach me but only had my wife’s number. Restaurant: There are three “main” restaurants. They do require reservations, which you can make before you arrive, have your Butler do it, or use their App. We didn’t see restaurants packed, and I think they try to limit the number of guests to enhance the atmosphere and service. They are not in a hurry to “turn tables” to allow for a relaxing and pleasant dining experience. They do have dress codes listed on the App, but not always enforced (collared shirt require but men in plain T-shirts. House wines were good and mainly from Spain. There were no up-charges for certain menu items, and portion sizes were sufficient. Our favorites restaurants in order • Lumiere – Outstanding service with great food • Blanc-Evening Steakhouse – Great service with delicious grass-fed Angus beef. The 72oz Tomahawk is a must • Bella – Great service delicious food. Lobster risotto and Ossobuco are recommended. • Terraza – Nice outside patio dining with a decent food selection. It is a more casual dining experience, so service was not to the same level as the top 3. • Sol Pool Grill – Good selection for lunch • K’akau is a coffee/sweet shop that is a class of it’s own. Various coffee, hand-painted chocolates, macarons, donuts and crepes. Also, a selection of cookies. • Yama – Good service with some interesting twists to Japanese cuisine. • Blanc Buffet – Great service, but food selections can be lacking (omelet filling choices) but enough to eat. We are not big buffet eaters so take the opinion with a grain of salt. • Pure (Luna pool grill) – Low on the list due to menu selections that were not to our liking. The one time we had sandwiches, they were good. Pool – 3 pools, all supported by bars and food options, • The Sol pool is the main infinity pool where most of the action takes place. Special lunch meals, shoulder massages, etc, with plenty of staff to keep drinks and food coming. It is also the most crowded and the chair holders are usually out early. NOTE: The resort does reserve select chairs for specific members but opens them up around 10:30 if none of them come down. • Smaller infinity pool on 3, next to Terraza. The chairs were never filled the whole time we were there. • Luna pool is on the Spa level near the Lagoon and is larger than Sol pool. This is where most of the afternoon activities take place. It can get very hot at this pool in the afternoon. • The beach is nice, sandy, and swimmable, with plenty of chairs. They will place umbrellas for you upon request. Service here is a little slower due to staffing, but there is a beach bar. Down the beach you can rent jet skis and parasailing. They are not associated with the resort. Spa: The Spa and Salon are next to each other. • At the Salon, we did Mani-Pedis quick that were OK and nothing special. My wife has 3 polish coats on one hand and two on the other when the manicurist ran off. • The Spa is the star! The provide a relaxing environment, with the offer of a “magic” cool towel and a small glass of spa water. They do have you wait for an attendant. The Attendant helps show you the facility and guide you through the hydrotherapy process. You can go in without waiting if you are familiar with the process. The spa is split between Men and Women. o Each side has a changing area, shower area, sinks with various toiletries and restrooms. o The hydrotherapy circuit was my favorite, starting with the dry sauna (where they want you to lay down with cucumber slices and cool towel), ice room (where they recommend scrubbing down with ice and applying aloe vera. Then the station where they offer you conditioner for your hair, face mask lotion and body scrub before going into the steam room. After that you hit a nice cooling rain shower then headed to the pool area. Here is a warm (under 100 degrees) hot tub, followed by a cold! plunge pool then a lukewarm tub. There are warming chairs and cushioned loungers available. o NOTE: Service in the men’s area varied depending on how busy they were. The two attendants worked hard to keep track of all the people in various stages of the hydrotherapy circuit. They were good at keeping track of your time, and you can ask for a specific duration in the various stations. One time when it wasn’t busy, they provided a scalp massage. o The Spa service area had a great relaxing waiting area, and some of the best massages we’ve had at a resort/cruise spa. NOTE: Great job by La Blanc to not include “upsells” at the end of your spa services. I’ve had those at other resort/cruise spas, and it kills the experience. Entertainment: Entertainment is provided at the Lobby, Cavo bars, and Terraza patio on various evenings. Sometimes they have light music performed at the Sol pool, but there is no blasting music at any other pools. The App provides a schedule of all the events. Afternoon games at the Luna pool were fun. • The music was fantastic. The Duo couple had awesome harmony while the Trio were fun to listen to. • The Mentalist was great and very entertaining. • There were a couple acrobatic performances held at the Luna pool that were good.

And the food? Don't even get me started! It was phenomenal! But I especially wanted to shout out the beach crew – they went above and beyond to make our anniversary extra special. We actually met Cristian from the beach team on previous trips, which was already cool, but this time he totally blew us away. He remembered us from before, came over to say hi, and even knew it was our anniversary! That kind of attention to detail is amazing. We spent the whole trip hanging out on the beach, and the whole team – Jesus, Victor, Emmanuel, Rafael, Marcos, Juan, and Hernando – made us feel so welcome and pampered every single day. My wife and I visited Le Blanc Cancun to celebrate our anniversary and I cannot stress the level of service at this resort. The entire staff from the bartenders to the people setting out the towels to the spa staff were all amazing. And the food! Wow!!! I wanted to give a special mention that the beach staff took it to another level to make us feel welcome, special and even loved. It started on our very first day when we were enjoying the hot tub and Cristian from the beach was working his section. (We met Cristian several trips before) but we were amazed that not only did he remember us, but he came out of his section to greet us, and knew we were there for our anniversary! Very impressive. We spent every day of our trip on the beach and the beach staff is incredible. Jesus, Victor, Emmanuel, Rafael, Marcos, Juan and Hernando, made us feel special every day. We can’t wait to return!
