British Airways has just completed a new renovation at their lounge at JFK Airport, with posh additions, extra space, and an adjacent spa where couples can get heavenly 15-minute spa treatments before or after their flight, all complimentary. Travel + Leisure magazine also raved about their added an automated wine tasting station where you can walk up and taste an ounce of wine, with a wine steward to tell you about each selection and answer all your questions.
As for the spa, it's called the Elemis Travel Spa, and their menu contains a number of innovative treatments all featuring Elemis spa products. Some of our favorites are the Jet Lag Eye Reviver, Sleep Soother back massage, and Firm Up and Fly treatments. they have treatments specialized just for men as well -- grooms deserve to look and feel their best too, just like their glowing brides! There's just no better way to prepare for a long flight or look your best for that beach visit you have planned for the day of your arrival than with a complimentary meal, a couple of glasses of wine, and a spa session!
Wine tasting? Spa treatments? At JFK's updated lounges, your honeymoon begins before you've even gotten on the plane! The catch is, you have to be a business class or first-class flyer, or a Gold Card member. Also important to note is that you have to be sure to arrive early -- as you might have guessed, there's high demand for full back massages and pre-flight facials, so slots can fill up quickly. Thankfully, you can pre-book treatments in advance as well.
