More Ocho Rios Restaurants
The dining scene in Ocho Rios features restaurants from hip and casual, to dressy and elegant, with cuisines from Caribbean to Italian, and all kinds in between. Romantic options abound downtown, by the sea, and in intimate dining rooms fashioned in the old colonial style of Jamaica’s rich past. We picked a few of our favorites to share below, but if you found a perfect romantic restaurant on a trip of your own, let us know in the comments!
- SCOTCHIE’S TOO.
Serving authentic Jamaican specialties like some of the finest jerk chicken and pork on the island, Scotchie’s Too is a must-visit restaurant for honeymooners who want the real thing. Just west of Dunn’s River Falls, it’s perfect for honeymooners who want a great lunch and drinks while they dry off from their adventures in the nearby beach and jungle. There’s another location in Montego Bay, but word amongst visitors is that they got it even better the second time.
Address: North Coast Highway, West of Dunn’s River Falls
Think you can’t get authentic Italian cuisine and wines on a Caribbean island? Let Toscanini change your mind. It’s not Italy (or New York City,) but the chef and head waiter are a brother-sister team who own and run Toscanini as if serving dishes back in their native Italy. The 19th-century building makes for a spacious, romantic dining area that sings with an upscale European vibe. Make reservations ahead of time – this is one of the best and most popular restaurants in Ocho Rios.

- LE PAPILLON RESTAURANT.
Located at Sandals Royal Plantation Resort, Le Papillon is the most upscale restaurant in Ocho Rios (and one of the only restaurants at Sandals Resorts that’s open to the public.) With French cuisine and a luxe ambiance you’ll need to dress up for this one, and prepare for a magnificent setting with curated details like velvet wallpaper and a grand, sweeping and sophisticated dining room. This is for couples who want to splurge on one of the Caribbean’s ultimate fancy dinner dates. Reservations are a must.

Add the incredible views and an ambiance that’s part upscale and part relaxed, and you have one of the best dining experiences in Ocho Rios. Dine with panoramic views of the sea on their open-air veranda to sit back, clink glasses and relax with a perfect meal in a stunning setting.

- BAMBOO BLU.
Delicious seafood fresh from the ocean on “Reggae Beach,” a gorgeous slice of golden-sand paradise – this is what Jamaica is all about. The bright blue Caribbean and the salty sea breeze embrace you here for a dining environment that’s pure tropic bliss. The service is always up to honeymoon par (you’ll feel special even if you’re not on your celebration newlywed trip,) and after your meal you can turn a lunch date into a full couple’s beach day with prime sunbathing, swimming and relaxing in the azure waters.

- BOTTLES & CHIMNEY BAR & RESTAURANT.
Serving Greek, American and Jamaican cuisines all under one roof, Bottles & Chimney Bar & Restaurant is a relaxing venue for a meal by the sea. The cocktails are as great as the food and ambiance, which is saying a lot at a perfectly laid-back, Caribbean style location with as many great restaurant options as Ocho Rios. Watch boats go by, play peek-a-boo with birds in the palms and let the warm welcome last a little bit longer with just one more drink by the sea.
